Chapter 293 Expulsion

The school emblem is pale and somewhat desolate.

Harry stood in front of Umbridge, almost half a body taller than the pink toad.

The wand was raised high, and the golden thread was connected to the school emblem.

"As the Heir of Gryffindor, I now ask the four houses if they are willing to respond to my request and expel Madam Dolores Jane Umbridge from Hogwarts and never open the castle gates to her again."

He spoke softly.

The voice was not loud, but firm.

"Yes!" Ron shouted loudly and was the first to respond.

Hermione glared at him unhappily and reminded him quietly, "Wand, school badge!"

Ron reacted, raised his wand, and said seriously: "I, Ron Weasley, respond to Harry Potter's request as the Gryffindor prefect."

His wand, and the prefect badge on his chest, were buzzing.

A beam of light interwoven with gold and red shot out.

It hit the school emblem, and the quarter representing Gryffindor was immediately filled with color. The lion came to life, leaping high, waving its claws, and roared fiercely at Umbridge.

Umbridge turned pale.

Goldstein raised his wand, his expression cold and his voice solemn: "I, Anthony Goldstein, respond to Harry Potter's request as the prefect of Ravenclaw."

His wand, his prefect badge, hummed, too, emitting a blue and bronze light that linked with the school badge.

The eagle was circling and crying.

Cedric did the same, and he swore solemnly: "I, Cedric Diggory, of Hufflepuff House -"

He got stuck here and then remembered that he was no longer a class leader.

He turned to look at their new class leader.

The new prefect shook his head: "Cedric, only you can represent Hufflepuff."

The other badgers echoed.

"Yes, that's right!"

“We agree with you!”

"You can totally represent us."

Cedric took a deep breath and continued, "I, Cedric Diggory, respond to Harry Potter's request in the name of Hufflepuff."

His wand emitted the same golden light as Harry's.

The badge on the new prefect's chest vibrated, with a yellow line on a black background surging and connecting with the school emblem, adding a touch of color. The badger crawled, took a few steps, and stood up straight. He didn't shout, but was calm and indifferent, staring at Umbridge with his black gemstone eyes, clasping his paws.

Umbridge could hardly breathe.

The school emblem is three-quarters filled, with only the last color left.

Almost everyone's eyes fell on Draco.

Draco held his wand and said, "Potter, I have to remind you that this does not mean that I am willing to stand on your side. It's just that I don't need a useless professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, and she will make Hogwarts a mess, which is not conducive to my growth."

He paused, then slowly raised his wand.

The weak movement made Umbridge feel heartbroken.

Draco continued quietly: "I, Draco Malfoy, in the name of Slytherin, respond to Harry Potter's request."

Green and silver, intersecting rays of light, poured out from his wand and badge.

It slowly fell into the school emblem and then slowly filled it up.

The badge was empty. Suddenly, a triangular snake head popped out, with a forked snake tongue moving in and out, vicious and cruel.

The four colors awaken the gray and white school emblem, which is hung in the center of the hall, complementing the school emblem behind the teachers' seats.

The golden thread connecting Harry's wand to the school badge vibrated.

The owner of Hogwarts has never been the headmaster, nor a professor, nor the descendant of one of the four giants. The owners of Hogwarts have always been batches of students who graduate, new ones arrive, and grow from little kids to adult wizards.

Far away in Godric's Hollow.

The Gryffindor portrait suddenly flew up and looked into the distance - that was the direction of Hogwarts.

"What's wrong?" Dumbledore also sensed something and looked with him.

"Helga would be very pleased if she knew." Godric hummed a little tune and fell back on Dumbledore's shoulder, "Let them enjoy their time."

"Let me check out Harry's house."

"Damn it, we are so close, but he never invited me."

Dumbledore shook his head and led him away, in the opposite direction of Hogwarts.

Hogwarts, Great Hall.

The Sorting Hat on Harry's waist slowly woke up, grinned, and began to sing.

"Long ago I was a new hat,

Hogwarts wasn't built yet.

The four founders of the Noble Academy,

Thought they would never go their separate ways.

Though I have doomed you to be divided,

But I'm worried that this isn't the right thing to do.

We must be closely united internally.

Otherwise everything will fall apart from within.”

This was the song it sang at the beginning of this year's school year, remembering the past and warning the present. Now it was humming it again, echoing the huge and powerful magical fluctuations on Harry's wand.

Umbridge suddenly felt her belly button being tickled, and a huge tearing force came from there.

The air condensed and squeezed her.

With a loud squeak——

Her clothes and skin were torn, and a thick piece of her skin was torn off and fell to the ground with a crisp sound, like the sound of an apparition. Umbridge disappeared, leaving only a piece of her flesh, tattered cloth, and a wand that was almost broken into two pieces in the squeeze.

A low-level wizard would be even worse off than an ordinary person if he lost his wand.

At least ordinary people can still use their hands and feet.

Wizards only have wands, and they only use wands.

Scrimgeour held his breath, staring at the house-elf who appeared and calmly cleaned the flesh and the floor, and asked carefully: "Where did she go?"

"She's not welcome at Hogwarts, not for a second." Harry shook his head. "She'll leave now, but where will she appear?"

"I have no idea."

"But it certainly won't happen around people who graduated from Hogwarts."

Scrimgeour lowered his voice: "I know you must know. Tell me and I won't let the Ministry of Magic rescue her."

Harry smiled but said nothing.

He took back his wand, and the badge still hung in the center of the hall.

The Sorting Hat muttered, "It's rare to see four houses united like this. Albus, you should be the headmaster."

"This is their choice and has nothing to do with anyone else." Harry shook his head.

He waved his hand at Neville. "Go on with the class. I'm going to talk to Mr. Scrimgeour."

Neville nodded. He glanced at the school badge and an inexplicable courage gathered up in his heart. He spoke fluently and fluently.

Harry and Scrimgeour walked out of the Great Hall through a side door and, after closing the door, stood in the courtyard.

"Harry, the Ministry of Magic is in a very bad situation right now." Scrimgeour frowned. "I suspect that Thicknesse has either been replaced or has become a Death Eater."

Harry looked at him, a little surprised: "Why do you think so?"

"To be honest, I was jealous at first." Scrimgeour took a deep breath. "I should be the one who is qualified and capable of becoming the Minister of Magic. Why is it him? I have to admit that Thicknesse is praised more than criticized by the outside world now. I also have to admit that he does look decent."

"But before this, who knew he had this ability? Apart from his age and hairline, what else is better than mine?"

Harry nodded and listened quietly.

Scrimgeour vented his anger and calmed down. "After the vote, I began to doubt whether he was still Thicknesse. Of course, I was jealous and felt very unfair at the time."

"But I'm definitely not now!" He stressed it quickly, pressing his hands hard, repeatedly emphasizing, "I'm very objective now, and I found a clue!"

"The first day of the new year," Scrimgeour explained. "The Ministry of Magic has resumed work. We are holding our regular meeting this morning, following the usual lengthy process."

"But at noon, he suddenly threw out the Education Order and abandoned the agenda for discussion, appointing Umbridge as the Inquisitor. This appointment was well received by the Ministry of Magic. After all... Dumbledore is really too powerful, and we are all afraid of him."

Harry sneered: "So the way you fear him is to find a way to take away everything from him?"

Scrimgeour didn't know what to say.

Harry waved his hand: "Go on."

"For that reason, the proposal was passed at once. Thicknesse told me that the Aurors should go along, since it is an order after all." Scrimgeour spread his hands and sat down by the fountain. "It seems a little abnormal now, but it is normal in the Ministry of Magic. Every minister abuses his power."

"It was only when we were at Hogwarts and inside the castle that he told me to capture Sirius."

At this point, Scrimgeour rubbed his hair in pain. "At the time, I thought I had heard it wrong."

"I am very reluctant to do it. After all, it will offend you."

"Would anyone be willing to offend a bold and unscrupulous Dumbledore? Or to put it bluntly, would anyone be willing to offend You-Know-Who?"

“That’s how I felt.”

Harry said, "I'm not afraid of offending Dumbledore or You-Know-Who. I've beaten both of them."

"I mean ordinary people." Scrimgeour was a little embarrassed, but his tone was relaxed. "But I went anyway. I am not only a person, but also an Auror."

"Thickness's behavior is too suspicious. Although he said it was for Hogwarts and for the wizards, I can see it."

He raised his hand and pointed his index and middle fingers at his eyes.

"I'm a very good Auror, and I'm very perceptive. I can see that Thicknesse's target might be you, Hogwarts, Dumbledore, or Sirius, but it doesn't seem like he's targeting the Death Eaters."

"So I choose to be a fool, a dumbass, someone who only knows how to obey authority."

"I know I can't take Sirius away from you, and Thicknesse never expected that it would be your class at that time."

"I'll just act tougher. It's not easy to be tough in front of you. I'm ready to lose my arms and legs."

“But it’s worth the risk.”

He became proud: "I still have my hands and feet, and Thicknesse is beginning to trust me."
