It was a rare opportunity for Hagrid to ask them for help, so they agreed without much hesitation.
Fortunately, the beast-repelling spell was just a simple spell. Although it was a huge project, it was finally completed in the evening with the joint efforts of six people.
They also received a thank-you gift from Hagrid.
Cedric and Kyle got a handful of stork feathers, all of which were the largest feathers on the wings, which were perfect for making quills.
Kanna and Qiu's was a small bag for hair accessories and coins. The weaving was a bit rough, but the unicorn hair material was enough to make up for the lack of craftsmanship.
Of the six people, only Fred and George returned empty-handed.
It's not easy to come across a Kneazle, it takes time.
Hagrid told Fred and George to go back to the cabin after Christmas so they could see the Kneazle again.
As for whether Fred and George can gain the trust of the catkins and bring them home, it depends on their own ability.
After all, these magical animals are very smart and can always run away if they don't like something.
"I really hope tomorrow is Christmas." Fred said expectantly on the way back to the castle.
"What if the Kneazle doesn't like us?" George was a little nervous. He turned and glanced at Qiu and Connor. "Maybe it would be nice if we had a small bag. Ginny would like it just as well."
"Why didn't you say it then!" Fred glanced at him.
"I just remembered..."
They chatted and laughed all the way back to the castle. There was still some time before dinner, so they decided to go to the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor first.
Ever since Kyle told them about that magical place, it has become a great place to kill time.
But just as they reached the third floor, a sharp voice came from the corridor on the left.
"Attack, attack! Attack again! No one, human or ghost, will be spared! Run for your life!"
The sound is extremely penetrating.
Kyle and the others looked at each other, and without caring about going to the Room of Requirement, they hurried over.
In a dim corridor, they saw Peeves who was yelling and two ghosts in strange states.
Nearly Headless Nick and the Bloody Baron turned black and smoky, lying flat on their backs, suspended six inches above the ground.
Nearly Headless Nick had half of his head missing, a look of utter horror frozen on his face.
Harry stood between the two ghosts, looking at them in panic.
At the same time, more and more people flocked in, but surprisingly, no one approached the two ghosts and Harry. Everyone stood on both sides of the corridor, looking at Harry in the middle with complicated expressions.
"I... am not..."
Harry felt like his stomach had frozen. He tried to explain, but the words that came out were pale and powerless.
At this moment, someone suddenly broke the silence and asked, "Harry, did you see who made them like this?"
"I didn't see it." Harry seemed to have grasped a life-saving straw and explained quickly: "They were like this when I came, and then Peeves came, and he..."
"Stop talking nonsense, you did it!"
Hufflepuff MacMillan squeezed out of the crowd, "Kyle, don't be fooled by him, he's a Parseltongue.
And at the Duel Club, he once controlled a snake and tried to attack Justin Finch-Fletchley.
And Justin just said that he was going to the third floor to get the book he forgot in the Transfiguration classroom."
"You must have overheard our conversation?" He looked at Harry and said, "Luckily I lent him my book so you didn't succeed!"
Behind McMillan, a curly-haired boy was looking at Harry in horror. His face turned pale and he subconsciously moved closer to Kyle, as if that was the only way he felt safe.
"No, I didn't..." Harry explained, "I was in the library all afternoon and didn't go anywhere. How could I possibly eavesdrop on your conversation?"
"They were all caught on the spot..."
Professor Flitwick and Professor Sinistra of Astronomy also arrived and stepped forward, bending over the two spirits.
Peeves kept floating around overhead, looking very happy.
Ever since seeing the Bloody Baron become like that, Peeves has never stopped smiling and even composed a song.
"Oh, Potter, you bastard, look what you've done.
You made a ghost and you thought it was funny..."
"Stop it, Peeves!" shouted Professor McGonagall.
Peeves stuck out his tongue at Harry and ran to the other side to greet Kyle.
"Oh, little brat Kyle, you better be careful and don't get killed... But it would be nice if you turned into a ghost."
"Peeves!" Professor McGonagall yelled again, and Peeves ran away happily.
The two professors dispersed the crowd, and Professor McGonagall conjured a large fan and handed it to Kyle, asking him to help take Nearly Headless Nick and Bloody Barrow to the school hospital.
Kyle nodded and fanned the two ghosts down the stairs like they were balloons.
Professor McGonagall walked upstairs, saying to Harry, "Follow me, Potter."
"Professor!" said Harry quickly, "I swear I didn't..."
"It's not my business. Dumbledore wants to talk to you," Professor McGonagall replied briefly.
The two people's voices became farther and farther away, and soon nothing could be heard.
Kyle led the two ghosts through the hall and headed towards the school hospital.
They attracted so many people's attention that everyone they met along the way stared at them curiously.
"Kyle, what are you doing...oh, isn't this the ghost from Gryffindor?"
In the courtyard, Kyle also met Lockhart, who looked at the nearly headless Nick and asked, "They made themselves a new set of clothes?"
"It was an attack, Professor," Kyle said. "Just like the last two times."
"Of course I know this is the case, they must have been cursed." Lockhart grinned and said, "I have seen such ghosts in the vampire castle. They angered the vampires and could only float on the ceiling like balloons.
But after my persuasion, the vampires finally lifted their curse... I just happened to remember the spell."
"That's great." Kyle continued walking forward without stopping. "Then come with me to the school hospital. Professor McGonagall asked me to take them there."
"Of course, no problem, but I need to go back now and reply to my admirers."
Lockhart showed his two rows of shining teeth. "Please tell Madam Pomfrey to wait for me for a moment. I will go over and help her solve this problem right away."
…
After arriving at the school hospital, Madam Pomfrey was helpless with the two ghosts. She could only ask Kyle to fan them into the corner and then surround them with a curtain.
As long as there is no wind, they won't run around.
Before leaving, Kyle casually said, "Professor Lockhart might come over in a while."
"What is he doing here?" Madam Pomfrey frowned.
"He said he was helping with the ghost problem."
"Help?" Madam Pomfrey laughed out of anger. "He can't even tell the difference between hellebore and two-leaf clover. He can only make up stories and is completely ignorant..."
At this point, she suddenly realized that Kyle was here too, and quickly shut her mouth.
"Nothing...just go back."
