Chapter 97: The Stomach

Harry stood up and tapped his wand lightly on his body, and his outer clothes turned into school robes.

With another wave, the ropes that bound Lupin went back into the suitcase.

"How about we meet in Dumbledore's office tonight?" Harry invited him.

Lupin shook his head: "Dumbledore will catch Black."

Harry raised his wand.

"Black doesn't have the brains." Lupin continued to shake his head firmly, "He doesn't have the brains to hide and be an undercover agent."

"I believe him."

Ron stifled a laugh.

Hermione's expression also turned strange.

"Then see you in your office tonight?" Harry hesitated for a moment, held the badge that vibrated like a motor, took a deep breath, and invited again.

Lupin nodded: "I'll wait for you."

He hesitated, then tossed his wand from his robes to Harry.

Harry was stunned and almost didn't catch it with his reaction time.

"Harry, although I know I have no right to say this." Lupin hesitated and opened his mouth with some difficulty, "I haven't seen you in all these years."

"But believe me, I won't have any intention of hurting you unless..."

He didn't say "unless".

But he believed Harry could understand that it was a situation that he could not control.

Harry put away his wand: "Thank you for your trust in me, but I can't completely trust you yet."

"See you tonight."

They walked out of the train and got into the carriage. It was raining heavily, but the Thestral was pulling the carriage steadily. It was a kind of Pegasus and was flying at a very low and slow speed.

"Harry, what exactly is Professor Lupin?" Hermione frowned. "Is he dangerous?"

"He doesn't want to talk about it." Harry shook his head, "I can't speak for him."

Hermione wanted to say something else.

Harry interrupted her: "But he should be reliable."

"Dumbledore knew what he was, and my parents knew what he was, and they were classmates with him for seven years and became best friends."

"If he's unreliable."

"Don't worry, I will convince Dumbledore to let him be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor part-time."

Ron tutted, "Then I really hope he's not reliable at all."

The carriage quickly arrived in front of the gate.

Harry's face fell.

Next to the flying pig stone pillar, there were two Dementors parked. They looked at every carriage greedily, ready to move, and floated back and forth.

"The Ministry of Magic is so stupid!" Hermione gritted her teeth, "It seems that only a person with an empty head can sit in that position."

"After two years of unrest, isn't it natural that Hogwarts has become Azkaban?" Harry spread his hands and sneered.

Enter the auditorium.

The cold feeling brought by the Dementors was dispelled by the warmth, and the students who had not seen each other for the whole summer vacation chatted with each other.

Many people wore Gryffindor pendants the length of their palms.

even……

You can see it in some Slytherins.

The sorting process was the same as always. After the last person was sorted, the Sorting Hat couldn't wait to yell: "Harry, come and pick me up."

Harry drew out the snake bone sword as he walked.

"Wait, what are you going to do?" the Sorting Hat asked in panic.

Harry picked it up and stuck the sword in. "It's just a sword."

"It's much longer than Gryffindor's!" The Sorting Hat twisted, "I feel like it's pressing against my stomach."

"You have a stomach for a hat?" Harry flicked it.

"Metaphor, this is just a metaphor. I told you this in first year." The Sorting Hat said confidently, "By the way, why did you get another sword? Don't you have the confidence to pass the Gryffindor test?"

"I need two swords." Harry said confidently, "There are some occasions where the sword of Gryffindor is not suitable."

Crookshanks came over curiously and fiddled with the Sorting Hat.

This is the first time it has seen a talking hat.

"Oh, no, how could there be a cat here?" The Sorting Hat's voice trembled and shook a little.

"It's my pet. Are you afraid of cats?" Hermione did not stop Crookshanks.

The Sorting Hat nodded its tip and said: "There was once a headmistress whose pet was a cat. You know cats are very curious creatures..."

That’s what it said.

Crookshanks flicked out his claws and scratched the hat.

With magical protection, it was naturally impossible to scratch it. The ginger flat-faced kitten immediately liked the feeling and used both paws to scratch it, making a crunching sound.

"I knew it, I knew it." The Sorting Hat said helplessly, "Harry, do me a favor and take it away, okay?"

Crookshanks gave a fierce cry.

"Kneazle, it has Kneazle blood!" the Sorting Hat screamed even louder, "Oh, no, that kind of creature!"

In the teacher's seat.

Dumbledore stood up, his expression serious: "My dear students, I am glad to see that we are gathered here again after a summer vacation."

“But this school year is different.”

Ron muttered, "Can it be as different as the first two school years?"

He didn't believe that there could be anything bigger than Voldemort's appearance.

"I have a few things to say, one of which is so important that I want you to remember it."

Dumbledore cleared his throat and emphasized his words.

"As you can see, our school has welcomed several Dementors from Azkaban. They were sent by the Ministry of Magic to perform official duties. I think you all know about this, because they searched the Hogwarts Express, albeit in a somewhat unpleasant way."

Fred cried out, "No, that silver lion makes us happy."

The little lions laughed.

They all knew who the lion belonged to. Even if they had never seen it in person, they had heard rumors about it - it was Harry Potter's patronus.

Dumbledore smiled and waved his hand again: "Of course, I like that Patronus very much, too."

"But for young wizards who haven't mastered the Patronus Charm, Dementors are very dangerous."

"I must make it clear that they are stationed at every entrance to the school, including those hidden and unknown secret passages that some students believe are hidden."

"While they are still here, no one is allowed to leave without permission. They are very sensitive, and no spells, potions, or props can deceive them."

"I hope that every prefect, as well as the newly elected head boy and girl council presidents, will protect the students of their own house."

Percy puffed out his chest with pride, showing off the shining emblem on his chest.

"Let's talk about some lighter topics." Dumbledore raised his wand, and a gentle magic power fell on every little wizard.

It made them feel warm and cheerful.

"First, let me introduce two new professors."

"This year's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Professor Lupin!"

After being hit by the Stunning Spell, Lupin, with an even more haggard face, stood up, and was greeted with only sparse applause - that was from the first-year wizards.

Every mature Hogwarts student no longer believes that there can be a qualified Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.
