Chapter 246 Blue Crystal Fragments

In Nico's private library, Kyle, as usual, sat at the table, quietly flipping through a book on alchemy in his hand.

The house-elf Tata stood quietly by and brought Kyle a glass of freshly made lemonade when he finished reading the last page.

"Thanks."

Kyle finished his lemonade and breathed a sigh of relief.

It has been a month since he came here. During this period, he almost lived in this library. Sometimes, even Tata brought him meals.

Although Nicolas Flamel did not teach him any knowledge about alchemy, he recommended a number of books suitable for beginners, which also benefited Kyle a lot and made a qualitative leap in his alchemy level.

This visible progress made Kyle extremely satisfied.

Unfortunately, today is the day I leave.

Kyle reluctantly handed the book in his hand to Tata and walked out of the library alone.

In the hall, Nicolas Flamel was still enjoying an opera performance from his memory.

When Kyle came over, the band had just finished playing the last syllable.

"I was just wondering when you would come out."

Nico put away his memories and slowly stood up from the beach chair, "Perenel has urged us several times. We have to go back."

Perenelle is Nicole's wife, but she prefers to stay in Devonshire and take care of the plants in the garden, so she did not come to Paris this time.

"Are we leaving now?" Kyle asked.

"No hurry." Nico said with a smile: "Before that, I need to check if you are lazy."

"Well then... Professor Nico."

Kyle pulled a folded piece of parchment from his pocket and unfolded it in front of Nico.

The parchment had detailed markings on every room here, and Kyle's name was written on the location in the hall.

"Is this a map?" Nico said with interest.

"Yes." Kyle said, "The original version of the map was drawn by Tata. I studied the trajectory magic of the flying spell and some other interesting things, and finally made this."

Kyle took out his wand and pointed it at the map, then whispered:

"The library!"

On the parchment, a clear dotted line appeared between Kyle's name and the library.

Nico's eyes flickered, but he didn't say anything, just moved his fingers slightly.

In an instant, the hall seemed to come alive, and the corridor behind Kyle began to slowly close, and soon it closed together and turned into a wall.

Not only that, even other places such as doors and windows also disappeared, and the hall suddenly became an enclosed space with no exit.

Nico looked at the parchment again.

The location of the room on the map also changed, but strangely, the dotted line connecting Kyle and the library still existed, it just changed direction.

The dotted line turned a corner before the corridor and disappeared into a wall on the left.

"It looks like your work has failed."

Nico looked up at Kyle, pointed in the direction of the dotted line and said with a smile: "There is no exit there."

"Not necessarily, Nico." Kyle also smiled.

He followed the map to the wall, then took a deep breath and ran straight into it.

Nothing happened, just like at Platform 9, Kyle walked through the wall and came to the familiar corridor.

Then, Nico followed out.

"Please allow me to take back my previous comments." He smiled and said, "Great work, you are indeed not lazy."

"Of course." Nico took out two crystal fragments, one blue and one red. "This is a portkey. You can use it by inputting magic power into it through alchemy."

Kyle stared at the blue crystal that looked exactly like the Philosopher's Stone fragment and opened his mouth, but in the end he asked nothing.

Nico continued, "The red one can take you home, and the blue one can allow you to return to the library again if you need it one day."

"Come back here?" Kyle raised his head subconsciously.

"Yes." Nico said, "I think you must have wondered why I invited you here."

Kyle was silent for a moment, then nodded slightly.

At first he thought it was because of the Order of Merlin, but if that was all, he wouldn't have stayed there so long.

Especially since during a meal ten days ago, Nico's wife Perenelle had already begun urging him to go back.

Kyle was ready to go home, but surprisingly, Nico refused, saying he had to watch an opera.

However, he hardly went out these days.

"Because I saw you coming here. I saw it two months ago," Nico said.

Two months ago... Hogwarts wasn't on holiday yet.

Kyle thought for a moment, "Is it a prophecy?"

"Strictly speaking, not really, but you can understand it that way." Nico smiled and blinked, "Do you want to know what I saw?"

"No!" Kyle shook his head immediately.

The prophecies in the magical world are very strange. If you don’t know them, the results may change, but once you know them, they will definitely happen one day.

"Don't be so nervous."

Nico waved his fingers, returning the room to its original state.

"In fact, I only saw you come here twice, and nothing else.

But there was a voice in my head telling me that you needed that knowledge and I should help you."

Hearing Nicolas Flamel say this, Kyle's expression relaxed a lot.

As long as he's not here to look for Nicolas Flamel, it shouldn't be a big deal.

What was the reason for his last move... Oh yeah, saving Paris.

The two returned to the hall together.

"Well, there's one last thing..."

Nico pointed to a box on the table next to him, "It's a little late, but happy birthday, kid."

Kyle suddenly remembered that today was August 5th, and it had been five days since his birthday.

"Thanks, Nico, what is this?"

"Didn't you say before that you wanted a box to store magic items?" Nico said, "I made it for you while I was listening to the opera."

Kyle picked up the box and examined it carefully.

The box was heavy, with a dark gold surface and a few golden symbols on the opening... Kyle quickly recognized that it was used to store magic power.

"Great, that's exactly what I needed." Kyle said happily.

"As long as you like it."
