Chapter 257 Riddle's Diary

Back at the Leaky Cauldron, Hagrid suggested that they have a drink before leaving, and everyone agreed...even Mrs. Weasley, who was the angriest.

She felt that she needed to explain what had just happened to the Grangers, lest they have any bad thoughts about wizards.

While the adults were chatting, Kyle came over to Ginny.

The little girl was drinking the hot chocolate in her hand with her head down, without saying a word... In the Leaky Cauldron, this was the only thing besides all kinds of alcohol.

Kyle's sudden appearance startled her.

"That throw just now was really beautiful."

"You, you saw everything?"

"I wasn't sure before..." Kyle shrugged and said, "But a normal Ginny wouldn't be so quiet."

"I... I'm just too angry." Ginny pinched the cup, "Why did he say that about Dad!"

But she immediately changed her expression and asked nervously, "Kyle, will they fire Dad?"

"Don't worry, it won't happen." Kyle thought for a moment and said, "The Ministry of Magic has just passed the latest Muggle Protection Act, and Mr. Weasley is the initiator and main executor of this law.

If he is fired at this time, it will have a great impact on the prestige of the Ministry of Magic, and Fudge will not agree."

Ginny blinked...she didn't understand.

"Okay, let me put it another way."

Kyle smiled and said, "Mr. Weasley has a lot of friends, including many directors, deputy directors, and members of the Wizengamot. They will all help and support him."

Now Ginny understood.

She let out a long sigh, and her whole body became visibly cheerful.

"Thank you, Kyle!"

"No need, I'm just telling the truth." Kyle waved his hand and said:

"But you threw the cauldron very accurately just now. If there weren't so many books in it, it should have hit Malfoy on the head.

Seriously, Ginny, you have a talent for being a Chaser."

"It's a shame first years aren't allowed to play Quidditch," Ginny laughed.

"You can try it too. After all, Harry is an exception."

"But I heard that Gryffindor is not short of Chasers now..."

"That's true. Let's talk about it when you are in the second grade."

"Hey, you just told me to give it a try." Ginny said unhappily, "Can't I be selected as an exception like Harry?"

"I was just being polite...it's really your fault." Kyle said calmly, "If it were me, I would definitely not have missed that shot just now."

Ginny gritted her teeth and seemed to want to throw the cauldron at Kyle's face to let him see whether she was accurate.

But when she turned around, she found that her crucible had been taken away by Kyle at some point.

"I was just worrying about what gift to give you for school admission..."

Kyle pulled the old books out of the cauldron, "How about a brand new set of textbooks."

Ginny quickly shook her head and refused, "No, no, that's too expensive. I can use a second-hand one..."

"It's settled then."

Before she could finish, Kyle put away the old books and said, "But you have to wait two days. Flourish and Blotts Bookstore probably won't welcome us right now."

Ginny couldn't help laughing.

Because of them, several bookshelves in Blooms and Blots were knocked down, and the books on them were scattered all over the floor.

If it weren't for that man named Hagrid, they definitely wouldn't have been able to leave so easily.

After drinking the butterbeer, everyone calmed down a lot. Mr. and Mrs. Granger put aside what happened just now and said goodbye to Mrs. Weasley with laughter and chat.

They were going back to the Muggle street on the other side of the pub.

He had quite a bit of this stuff in his bag, all prepared for a certain professor, so it didn't matter if he took out just one bottle.

After saying goodbye at the bar, Kyle and the Weasleys came to the fireplace and returned to the Burrow via Floo powder.

"It's a good thing you didn't pronounce my name wrong this time, dear."

At the kitchen door of the Burrow, Mrs. Weasley took a coat brush and began to brush the ashes off them. "Very good, everyone is here... Wait, why are there only eight people, where is Percy!"

Everyone then realized that Percy had not returned.

"I remember him reading a book in a junk shop," said Ron. Harry nodded. "It seemed to be "How the Prefects Gained Power"."

Everything in the junk shop was in tatters except that book, which looked like new.

"Ha, that's very Percy indeed," said Fred, laughing.

"He wants to be the student union president..."

"Maybe the Minister of Magic, too!"

Mrs. Weasley ignored Fred and George and put down her coat brush.

"Oh my god, Percy must have lost track of time...didn't you call him when you got back?"

"Who cared about Percy at the time?" Ron whispered. "We thought you called him..."

Mrs. Weasley said nothing, but silently grabbed a handful of Floo powder and threw it into the fireplace.

In fact, she had forgotten too.

Mrs. Weasley went back to get Percy.

Kyle declined Fred's invitation to play Quidditch in the woods, and hurried back home after leaving the Burrow.

He went back to his room, locked the door, and took out Ginny's pile of old textbooks.

Inside the Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration was a worn black notebook.

The faded date on the cover indicated that it was fifty years old and was inconspicuous among the old books.

Even if someone saw it, they would mistakenly think that someone at the thrift store accidentally forgot to put it there while sorting things out.

Kyle took a deep breath and carefully opened the notebook... On the first page, there was only a vague name.

"Fuck Riddle."

Sure enough, Lucius Malfoy secretly gave the diary to Ginny.

He probably wanted to use this method to take revenge on the Weasley family.

Kyle knocked on the table...Lucius Malfoy probably didn't know the true purpose of the diary, but he must know how dangerous Voldemort's things were.

In other words, he didn't care about Ginny's life or death at all.

Hagrid was right, Lucius Malfoy was indeed evil.

Although he also paid a price for it.

After Voldemort was resurrected, he immediately discovered that something had happened to the Horcrux he had hidden with Malfoy.

Although Lucius Malfoy gave up all his property and barely saved his family's lives, Draco was still forcibly sent to assassinate Dumbledore.

A student who hadn't even graduated yet went to assassinate Dumbledore... It was obvious that Voldemort didn't want him alive at all.

But that's all for the future.

Now that the diary was in his hands, Ginny should be able to have a normal school year.

Moreover, he happened to have some questions and wanted to ask the young Riddle.
