The word "almost" was heard along with the sound of unscrewing the cork.
Harry frowned. "Almost a month?"
"Has it been more than a month, or less than a month?"
The Baron poured himself a glass. "Does it matter?"
"This is important." Harry nodded.
This is related to where I should go to continue looking for Ciri.
According to Dandelion and Zoltan, Ciri stayed in Novigrad for at least a month.
If it took more than a month, he would have to find a way to cross the sea with Hermione and go to the Skellige Islands.
"Let me think about it." The baron took a sip of his wine. "It's not even been a month."
Harry nodded.
The baron continued: "Hey, witcher, sit down, I will tell you about Ciri."
"No, I know where she went." Harry shook his head.
The baron put down the cup. "Well, then, you should tell me where Anna and Tamara are?"
"Your daughter Tamara, she's in the Bullfight now." Harry said softly, "hanging out with the people of the Eternal Flame."
The Baron breathed a sigh of relief.
The Eternal Fire was not a good thing, but at least... they were the most powerful sect. Being with that group of people, both life and safety would be guaranteed on a basic level. At least, they would not be living in dew, sleeping in the wild, and facing the threat of monsters as he had worried about.
"Where is Anna?" the Baron asked.
Harry shook his head: "All I can say is that she is safe for now."
"Demon Hunter." The Baron's eyes became dangerous, and he pressed his hands on the table. "Are you kidding me?"
Harry waved his hand: "I know what you want to do."
"But it's no use. You can't save your wife now."
The baron pressed his elbow down: "I am a baron and I have my own army."
"Your name is enough to scare ordinary people." Harry looked at him and said seriously, "but it is not enough to save your wife."
The baron poured himself another glass of wine: "What about you, witcher?"
"You can definitely rescue my wife, right? No matter what reward you ask for, I can give it to you, even the rule of Velen..."
"You've probably heard that witchers stay out of politics," Harry interrupted. "Of course I can, but not right now."
"Ciri's matter is more important."
"When Ciri's matter is over, I will come back to accept your commission."
The baron frowned: "It's just to rescue my wife, maybe just one or two days..."
Harry still shook his head: "Not even a day can be wasted."
The Baron stared at the cup with an unclear expression. The dimness in the room made him look even more gloomy.
"Bonus message, exchange for a pass to Novigrad." Harry said.
The Baron raised his head: "Go ahead."
"Your wife's miscarriage was not your fault," Harry said softly. "It was her own choice."
The baron was shocked, his eyes full of disbelief: "Are you serious?"
"Of course." Harry nodded.
He drank the wine in the glass and shook his head: "You are such a demon hunter. You want to get reward from me for this kind of information."
Harry said nothing.
"Are you planning to leave tonight or stay here for one night?" the Baron asked and began to search on the table again.
Harry turned around and glanced at Hermione: "Take a night's rest."
He could still hold on, but Hermione's face looked a little pale. Two days and one night without hibernation was still a huge burden for an ordinary person who had not received any training.
The Baron arranged a room for them.
"You know a lot about him?" When they returned to the house and sat on the bed, Hermione frowned.
The limitations of the times.
Even though Philip was a baron and the local tyrant of Willen, the environment of his bedroom was far inferior to that of the Gryffindor dormitory.
Almost instantly, she was back on her feet, waving her wand, and using Transfiguration spells to change the environment in the room.
Harry nodded. "Geralt told me."
Hermione looked at him suspiciously.
From what the baron said just now, he didn't sound like he had seen Geralt before.
"Ciri, she has ancient blood and can travel through space and time at will." Harry explained simply, took out his wand, and cast a spell with Hermione. "Many people remember that she can travel between different worlds, but always ignore that she can travel through time."
"Now she's messing up the timeline."
"These are things that Geralt has experienced before. He told me about them."
Hermione nodded thoughtfully: "You seem to have a good impression of the Baron?"
Harry conjured up a chair and sat down. "Geralt said he was a pretty good guy."
"Ciri is treated very well by him."
"Besides, he is still a good ruler. At least he is not a very cruel person."
Hermione frowned. "He's the Bloody Baron."
"It's impossible to rule this land without iron-blooded means." Harry shook his head.
He paused. "In Geralt's timeline, he ended up killing himself."
"If possible, I also hope that the person who took Ciri in can survive."
"Suicide?" Hermione was surprised. "He doesn't look like..."
Harry said with a sigh: "Geralt finally helped him find his daughter and his wife."
"But his wife was cursed and eventually died. His daughter was unwilling to stay with him and also left him. On that day, the family was truly destroyed."
Hermione was silent for a long while, then said: "He doesn't sound like a good father."
"Of course he's not." Harry shook his head. "He's an alcoholic and abusive father. He's almost the opposite of a father."
Hermione's brows furrowed further.
"His wife wasn't a good wife either." Harry continued, "War is the main theme of this world. The Baron was once an officer and fought bravely on the battlefield."
"It's all for the family and, of course, for himself."
"But his wife betrayed him."
"It was also from that time that he started domestic violence."
Hermione opened her mouth in surprise.
This kind of thing had a huge impact on her as she was still very young and had not yet left Hogwarts.
How could this be possible?
"The Baron is not a good man, but at least he once took Ciri in." Harry shook his head, took out a scented candle from the Sorting Hat and lit it. "I think I can help the Baron solve this little problem."
"Okay, go to sleep. You haven't closed your eyes for a long time."
"I hope Ciri is still here when I go to Novigrad."
The aromatherapy was personally blended by Professor Sprout.
It helps with sleeping very well.
Hermione's mind was in a mess, but she fell into a deep sleep within ten minutes.
Harry summed up and lay down on the bed to recover.
Until the next day.
At the dining table.
The sleepless Baron looked haggard, his fat face was covered with grease from staying up all night. He held a glass of wine and said, "Demon Hunter, are you really unwilling to help me?"
"Not yet," Harry answered him, "until I find Ciri."
"Oh, there's one more thing."
