Chapter 289 Cedric

Wait for Umbridge to arrive.

The only ones left in the auditorium were some young wizards who had no classes in the morning, still eating slowly. All of them were under fifteen years old, looking at the teacher's seats curiously and discussing in whispers.

George and Fred had left long ago, but they placed a crystal ball on the Gryffindor table and told the elves not to take it away.

They also have Transfiguration classes.

There is no way to escape Professor McGonagall's class.

Umbridge came over triumphantly.

Every student who met her on the road had an expression as if they had met a Dementor, and greeted her reluctantly but politely.

Anyone who doesn't say hello.

She would cough loudly several times with her throat clamped, call the man back, and ask him why he didn't say hello to the professor?

But as soon as she entered the auditorium, she stopped.

The banner hanging behind the teacher's seat was too eye-catching.

Exquisite red silk runs across the entire auditorium, from left to right, with exquisite cartoon pictures on it, showing a pink toad chasing a strange creature with a pig's head and a human body. The creature is running away violently, with an exaggerated expression of worry and fear on its face, and a very conspicuous name in gold stamping.

"Congratulations on the twenty-first anniversary of Ms. Dolores Umbridge's courtship of Mr. Cornelius Fudge!"

This immediately shattered her smug look.

I watched in disbelief, holding my breath subconsciously.

"Who is it!" Her body was shaking, and her voice was trembling, "Who is playing a prank on the professor?"

"Professor, it's George and Fred from Gryffindor." A Slytherin immediately responded to her.

Umbridge glared at them and scolded them harshly: "Why don't you stop them."

The Slytherin blinked innocently.

He was only slightly taller than Umbridge, only 5.2 inches, and was a little brat from the lower grade. Even the senior students in Slytherin were no match for the Weasley brothers, let alone a little kid like him?

Umbridge obviously realized the problem after she cursed. She took a deep breath and clapped her hands lightly: "Then help quickly and tear down this prank on the professor!"

"All of you, come here."

She stretched out her hand skillfully and pointed at a few names, all of whom were Slytherin students. As an older senior, only Slytherin students would listen to her.

They are both young and about the same height as her.

George and Fred had hung the banner very high up, so high that Umbridge couldn't reach it even on her stool.

It's useless even if you encounter it.

What George and Fred had glued on with special glue was a new prank prop of theirs, and it could only be removed with their special antidote.

Umbridge tried many spells, including the Vanishing Charm, the Levitation Charm, even the Shattering Charm and the Flaming Charm, but none of them worked.

When she was in school, she was quite good, but still inferior to George and Fred. Not to mention that after she joined the Ministry of Magic, her mind was full of thoughts about how to climb up. Her spell connections became less and less common, and only the Levitation Charm was handy.

She struggled for several hours, but she was unable to take down the banner until the students were about to arrive for lunch.

They could only hastily pull away the tablecloth from the teachers' seats to cover the banner.

Umbridge gritted her teeth and looked towards the Gryffindor table.

There were already quite a few little wizards coming and going, but the people she wanted to see the most, George and Fred, were not there.

"Very good, Gryffindor is going too far." Umbridge took a deep breath, walked to Dean Lion's desk with stiff steps, glared at him, and said viciously, "Gryffindor will be deducted 100 points for playing a prank on the professor!"

"Then, tell the two Mr. Weasleys to be confined to my office starting tonight! For a whole month."

The little lions responded slowly.

"And why is this news arranged like this!" Umbridge gritted her teeth even more.

The Slytherin following behind her poked his head out: "Because it said so in The Quibbler."

"Singing the devil's advocate? That's what you're saying?" Umbridge tilted her head back and turned it so quickly that her body didn't have time to catch up. There was a very crisp sound, "What's going on?"

The Slytherin whispered back, "There was a piece of gossip about you in the Quibbler."

"Gossip?" She glared.

The little wizard was frightened. With that look and that big mouth, he thought he was going to be swallowed. "Yes."

"Where's the magazine?" Umbridge held out her short, plump hand.

The young wizard shook his head: "I don't have one."

Umbridge immediately turned to look at the little wizard from Gryffindor and held out her hand as well: "Where's the magazine?"

"Neither do we." The little Gryffindor wizards immediately shook their heads with a firm attitude.

Umbridge took out her wand and waved it gently: "Fly around!"

There was no movement in the backpacks of the little wizards.

Really not!

Before leaving, George and Fred carefully reminded these little wizards to take away their magazines and told them to inform their friends not to bring the Quibbler with them.

Umbridge looked at the other Gryffindors.

Wave the wand.

Flying around!

The other little lions also did not slack off from reading this magazine, they were like real good kids.

It wasn't until several rounds of people that she found the Quibbler with a giant picture of her on it on a Hufflepuff.

Open it and take a look.

Her heart suddenly sank.

Finished!

She thought that she was just pursuing Fudge, and the worst that could happen was that the news of pursuing a Ministry official would leak out. She didn't really care about it. It was something everyone in the Ministry knew, and she didn't feel shy. How could a woman like her feel shy?

But this is not just the "romantic" gossip that he thought it was.

And her past.

The identity of a half-blood wizard and his extremely despicable father...

All exposed!

All the secrets that you have hidden the deepest and to the extreme have been exposed!

"How can there be such a despicable report! Slander! Rumor!" Umbridge threw the Quibbler to the ground and kicked him a few times, glaring at the Hufflepuff as she kicked him. "You don't study hard, but just read this kind of crooked stuff all day long. What's the point of that!"

"Can it improve your academic performance?"

“These are untrue and meaningless things!”

She became angrier and angrier as she spoke.

He waved his wand and pointed it at the magazine.

Tear into pieces!

Hufflepuff looked at the magazine with grievance - his own eight Knuts!

The magazine broke into pieces, turning into scraps of paper all over the ground, which were blown away.

This is not enough to relieve my anger.

Umbridge waved her wand.

The flames are blazing!

The whirlwind swept away!

I didn't even want to leave my entire body for the magazine.

"As for you, come to my place for detention tonight and stay there for a month!" Umbridge gritted her teeth, "You rude, persuasive little wizard!"

Hufflepuff had tears in her eyes.

Umbridge took a deep breath, and without even bothering to eat, she walked out of the hall. She couldn't stay any longer, or she would run into Harry.

That evening.

A new notice was posted on the notice board at the front of the hall.

"Educational Order No. 25: No one is allowed to possess The Quibbler."

George and Fred were carried by Professor McGonagall and the banner was torn down. Umbridge had complained to her several times today and she couldn't pretend not to see it.

Hermione listened to the discussion next to her and sneered, "She's anxious."

"Ha, I was just chatting with a Ravenclaw in Care of Magical Creatures." Ron grabbed a piece of lamb chop and continued while chewing it. "At noon today, Umbridge went to the Hufflepuff common room to collect more than 30 copies of The Quibbler."

Hufflepuff whined.

Harry nodded: "It seems that we have to visit Professor Umbridge when we go back later."

Ron was startled and distracted for a moment. Crookshanks snatched the lamb chop from his mouth. He had no time to take it back, and it was impossible for him to take it back. He asked in surprise, "Why?"

"I didn't recognize her as a professor at Hogwarts, so she has no right to confiscate students' belongings." Harry shook his head. "Of course, I want her to return it to the students."

Ron thought thoughtfully: "Then why not just drive her away?"

"Why?" Harry asked him back.

Ron was startled again: "Don't you think she is the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor?"

"I haven't had enough fun yet." Harry shook his head. "Before, I was holding back my temper for Dumbledore's sake. I feel very uncomfortable after holding it back for so long. Of course, I have to take revenge."

"and……"

"The Ministry of Magic cannot be trusted."

"They still take the Ministry of Magic too seriously."

Wolves are very vengeful creatures.

The same is true for lions and griffins.

They discussed in low voices.

Cedric came over, looking a little embarrassed: "Harry."

"Are you having trouble raising money?" Harry waved his hand. "It's okay. We can write an IOU first and then charge the interest normally..."

Cedric shook his head: "No, it's about playing the devil's advocate. Professor Umbridge at noon today..."

Harry nodded and interrupted him: "I heard about this."

Cedric paused, then continued, "Several young wizards have been punished by Professor Umbridge with detention. I wanted to ask if you could help them?"

"Let me tell Umbridge not to punish them with detention?" Harry raised an eyebrow.

Cedric nodded. "Just because of a magazine, I have to be punished with a month of confinement. This is really... too much."

"Of course, you can." Harry nodded, "Even if you didn't come to me, I would do almost the same thing."

"In the evening? When? I'll go with you." Cedric took a deep breath and clenched his fists.

Harry looked at him deeply: "Since you came to me, it proves that you know what I am going to do."

"Although it was the Ministry of Magic, and it was also to fight against the Death Eaters, what they did to Hogwarts was wrong." Cedric's tone was not calm, "It shouldn't be like this. It's too much to punish them with a month's detention just because of a magazine."

"This is not just your business, Harry."

"I'm the head boy student council president."
