"Why did you cast a spell outside the school?" Peasgood asked, his voice as tired as his face, "and made such a big noise."
He looked toward the alley.
Dozens of trash cans, large and small, were upside down, and the contents were scattered all over the floor.
"Gryffindor?" he added.
Harry nodded, "Yes, I am from Gryffindor, but I didn't cast the spell, a house elf did."
"House elves?" Peasegood said calmly, "Don't lie. As far as I know, they are very well-behaved creatures. They won't play pranks."
Harry pulled out his wand. "Perhaps you could use a flashback spell."
Peasegood shook his head, waved his wand, and chanted a Muggle-repelling spell: "No, that's troublesome. Before I deal with the scene, you have to tell me if any Muggles saw it?"
"Tell the truth, little wizard."
Harry shook his head. "No."
"Really?" He didn't quite believe it.
Harry nodded, somewhat helplessly: "Really not."
"That's good." Peasgood muttered, "Don't lie to me. If a Muggle sees it and doesn't clear the memory in time, it will be very troublesome."
"I've been working overtime for three weeks straight. Please don't make me work overtime for a month."
Harry asked, "Can I ask you a favor?"
Peasgood waved his wand weakly, "Send you home? You can..."
"Send a letter for me to Professor Flitwick at Hogwarts," Harry interrupted, speaking succinctly, "saying that Harry Potter is waiting for him at the Leaky Cauldron."
"Why don't you..." He complained and asked back, then froze in the middle of his sentence. He looked at Harry in astonishment, "Harry Potter?"
"Is it the Harry Potter who survived?"
Harry nodded.
"You are it?" He was surprised and doubtful, his tone became excited, and he waved his other hand and touched his forehead.
"I think that by asking you to send a letter to Professor Flitwick, I have proven my identity." Harry didn't want to raise his hand and put the knife back on his waist.
"So it really wasn't you who did it, it was really a house-elf?" Peasgood now began to believe what Harry said.
"Please post the letter quickly," Harry urged.
Peasegood waved his wand quickly. He used the cleaning spell and the levitation spell very well, even to the point of using no spells at all. In less than ten minutes, he had cleaned the alley spotlessly - perhaps it had never been so clean since its creation.
After they finished cleaning up, they went to the Leaky Cauldron together.
Borrow an owl and send a letter to Flitwick.
Less than an hour.
The fire in the bar's fireplace flickered green, and Flitwick walked out anxiously.
"Harry?" He spotted the bar, Harry, who was drinking whiskey, and walked over quickly. "What happened? You have to ask someone else to contact me."
Peasgood stood up drunkenly and burped, "My dear Professor Flitwick, long time no see."
"Yes, you already have it when you graduate..." Flitwick responded to him.
Peasegood burped for a long time. "You are still so short. I thought you would grow a little taller after so many years."
Harry's eyelids twitched.
Flitwick gritted his teeth and waved his wand: "Lock the tongue and throat!"
Peasegood continued to speak with his mouth open, but no words came out.
"Good, a drunkard should keep quiet." Flitwick climbed onto the chair next to Harry. "Now let's talk. Why did you let someone send me a letter?"
"I'm being targeted by a house-elf," Harry said in a low voice.
Flitwick's mouth opened in surprise.
"The Malfoys," Harry continued.
Flitwick frowned. "Although... they are not a good family, they would not do such a stupid thing."
"Yes, it was the house-elf who acted stupidly on his own initiative." Harry nodded.
Flitwick was even more surprised: "Without the master's order, they will not take the initiative to do anything."
Harry took a sip of his wine. "I don't know what happened, but it intercepted my letter and threatened me not to return to Hogwarts next semester."
"And they said...the Malfoy family is planning a conspiracy that could affect the entire Hogwarts."
Flitwick frowned and said, "I'll tell Dumbledore about this."
"No hurry." Harry shook his head and took his hand. "Please help me, Professor, catch that house-elf."
"I've been pissed off enough."
"It has a very strange magic that can make it disappear instantly..."
Flitwick explained: "That is Apparition, a very dangerous, but also very convenient spell that can only be learned by those who are seventeen years old or older."
"House elves are masters of Apparition. They are very good at this kind of spell."
Harry frowned: "Is there any way to catch it?"
"Of course, there is a counter-spell for any spell." Flitwick nodded, "But I have to remind you that ordinary Apparition counter-spells are useless against them."
"Ever since they were enslaved, wizards no longer see these pathetic, miserable creatures as a threat."
"I just changed the spell a little bit so that they won't be affected by the counter-spell, and thus can enjoy better service from them."
"If you want to learn, I can teach you in the back."
"Then let's do it tonight." Harry drank the wine in one gulp, "But Professor, I'm afraid you have to hide. Do you need me to lend you your invisibility cloak?"
"The one from the Potters?" Flitwick raised an eyebrow. "No need. I can use the Disillusionment Charm very well."
That evening.
On Privet Drive, Harry released Hedwig.
Ten minutes passed and the little girl didn't come back.
Apparently Dobby didn't make the interception.
Yes... gave up?
Because he received a warning from the Ministry of Magic, he thought he was fired?
This can't go on like this.
I don't know if calling its name will help...
"Dobby!" Harry took a deep breath and called out, "I know you can hear that the Ministry only gave me a warning, not expelled me."
No response.
Harry didn't give up and continued to shout: "Dobby, come out!"
"As long as you come out, I promise you not to go to Hogwarts."
Still no response.
Harry felt like a fool. Maybe... he should try another approach and send a letter directly to the Malfoys?
Just at this moment.
With a snap——
Dobby appeared in front of Harry and looked at him with surprise: "Harry Potter finally figured it out? Dobby is doing this for Harry Potter's own good..."
It didn't finish its words.
Flitwick leapt out from the side, waving his wand.
Lock the shadow and shape!
The magic power surged and spread in all directions, and a gelatinous feeling of stagnation surged in the space.
Dobby snapped his fingers.
But its magic failed and it failed to Apparate away, which made it look terrified and scream, "Harry Potter deceived Dobby!"
Both of them had blank expressions on their faces.
Flitwick waved his wand and summoned ropes to tie Dobby up tightly. He then cast a spell to block the magic power in his body.
"I'd love to chop its head off," Harry spat.
Flitwick made no comment.
"But obviously, handing it over to Dumbledore is the best option." Harry looked at Dobby with deep eyes, "He should be able to pry a lot of things out of this house-elf's mouth."
The Great Crisis at Hogwarts.
Most of the time, it's directed at me.
It’s not too late to solve the problem once it’s raised.
"The contract with the house elves is a bit troublesome." Flitwick scratched his head, "But Dumbledore is an excellent mind reader. If all else fails, there is Snape's truth serum."
He paused and said, "Aren't you going to vent your anger?"
Harry shook his head: "I'm afraid if I hit it, I won't be able to help but beat it to death."
"Well, I'll take it to Dumbledore." Flitwick waved his wand, and the stagnant feeling in the space gradually faded away. "See you in half a month, Harry."
With a snap——
He Apparated away with Dobby.
Harry smacked his lips, what a handy ability, he wondered how it compared to the warlock's teleportation, he really hoped it wouldn't cause that nauseating dizziness.
Wait until he returns to the bedroom.
Hedwig finally came back with a reply letter - from Hermione.
"Harry? Thank God, you finally replied to my letter, but why did you only send a blank piece of paper? What did I do wrong to make you angry?"
The reply was quick.
It was already this late, he turned to look at the alarm clock, it was almost two in the morning.
"I'm sorry, there was a small incident during this period. It has just been resolved. I encountered a creature called a house-elf..." Harry wrote in his reply.
Hedwig made eight trips back and forth that night.
It didn't rest until the first ray of sunlight shone through the window. It pecked Harry a few times in dissatisfaction and flew into Petunia's bedroom with its wings flapping.
It had worked hard all night and didn't want to eat those dry owl food.
It likes Penny's cooking more.
Amid the chattering, Penny got up, unable to bear the annoyance - it was summer vacation, but she still had to serve a grown lady.
Lily's owl isn't that annoying!
Without the harassment from the house-elves, half a month passed and things finally returned to normal.
On the morning of the first day of the third week of July.
Flitwick showed up at Harry's door on time.
"Harry, I'm here to pick you up." Flitwick looked at Dudley who opened the door for him, walked around him and went into the house.
Vernon rolled his eyes: "Thank God, the freak is finally leaving our house."
Harry packed his luggage and followed Professor Flitwick out. "Professor, have you found out about Dobby?"
"Of course." Flitwick nodded. "Professor Dumbledore is very good at reading minds."
"Old Malfoy wants to sneak a dark magic item left behind by a You-Know-Who into the school. It might cause a big mess."
"But don't worry, the professors will check at the station and all the dark magic props will be thrown out. Those Slytherins, and you Gryffindors, should concentrate on your work."
Harry looked at Flitwick: "Professor, I've actually been wanting to ask this for a long time."
"You should be much braver than your size, why are you also called Voldemort You-Know-Who?"
