Ron was stunned.
Harry and Hermione were also a little surprised, and asked in unison: "How do you say hello?"
Ron felt a lump in his heart. Maybe he had eaten too much pork elbow tonight. He should eat something light tomorrow, maybe a roast chicken.
Harry waved his hand, indicating that Hermione should speak first.
"I'll ask Crookshanks to tell Mrs. Norris not to bring Filch here tonight," Hermione said.
Harry nodded. "Me too. Have Hedwig send a bag of rations to Mrs. Norris to bribe it not to come over tonight."
They turned to look at Ron.
Ron was startled and waved his hands: "Don't look at me, didn't Scabbers escape? Even if it was still there, I can't send a mouse to a cat."
"I mean, in that case, you don't have to worry." Harry took out his wand and waved it gently. The classroom door was locked and the tattered curtains were drawn open.
Two puffs.
The abandoned desks on the wall stretched out and turned into two candles, burning and emitting light.
Ron looked on with envy.
Although he can achieve this level, it will never be so easy. He has to do it one thing at a time.
"Before you learn to duel, I need to see your abilities." Harry stepped aside and said softly, "Come on, duel and let me see."
Ron and Hermione looked at each other.
They stood opposite each other properly, bowed to each other, and then glared at Harry.
"Why are you looking at me?" Harry asked in confusion after a long silence.
"No countdown?" Ron asked confidently.
Harry opened his mouth and all the words came out in a sigh: "Then I will correct your first mistake."
"There is no such thing as complicated etiquette when fighting."
"bow?"
“It doesn’t exist.”
"Did Tom bow to you that day?"
"Show no mercy to your enemies."
Ron nodded thoughtfully.
"Expelliarmus!"
Hermione acted quickly and decisively. The red light hit Ron, causing him to stagger. He raised his right hand high, and his wand flew up and fell to the ground with a thud.
"You're so sudden, Hermione!" Ron didn't even bother to stand still. He used his hands and feet to crawl to his wand, picked it up carefully, and wiped it with his robe.
"That's what Harry said, there's no need for those complicated etiquettes." Hermione said proudly, waving her wand.
Ron gritted his teeth: "If you come again, you'll be a sneak attack!"
They stood opposite each other again, unconsciously trying to bow.
Just lowered your head.
Ron suddenly took action and put his knowledge into practice: "Expelliarmus!"
Hermione was prepared and dodged sideways, chanting a spell, and the remaining abandoned tables began to twist and deform, turning into several ginger kittens.
Time was running out and the deformation was so bad that it just barely resembled a cat.
But this perfunctory transformation makes these kittens look like Crookshanks.
"These are useless to me!" Ron gritted his teeth and chanted the spell.
Flames burst out and engulfed the cats.
"Everyone is petrified!"
A spell suddenly passed through the flames and fell on Ron.
The angry expression solidified on his face.
Harry waved his wand.
The flames died down, the kittens transformed back into abandoned tables and chairs and walked back to the corner, and Ron was able to recover from the effects of the petrification spell.
"Have you done any dueling practice?" Harry looked at Hermione.
Hermione blushed slightly, "I wrote down what you said last semester, and sometimes I practiced it on my own."
Ron was shocked: "I don't know."
Harry agreed, "I don't know either."
Hermione said shyly, "Sometimes I get up early and can't concentrate on my books. Harry will go out for exercise and you will still be sleeping, Ron."
"The idea of the duel is very good and clear." Harry nodded and praised her. "As for the shortcomings, there are actually many."
Hermione's face fell.
"But for a beginner, it's already pretty good. The most important thing is footwork. Footwork is a very important part of a wizard duel." Harry went on to say, "Your footwork must match your tactics."
Hermione nodded thoughtfully.
"And Ron." Harry gave a few simple pointers and turned to look at his red-haired friend, "Your shortcomings are obvious."
"First of all, you have no tactical thinking."
"The spells have to be coordinated with the spells. What is your purpose in casting the fire spell?"
Ron gritted his teeth and said, "Burn those Crookshanks... I mean, burn those deformed creatures."
"And then?" Harry asked.
Ron was a little confused.
What then?
"Just like Hermione just now, she used the Transfiguration Spell to interfere with you, disrupt your vision, and hid the Petrification Spell behind the Transfiguration Creation." Harry said in a serious tone, "You just want to burn those things with fire, and then what will happen after burning them?"
"Have you guessed Hermione's train of thought?"
"Have you thought of a way to deal with it?"
Ron lowered his head and muttered, "But she humiliated me. Why not conjure up a bunch of cats?"
"Verbal attacks are rude, but very useful." Harry said calmly, "When two people of similar strength fight, if one person's mind starts to become confused, the outcome is doomed."
Harry paused and said, "Remember the first lesson of Care of Magical Creatures?"
"That worked for you on Malfoy."
Ron opened his mouth and said, "That wasn't Malfoy. Thank God, I was able to hold back and not beat him up and send him to the school infirmary. That was very restrained."
"You may not be able to beat him." Harry said simply.
Ron pinched his waist and said, "I'm third in the grade, and he's only fifth."
Look into Harry's calm eyes.
He shrank his head and said, "Well, at least I can beat Crookshanks with my level, so don't talk about it anymore..."
"Maybe?" Harry hesitated.
Ron was startled and clenched his teeth: "What do you mean by maybe?"
"That's the general idea," Harry explained seriously.
Ron waved his hands. "It's not that I'm illiterate. I know what 'maybe' means, but what is maybe?"
Harry waved his hand and ignored his words: "Dueling is best improved through actual combat. Next, both of you attack me together. Don't hold back."
"Two?" Hermione asked worriedly.
Ron spat, "Hermione, don't worry about Harry. He can fight Tom back and forth."
"He needs to be serious and think about that day."
Two against one, they had no advantage at all.
Until one in the morning.
They just stopped training, and Hermione was a little unwilling, as if she wanted to train for a while longer. But after all, they still had classes tomorrow, and they needed enough rest at their age.
Ron covered his face and said, "I think I know why Professor Flitwick looks like that."
"Harry, you spent the entire summer like this with Professor Flitwick?"
Harry nodded, "The professor is old. Last year he could have practical lessons with me twice a week, but this year he can only have one a week."
"Also two hours?" Hermione's hands were still weak.
Harry shook his head. "Usually one day."
Wow…
The two of them didn't know what to exclaim about.
The professor is worthy of being a professor.
Two hours was a bit too much for them, but he could actually hold on for the entire day.
Wait for the next day.
At about eight o'clock in the morning, Ron struggled to get up from the bed. He didn't feel anything last night, but now he just felt a pain in his waist and legs.
He put on his clothes and walked out of the dormitory.
In the common room, Harry and Hermione had already started discussing spells.
"You two are here so early." Ron looked resentful.
"You got up too late." Hermione's expression was serious. She waved her wand and a roll of parchment flew out of her schoolbag.
She nodded gently: "Copy it in pairs."
The parchment split into another piece and flew in front of Ron.
"What is this?" Ron took it, somewhat puzzled.
Hermione replied, "These are my notes from last night. You don't think Harry is simply scolding us, do you? The footsteps of the duel and the rhythm of the spells are all clearly stated."
Ron held it firmly, but his tone was painful: "I would rather Professor Potter was scolding me."
"Then Professor Potter will give you another assignment." Harry said gently, "Submit a paper on dueling before Sunday. Five inches."
"Oh no!" Ron was even more distressed.
Hermione snorted, "Me too. It's still my suggestion."
Ron looked at Hermione in disbelief.
How can someone be like this?
He even took the initiative to ask for homework to be assigned to him.
Is this the strength of the second oldest?
"Don't be so unhappy." Harry waved his hand and stood up. "I have good news for you."
Ron glanced sideways: "Don't tell me that the three duel training sessions per night will be increased to four."
"It's Saturday," Harry said cheerfully. "Remember what I told you last year?"
Ron was stunned for a moment, then recalled: "I ranked third in my grade, and you took me to the Forbidden Forest?"
Harry nodded, "I have to go there on Saturday. Gryffindor's map is a bit outdated. The territories of many magical creatures have changed a lot, and even the terrain has changed."
"We need to redraw the map. Would you like to come?"
Ron nodded excitedly: "Of course!"
"I've been thinking about it for a long time. George and his classmates went to the Forbidden Forest in their second year. I heard it was very exciting."
"It's very exciting." Harry nodded, "Hermione, do you want to come?"
Hermione hesitated, put her hands inside her robes, and nodded, "Of course, I have no problem."
Ron was very excited about the news that they could go to the Forbidden Forest on Saturday. He remained in such an excited state for several days. He even performed well in the duel training at night and even defeated Hermione several times.
Until Saturday.
The young wizards were extremely happy as they welcomed their first day off after their heavy studies. The Weasley brothers, along with a few little lions, were planning how to break into the door of the Slytherin common room and kidnap Draco Malfoy.
Percy pretended that he had something to do with the student council and left the lounge. He didn't hear those things.
Harry taught Hermione and the others another lesson.
How to be prepared for danger at any time and what to carry with you.
It took them two full hours to prepare potions, medicines, materials and other things properly, and they set out from the dormitory and headed for the Forbidden Forest.
