Chapter 463 Confirming the Rumors

Hermione looked up and smiled.

She waved her wand.

Suddenly a silver plate with a steaming lamb chop appeared on the table, and two baked potatoes and a glass of whiskey flew out of the fireplace.

Ron stood up and opened his arms towards Harry: "Harry, you are finally back."

"How's it going?"

Hermione looked carefully, and when she saw the wounds that had been smeared with distilled water, a look of distress appeared on her face.

Harry hugged him briefly, sat down in front of the plate, and picked up the fork, "It's all taken care of."

He cut off a piece of baked potato and wolfed it down.

I only ate a little in the morning, and I've been busy till now, so I'm starving.

"Solved?" Ron seemed to have difficulty understanding these words.

Harry took a sip of whiskey and emptied his mouth. "That's exactly what I meant."

"Voldemort is dead?" Ron asked in a vague tone.

Harry nodded. "Technically, he's not dead yet."

Ron was startled and exclaimed in surprise.

Harry continued cutting the lamb chops.

Hermione explained, "There's another Horcrux, Nagini?"

"And another little trouble."

She raised her head and looked at Harry's forehead.

Harry nodded.

Ron suddenly realized: "As long as we deal with the last Horcrux, it will be completely over?"

Harry nodded again.

Compared to Voldemort, this guy who was far away from him and had a great reputation, Ron had direct contact with the Horcruxes. Because he understood them, he did not find them scary.

"What's going on with Professor Snape?" Ron sat down and waited for Harry to finish chewing before asking.

Harry turned his head to look at him, a little surprised: "When did you start to care about him?"

"No, it's not concern." Ron raised his neck, as if "concern for Snape" was some kind of humiliation. "It's curiosity. Many people noticed that Snape was sent to the school infirmary by you with wounds all over his body, and he left not long after. It's rumored that Madam Pomfrey couldn't treat him, so he was sent to St. Mungo's."

"It's not a rumor," Harry answered him.

Ron was stunned again, and it took him a while to react. What did "not a rumor" mean? Was the injury really that serious that he had to go to St. Mungo's?

His face lit up with excitement.

Harry whispered and recounted in detail what happened in the Elf World of Ain and El today.

"Snape could do such a thing?" Ron couldn't believe it.

Harry gave him a sullen look and continued eating.

A moment later, Sirius and Lupin slipped into the Gryffindor Common Room.

Harry had to repeat what he had just said before he finished his meal.

Sirius's reaction was exactly the same as Ron's. He was also full of disbelief: "Snape could do such a thing?"

At the critical moment, use your own life to delay.

This sounds...

It doesn't seem like something a Slytherin should do, but more like a feat that only a Gryffindor can accomplish.

"Oh, right." Harry peeled the last potato and looked at his godfather. He said softly, "My dear godfather, Professor Snape almost died."

"Albus was helpless at the time and could only watch him get closer to death."

Sirius muttered, "Oh, that's a shame."

"But do you know why he survived in the end?" Harry asked.

"You saved him?" Sirius asked back, "Like your father did?"

Harry shook his head: "No, it's because of you."

Sirius's expression and body were frozen. He looked at Harry with a frown, in confusion.

What does "because of you" mean?

Lupin was also confused.

"At the most critical moment, Albus mentioned your name in Snape's ear, and Professor Snape suddenly became determined and hoped that he could survive." Harry explained simply.

Sirius slammed the table in disbelief, pointing at himself: "Me?"

Harry nodded.

His facial features were distorted, as if a jar filled with twenty cockroaches had exploded on him, and those black, small, dense candies were crawling back and forth on his body with a rustling sound.

He slapped the table with a loud bang and fell on the stool. Veins on his neck exploded, blood rushed to his ears, and his whole body was dyed a bright red.

"What do you mean because of me?"

"What do you mean Snape doesn't want to die because of me!"

He couldn't help himself and uttered curse words one after another.

Lupin couldn't help laughing, holding his head.

Ron was surprised.

When they meet, these two people wish the other person would die in front of them on the spot, but how could there be such a complicated and tortuous story?

"Harry, explain to me, what do you mean by because of me?"

"Don't be silent!"

"What's going on!"

Harry slowly finished the remaining food on his plate. Hermione felt that Harry was still not full, so she gave him a small piece of pork chop and a few lettuce leaves.

"No, Harry, explain yourself."

Sirius was really anxious.

However, until Harry finished eating, he yawned and stretched: "I'm very tired today, I think I need to go to sleep."

"Explain it before you go to sleep, okay?" Sirius gritted his teeth.

Harry seemed not to hear. He waved at the two of them and said, "Godfather, and Uncle Remus, go to bed early. I wish you a good dream."

Sirius let out a threatening growl from the bottom of his throat.

Lupin nodded, stood up, and grabbed Sirius by the back of his collar: "Of course, take a good rest, you have been working too hard during this period."

"I think I'll have a good dream."

The big dog struggled: "Remus, let me go!"

"I'm going to bite him!"

"How can I have a good dream? How can I fall asleep today?"

"What do you mean Snape because I'm not dead!"

“This is horrible!”

tonight.

Harry had a good dream, and so did Hermione.

Ron even snored happily, and was woken up twice by Hedwig who couldn't stand it anymore, and was slapped three times by Crookshanks. Boss wanted to do something, but he didn't have the courage, after all, Ron was his own master.

Only Sirius did not sleep well.

As soon as he closed his eyes, the quilt was covered with Snape's dead fish face and greasy hair.

Hogwarts has truly returned to peace.

But the students were still shocked and felt that something big might happen.

Neville stayed in the school infirmary for half a month before he recovered. The first thing he did was to ask for leave. He wanted to take Crouch's body home.

He told his parents the good news.

but……

It was of no use; the blow they suffered was irreversible.

Snape will live in St. Mungo's for at least six months.

His body was severely damaged and most of his blood was destroyed by magic, so it needed to be repaired bit by bit.

This seems to further confirm the rumor about Hogwarts - the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor will not have a good end.

Snape has been teaching at Hogwarts for more than ten years!

Except for the year when he was substitute teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts and was beaten up by Mr. Potter and had his arm chopped off, he has always lived a stable, successful, safe and healthy life.

Can……

The only thing I had to do with Defense Against the Dark Arts in the past two years was that I almost lost my life.
