Chapter 129: Snape, stay away from Harry!

"You seem to understand." Harry looked at Dumbledore.

The moonlight was bright, shining down and filling the entire boat.

"Not everyone is like you." Dumbledore said with a complicated expression, "Who hasn't done a few wrong things?"

"The first fifty or sixty years of my life were failures, even though they earned me the title of 'the greatest white wizard'."

Harry shook his head: "Remember what I said to you?"

“Staying away from politics is the greatest wisdom.”

Having said that, he paused.

"If it wasn't for saving the Godfather, I wouldn't want to have any more conversations with someone like that."

Dumbledore laughed.

He can distinguish truth from lies.

Harry hadn't changed.

"Are you relieved now?" Harry glanced at him unhappily.

Dumbledore was still smiling: "You have to forgive the hesitation of an old man who has done wrong things all his life."

"Professor, I am not as good as you in many aspects." As the boat was about to reach the shore, Harry changed the cat back and put it back into the water. "But I am much better than you in one aspect."

Dumbledore shook his head: "You are better than me in many ways."

"I consider Hogwarts my home." Harry stood up and looked towards the castle. "What about you?"

Dumbledore was about to answer.

"I know what you want to say." Harry said before him, "Professors are your relatives, and students are your children. You know the name of each student and even their ideals."

"But what about Hogwarts?"

"Just Hogwarts?"

"What's that to you?"

Dumbledore was stunned and sat in the boat in a daze.

"Great power is about restraint." Harry looked back at Dumbledore, "Don't let the past hold you back, my dear Professor Albus."

“I’m always moving forward.”

He jumped onto the shore and waved his arms vigorously at Dumbledore: "Good night, Professor, and have a good dream tonight!"

The young figure walked steadily towards the castle.

Dumbledore just sat there, watching, until the figure walked into the castle and Fawkes fell into his arms, rubbing his face affectionately, and then he came to his senses.

"Old friend, I'm glad you're still here." Dumbledore hugged Fawkes, walked down from the boat carefully, and walked back to the castle.

Gryffindor Common Room.

Ron and Hermione were doing their homework. Some little lions from lower and higher grades had not gone to rest yet. These were the children influenced by Harry and his friends.

I'm sorry for not studying hard.

"Harry, you're back just now?" Hermione asked after Harry sat down beside her, "Professor Dumbledore finally decided to give you extra lessons?"

Harry shook his head: "He wasn't in the office today. He was out practicing."

"Go out?" Ron raised his head, a little surprised, and looked at Harry with pity. "Oh, no, then you are really in trouble."

"It was fine during the day, but at night it became a mess with wind, rain and thunder."

"It came quickly and went away quickly. It was really hard."

"Percy went out on a date and got soaked to the skin."

Harry nodded. "That's my lesson for today."

Ron was startled.

Hermione almost didn't react.

"What is Professor Dumbledore teaching you?" Ron stuttered, his words barely fluent.

Manipulating the weather, this...

This is no longer a method used by ordinary wizards, right?

"Is it a weather spell?" Hermione quickly recalled.

Harry nodded.

Hermione pursed her lips: "That's the content of Newts, it's more difficult than the Patronus Charm."

"It's actually simpler than the Patronus Charm." Harry waved his hand. "Once Ron has mastered the Patronus Charm, I can teach you."

Ron lowered his head and shivered.

He had consulted Percy. In last year's Advanced Charms class, the sixth graders had started learning the Patronus Charm. Even an excellent student like Percy, who had all his grades as 'O', had not yet mastered it completely.

How long has Hermione been practicing?

At most it's only been a little over a month.

"Ron, you have to work harder." Hermione said calmly.

Ron nodded, his voice timid: "Yeah, I will."

As he spoke, he suddenly thought of something and held out his hand to Harry: "Harry, Hermione used your wand to successfully perform the spell last time. Can you lend me your wand?"

Harry handed over the wand.

Ron held it in his hand, and a sense of disgust came from the cedar stick. He chanted a spell, but the magic power did not pass through the wand and nothing happened.

Ron wanted to try again.

"It's resisting you." Harry couldn't bear it anymore and reminded him.

Ron was stunned.

"The wand, the wand is resisting you," Harry explained clearly.

Ron reluctantly handed the wand back and looked at Hermione, somewhat puzzled: "Why are you resisting me? Harry, I'm obviously your friend too."

"Hermione can, but I can't?"

Hermione hummed in amusement but said nothing and continued to turn the pages, her ears slightly red.

"It's not a matter of changing the wand." Harry wiped the wand and waved it gently. A glass of milk appeared at his hand. "It's a matter of belief."

Ron's frown deepened.

Beliefs and such are all empty.

The same is true for Percy, he is also stuck at the "belief" level.

"It felt like a natural progression," Hermione reminded him. "It was just a 'pop' sound, and suddenly I knew I had to release the Patronus."

Ron was a little horrified by these words. He shrank his neck and said, "Oh, no, a pop would just make me feel like my head was pulled out."

Hermione rolled her eyes and looked at Harry: "How are you going to spend Christmas this year?"

Professor McGonagall has been collecting expressions of interest from young wizards at this time, and Hermione hasn't had time to fill out the form yet.

"Stay in the castle," Harry said.

"Not going home with Sirius?" Hermione asked.

Harry shook his head: "The two of us, no, the three of us, together, can't even make up a complete family."

Hermione was stunned.

What...are you talking about?

"I have never renovated the old Potter house." Harry continued with a smile, "During the summer vacation, I never thought that my godfather would be so stupid."

"The Godfather doesn't want to go back to the old Black house, and that house hasn't been occupied for more than ten years. I'm afraid it's in a very bad condition now."

"As for Uncle Lupin, you know his situation well. Since the start of school, this has been the most comfortable six months for him since he graduated."

Hermione opened her mouth and tried hard to come up with any words of comfort. They all sounded empty and without any focus. Even if she said them, they wouldn't feel down to earth.

After a good while, she sighed, "Well, I'll stay at Hogwarts this year too."

"Why did you stay?" Ron asked.

Hermione answered casually, "My parents are going to France for Christmas this year. I don't really want to go. I've already been there once during the summer vacation."

His curiosity satisfied, Ron lowered his head again and continued reading.

Christmas finally arrived as the little wizards had been looking forward to.

When Harry woke up, there was another mountain of gifts at the foot of his bed.

He unpacked them one by one.

Professor Dumbledore brought a pair of wool socks. Harry tried them and found them soft and sturdy. He liked them very much and put them on immediately.

Professor Lupin sent a set of notes on Defense Against the Dark Arts, which he had summarized over the years.

As for Sirius...

He is flamboyant.

The package delivered was the largest of all, containing various prank props, potion materials, and other serious stuff, including several old, thick potion and alchemy notebooks.

Another **.

Ron was a little confused: "Harry, what did Hermione give you?"

"A weather bottle, what's wrong?" Harry waved his wand and a gift box flew out. The ribbon was untied, revealing the contents inside.

Ron held up a book: "She gave me a book."

"Maybe she gave you her secret book because she saw how hard you've been studying lately." Harry answered casually.

Ron's tone was complicated: "But the name of this book is "Encyclopedia of Cats", and the pictures on it don't move. It's a book for ordinary people."

Harry was stunned, and said earnestly: "Then it is more important to you."

“You should read this book carefully.”

Ron said "Oh", although he didn't know what the book was for, but since Harry said so, he might as well do as Harry said, it wouldn't be wrong.

Wait until they have opened all their presents.

He went to the hall with Hermione who was waiting in the lounge.

Sirius, Lupin and the others were already sitting at the table, happily discussing something.

"Good morning, Harry!" Sirius greeted them cheerfully and went to Diagon Alley. His whole appearance had changed drastically.

His hair was neatly combed, his pitch-black teeth became as white as new, and he was dressed in a shiny robe.

It seems that the only thing that can prove his years of escape is his thin figure.

"It's noon, Godfather," Harry responded.

"Do you like my gift?" Sirius winked at him, "I picked it carefully."

"Those are great books," Harry answered without hesitation.

Sirius shook his head and waved his hands: "I'm not talking about those books, I mean those little props."

Harry considered it, glanced at the Weasley brothers, and said expressionlessly: "I will let them fulfill their mission and get a good home."

Sirius didn't hear any other meaning at all, nodded and laughed: "That's right!"

"Harry, little wizards should be more lively."

Snape sneered, "Yes, he is lively, but he is not causing trouble."

Sirius stood up quickly and looked at Snape fiercely: "Snotlout, are you trying to make trouble?"

"I am only correcting what your empty brain says." Snape narrowed his eyes, his gaze sharp, "Mr. Potter has finally behaved himself, and he cannot be led astray by you."

Sirius slammed the table and said, "He was led astray by you!"

"Look at the way he speaks now!"
