Chapter 222 Evil

Wait for Harry and the others to return to the Great Hall.

Filch stood at the door with a mop in one hand, looking inside with gritted teeth.

The little wizards were in a mess.

Krum and Fleur reluctantly sat in the corner of the Gryffindor and Slytherin table, and they were the only students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons who came.

As warriors, as contestants, they can't escape.

They sat awkwardly.

But no one paid any attention to them.

The little wizards scattered fireworks, threw cakes, and sprayed champagne.

There was only one Ms. Maxime in the teacher's seat. She was drinking alone and didn't care at all about what the little wizards did.

Without the professors, the young wizards became lawless under the leadership of the Gryffindors, especially George and Fred.

Filch's "jealous" gaze was not directed at these little wizards.

He was looking at a lady at the Gryffindor table—Petunia Dursley, a Muggle who, like himself, had no magical abilities!

Mrs. Norris, his dearest Mrs. Norris.

Mrs. Norris, who had fought alongside him and was strict and majestic towards everyone except Harry Potter, was at this moment like an ordinary clingy kitten, rubbing against Petunia's feet, purring from her throat, and making a few delicate meows from time to time.

Penny looked at the little animals in front of her in a panic.

Hedwig stood on her legs and called out in a high-pitched voice, "Coo-coo-coo, cho-coo-coo!"

Crookshanks, Bowes, Mrs. Norris, some other cats, owls, and even Fawkes, who curled up on Petunia's lap, being very affectionate. The other small animals lined up, standing or sitting, listening quietly to Hedwig's lecture.

Hedwig's voice is beautiful.

But Penny didn't understand. Until Hedwig finished shouting, she looked at Ron with a stiff face: "What did Hedwig say just now?"

She had a bad feeling.

Originally, Hedwig had to cook a large pot of owl food every week. Sometimes the amount was so much that she alone couldn't carry it, and she had to call her friends to help.

That is very tedious work.

If Hedwig hadn't sometimes brought back some gifts - not the kind of "gifts" that normal pets would catch, such as mice and snakes.

Sometimes it would be some gold jewelry, sometimes some gems, or even a stack of pounds.

Petunia wrote to Harry to ask.

Don't tell me Hedwig is doing something illegal out there.

Harry also wrote back to her, telling her to accept it with peace of mind.

The gold and gems were obtained by Hedwig and her friends after they dismantled the Nifflers' nests, took out the contents of their pockets, and asked Mrs. Norris's master Filch to post "Lost and Property Notices" in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade.

Hedwig felt at ease taking things that had not been claimed for more than three months and gave them to Petunia in exchange for owl rations.

As for the British pound...

That was an unexpected surprise Hedwig found while delivering the letter.

If the quantity was too large, she would throw it to Scotland Yard. If the quantity was small, she would take it and give it to Penny when she had enough.

Penny earns more than 3,000 pounds extra every month, almost one-third of her husband's.

As a housewife, she can earn a salary every month that is equivalent to that of working women. She is very satisfied with this. At least she can buy herself a few more cosmetics and some small gifts for Dali.

But the work is too tiring.

There are enough of those of Hedwig, don't come again!

Ron hesitated: "Hedwig should be introducing you."

Penny was more hesitant than him: "But she just said so much."

Ron blinked innocently: "I don't understand owl language, maybe Harry..."

"Ron is right." Neville leaned forward and said timidly, "In the first part, Hedwig was indeed introducing you."

"The latter part is to let them remember what you and your family look like, so that if you run into any trouble in the future, they will definitely help you."

"You can also write down the appearance of these owls. If you want to send a letter by owl, you can find them."

Boss and the others grumbled and nodded.

"Neville, you can speak owl!" Ron stared at him in disbelief.

Neville scratched his head, "Professor Sprout said I was very talented in this area. She taught me and I know a little bit."

"You're amazing!" Ron lifted Crookshanks up high. "Do you understand cat language? Can you help me see what Crookshanks would say?"

Crookshanks whined.

Neville looked embarrassed.

"Ah, haven't you learned it yet?" Ron put Crookshanks down and suppressed his excitement. "It's okay, it's okay."

Neville shook his head, "No, Professor Sprout taught me."

"It's just... just..."

Ron looked confused: "Huh?"

"It's scolding you." Neville lowered his voice and spoke carefully.

Ron was startled and looked at Crookshanks in disbelief.

The ginger kitten meowed miserably again.

Neville added: "It's scolding you again."

Ron reached out and pinched its face: "I serve you every day, and you treat me like this!"

Crookshanks pried his hand away with one claw and made two hissing sounds.

"It's still scolding you." Neville was very calm and translated it again.

The man and the cat played together, and Neville was responsible for the explanation.

Dudley tried to join in, but when he saw Crookshanks smash the cup on the table with his tail, he immediately gave up the idea. Could a wizard's pet be so dangerous?

What normal cat can break a cup with its tail?

Magic school is too dangerous!

Harry took Hermione back to the table and sat down.

Petunia immediately leaned over: "Harry, are you okay?"

Fenon also turned his head to look over, but his expression couldn't help but twisted into one of disgust, with only a hint of concern in his eyes.

"It's okay." Harry shook his head.

"What key?" Penny continued to ask, "What's going on?"

Ron and Crookshanks stopped fighting and poked their heads over.

The little wizards around also pricked up their ears.

Harry shook his head, "It was just a small matter, it's been resolved."

Penny looked at the others and nodded, planning to ask again in the evening.

George and Fred came hurriedly over, holding boxes. "Harry, have you seen Mr. Bagman?"

"Him? I didn't." Harry shook his head.

"He's not with you?" George emphasized.

Harry shook his head again: "Why, do you have something to do with him?"

"It's over, that thing must have run away!" Fred took off the box and put it on the table beside him. "I should have blocked him earlier."

"Didn't he return the money for the Quidditch World Cup to you?" Harry took a glass of pumpkin juice for himself.

George shook his head: "The money has been returned to us, but we haven't been paid for the fireworks yet."

Fred sighed and explained, "We have been promoting our fireworks, haven't we? Before the third round, Bagman came to us and said that the Ministry of Magic wanted to order a batch of fireworks from us."

"This is good news, great news." George gestured with his hand.

Fred went on, "He ordered three hundred Galleons worth of goods from us, but he didn't pay. He said he was waiting for the Ministry to settle the bill, but the third round of matches was imminent and he needed them urgently."

Vernon sneered.

He had seen this kind of trick too many times, it was a low-level scam.

George sighed, "We gave him the fireworks. Until just now, we couldn't find Mr. Bagman and thought he was with you. We ran into the official from the Sports and Physical Education Department and asked him casually."

"Do you know what he said?"

Fred raised his hands and rubbed his face. "That's terrible. He said the Ministry of Magic has never ordered fireworks from us."

"And they're looking for Bagman, too."

"They found that the bill to Romania was wrong. There was an unknown amount of more than 200 galleons."

Harry looked at them in surprise.

Ludo is really bold.

The money of three parties was taken.

"Harry, try that." George raised his hand and pushed him gently.

Harry nodded, sat down at the table, took out the Marauder's Map from the Sorting Hat, and placed it on his knees. It was hidden by the long table, so no one could see it except the few people closest to it.

With a flick of the wand, the map appears.

Harry glanced around and pointed his wand at a place: "Ludo hasn't left Hogwarts yet. He's on his way to Hogsmeade."

"Haven't left Hogwarts yet?" George raised his voice, somewhat surprised.

"Yes, the main road to Hogsmeade." Harry nodded and put his wand away.

George and Fred immediately took the Marauder's Map and began calling their friends.

Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and a few little badgers, they all wanted to ask Ludo for money.

Until the end of the dinner.

George, Fred and their group returned in defeat.

"Have you found Ludo?" Ron asked with concern, as this concerned his pocket money for the next period of time.

George was frustrated: "Found it."

Found it is not a good thing, why are you still so...

Ron was puzzled.

Fred sighed: "You could say we didn't find it."

Not only Ron was confused, but even Hermione was a little bewildered.

"We saw him at the Three Broomsticks," George sighed and explained, "but Bagman reacted violently. The moment he saw us, he Apparated away."

"We're not old enough to learn Apparition yet."

“Even if he learns it, I don’t know where he will go.”

"More than three hundred Galleons..."

Vernon interrupted in a serious tone, "I don't quite understand what your Galleon is, but it sounds like Bagman used the name of your wizard government to do business with you?"

George and Fred nodded.

"Do you have any evidence?" Vernon spread his hands. "I mean recordings, or contracts or something like that."

George and Fred looked puzzled.

Harry answered for them, "Yes."

The two brothers were stunned.

Any evidence?

I don't even know I have evidence...

"Memory." Harry put his wand to George's temple. "If necessary, I can extract your memory at any time."

Fenon shuddered. This method sounded so evil.
