Chapter 206 How is Quirrell still alive?

In the Gryffindor common room, Ron never expected that Hermione would give them such a big surprise just after he and Harry returned.

"What book did you find that in anyway?" Harry asked.

"On Dumbledore's Chocolate Frog card!"

Hermione said angrily, "You two keep talking about how many cards you've collected, but no one knows!"

Hearing Hermione say this, Harry was slightly startled and immediately took a breath of cold air. No wonder he always felt that he had seen this name somewhere. Now he remembered that it was on the train.

Dumbledore was the first card he collected.

"Also, I found this."

Hermione pulled out another thick, old book and began to flip through the pages rapidly in front of the two men.

"Nicolas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone!"

"What stone?" Harry and Ron asked at the same time.

"Oh, what's going on? Don't you two usually read books? Read it yourself!"

Hermione pushed the book to them and continued, "I bet that the big dog is guarding the Philosopher's Stone."

Harry and Ron were like two newbies who were being taken to a dungeon by a max-level boss. They had just finished reading the strategy guide given by the boss, but when they looked up they found that they had already completed the level.

Not only did Hermione find Nicolas Flamel, she even guessed what was hidden under the trapdoor.

The Philosopher's Stone... no wonder Snape was eyeing it.

A stone can turn into gold and make people immortal. Anyone would want it.

"And you two..." Hermione closed the book, "Did Hagrid tell me what happened yesterday?"

"No." Ron shook his head frustratedly. "Hagrid wouldn't say, and no matter how we asked, he didn't reveal any information."

"But we found that Hagrid seemed to be injured." Harry thought for a moment and said, "There is a bottle of distilled essence in his room. I remember learning in the Herbology class that it is a special medicine for healing wounds."

"White fresh essence?"

Hermione frowned. So, the reason Hagrid went to the school hospital was not to help Madam Pomfrey, but because he was injured.

She was right before, Hagrid must be related to what happened yesterday.

"Or we can go ask Kyle again." Ron suggested.

"It's no use." Hermione shook her head. "If he wanted to tell us, he would have told us before. Besides, you don't think he would let slip like Hagrid."

"Hermione is right." Harry nodded in agreement. He didn't really want to go find Kyle.

Mainly because of Quidditch.

Ever since Slytherin unexpectedly lost to Ravenclaw, it has lost the possibility of competing for the championship.

Ravenclaw was shut out in the first game, so even if they won the score would not be high.

Therefore, the next match between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor is crucial. Whoever wins can lock in victory in advance.

Under such circumstances, the relationship between the two colleges quickly dropped to freezing point in just one afternoon, and Harris and Wood almost fought in the corridor.

At this time, even if they went to find Kyle, he might not pay attention to them.

Seeing that both of them objected, Ron had no choice but to give up.

When class started the next day, everyone saw Professor Quirrell again.

Apparently, he had not contributed to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's curse, as most people had assumed.

This made many people very disappointed.

They had previously thought that if the professor was missing, the final exams might be cancelled.

However, some people noticed that Professor Quirrell's arm was injured again, with a thick bandage on his wrist, and his face was paler than before.

He explained that he was injured because he was too anxious two days ago and accidentally fell down the stairs.

Many people felt regretful again...

Kyle clearly heard a Slytherin next to him say faintly: "The atmosphere is already so tense, how come he just broke his arm…"

Maybe it was because of his injury, but Professor Quirrell didn't even bring his "teaching assistant" this time. He gave everyone a standard reading class. If you didn't know, you would have thought they were taking a history of magic class.

That's not right... Professor Binns at least read the long content himself, but Professor Quirrell let the students read it themselves, and he sat on the podium until the end of the get out of class, and seemed to have taken a nap during that time.

The little wizards who were taking classes below all looked unhappy.

Everyone can read... This salary is too comfortable. If Hogwarts had a professor slacking competition, Quirrell would definitely be the undisputed champion.

Even if a crup were the professor, he couldn't do any worse. I don't know why Dumbledore hasn't fired him yet.

If Defense Against the Dark Arts was only becoming more and more boring, then Potions was becoming a torture for Kyle.

It seemed that he was venting his dissatisfaction with losing the game, or perhaps he wanted to transfer the pain to Kyle. In any case, Snape's attitude towards him became even worse.

The minimum deduction for each deduction is five points, with no upper limit.

Although these points would be added back through Kanna for various reasons later, Kyle was still so angry that he wanted to put Mikel's crucible on his head more than once.

As for why he didn't take it from himself...it was because the potions he brewed were all standard potions, and even if he took it from Snape, it wouldn't cause much damage, and he could easily solve it.

But Mikel's is different. His is Schrödinger's potion. Before leaving the crucible, no one knows what the effect of that thing will be, and it is difficult to find a corresponding solution.

Harry had the same experience as Kyle. He was also targeted by Snape, but the points deducted were not as many.

Moreover, after hearing about Kyle's experience from others, Harry's originally bad mood suddenly improved a lot. Even when he met Snape outside the Potions classroom, he was much calmer.

"Fred and George are right." Harry said lightly during a game of wizard chess, "It seems that Snape really hates Kyle more."

"If you say so, we have a good chance of winning the game?" Ron was also a little excited.

It would be great for Gryffindor if Snape could continue to cause trouble for Hufflepuff.

"Ron, don't say that." Harry commanded the knight to capture a soldier and said confidently: "Even if Snape is not the referee, we will definitely win!"
