Chapter 159: Veritaserum Mixed in Potion

"What did you say... there's an empty room under the trapdoor?"

The next morning, when Fred and George learned about this from Kyle, their expressions were exactly the same as Cedric's.

Shock, suspicion, disbelief.

Because of the trapdoor incident, they didn't sleep well the whole night. Whenever they closed their eyes, the hideous and terrifying appearance of the three-headed dog would appear in their minds.

They were so curious about what kind of creature was worthy of being guarded by a three-headed dog.

Final exam papers? Or maybe the sword of Gryffindor!

The two guessed all night long and only fell asleep for a short while when it was dawn.

Now, Kyle actually told them that there were just a few empty rooms under the trapdoor? Fred and George were a little bit confused.

Where's the promised adventure... Where's the promised challenge... So Dumbledore just found a place to raise dogs in the castle?

This is too perfunctory. You can't fool people like this.

"Those rooms can't be empty all the time." Kyle patted Fred on the shoulder and consoled him, "I think it's probably because the school has just started and the professors are too busy to have time to decorate them.

We can go back later, maybe around Halloween or Christmas break.”

"You're right." Fred sighed and said, "It looks like we won't have to go there for a while. We can just look for the last word of the password."

"I think we should just forget it." Cedric put down the pumpkin juice in his hand and said, "Hogwarts is so big, you may not be able to find everything even after graduation."

"No."

George shook his head and said, "The makers of the Marauder's Map would not hide the password clues in meaningless places."

"The first clue we found was on Filch's office door... a place only people in detention would go."

"And on the pillars of the trophy room..."

"The common rooms of the four colleges..."

"The highest tower of the castle..."

"In short, they are all representative or unique places." George touched his chin and said thoughtfully, "And we can vaguely feel that we are very close to the final answer, but there is still a thin layer of parchment in between."

"Really..." Cedric shrugged, not commenting.

He felt that the clue to the last password might not exist at all, or it might have been just a prank.

But Fred and George didn't believe it at all.

Soon, the messenger arrived.

A large flock of owls flew into the auditorium, among which six sturdy long-eared owls attracted everyone's attention.

They carried a long and thin package, crossed the dining table, and came to a Slytherin student.

The man didn't hesitate and opened the package on the spot. Inside was a brand new Nimbus 2000.

"Yes, the new broom, the Nimbus 2000, the same one used by professional Quidditch teams!"

Amid the envious gazes of a large group of young wizards, he said loudly with obvious pride on his face: "My father sent it specially to celebrate my joining the Slytherin team this year.

But I don't think that's necessary, I can beat everyone to a pulp even without the best broom in the wizarding world."

His voice was so loud that almost half of the auditorium could hear it.

Kyle turned and glanced at him.

Don’t know.

"Hey guys, look at Marcus Flint."

Perhaps the name Nimbus 2000 reminded them of some bad experiences. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at the boy who received the package with unfriendly faces, not even eating.

There was also a lot of commotion over in Gryffindor.

Neville received a Memory Orb, which is a valuable alchemical item and is rare.

The main reason is that this thing is notoriously useless in the magic world. It only reminds you that you have forgotten something, but it doesn't show the specific situation... This is very uncomfortable.

Plus, the price of the Memory Ball was not cheap, more than a hundred Galleons, which was enough to discourage most curious wizards.

Kyle also received a package.

It was a small box the size of a palm, with a layer of kraft paper on the outside.

After the owl delivered the package, it dropped off a letter.

“As agreed before, I have delivered what you need, I hope it won’t be too late.

(Your Order of Merlin has been reviewed, but you will have to wait a little longer) - Pegasus Sasia.

Dean Sassia from St. Mungo's sent the potion? Kyle's eyes lit up.

"What is that?" Fred looked at Kyle's excitement and asked curiously, "What did you buy?"

"No, it's a potion given to me by someone else."

"Potion?"

"Well." Kyle hesitated for a moment and said, "I ran into some trouble at St. Mungo's... These potions are the compensation given to me by the headmaster of St. Mungo's."

Due to the forced intervention of the Ministry of Magic, the Daily Prophet did not mention werewolves, only saying that someone was causing trouble at St. Mungo's.

So neither Cedric, the Weasley brothers, nor Connor knew that he had encountered a werewolf face to face during the summer vacation.

In order not to worry them, Kyle didn't tell them.

"I see..." Fred had no interest in potions and picked up a copy of the Daily Prophet to read.

Cedric and Connor came over with interest.

By this time, Kyle had already opened the brown paper, revealing the wooden box inside.

In order to facilitate transportation, a traceless expansion spell was cast on the box. It looks only the size of a palm from the outside, but the space is very large when opened.

Bottles of all sizes were neatly placed inside, about fifty or sixty of them. There was a separate area on the side of the box where some materials needed to brew potions were placed.

"This is the eggshell of the fire ash snake... and the petals of the antler flower..." Kanna said in surprise.

She had seen these things in Professor Snape's office, and they were all tightly sealed and placed on the top shelf. They were all extremely precious potion materials.

If you take any one of them and put it in Diagon Alley, you can sell it for hundreds of Galleons.

Kyle simply glanced at the materials before turning his attention back to the potion.

He found something wrong with the quantities of these potions.

Too many.

In addition to what was agreed upon previously, Dean Sasia gave some extra gifts.

For some reason, Kyle even saw Veritaserum in the corner of the box.
