Hearing Ron's words, George blinked and said, "Maybe you can get a nice report card at the end of the school year."
"Stop gloating." Ron yawned.
"What are you talking about?"
At this time, Harry also walked out of the dormitory, and Fred and George quickly changed the subject.
It was all right to make fun of Ron, but they wouldn't say it to Harry's face.
Harry came to Ron and greeted everyone, "Merry Christmas, Fred, George, Kay... Kyle? Where are you from?"
He was a little surprised. He didn't expect to see Kyle in the Gryffindor common room.
"A few minutes ago," Kyle laughed.
Ron then realized that there was an extra person around him. "Sorry, I didn't see you just now... Thank you for the gift. I like that wizard chessboard very much."
"And the Quidditch model they gave me," said Harry. "That's great."
"As long as you like it." Kyle said with a smile.
After being taken to the Gryffindor common room by Fred and George, Kyle no longer thought about going to the Room of Requirement. He played wizard chess and crackling cards with them here for the whole morning.
Ginny and Percy were there, and everyone was welcoming to Kyle.
It's just that Percy was a little too formal. He shook hands with Kyle in a serious manner, as if he was receiving a visiting group of Hufflepuffs.
Kyle even thought for a moment that his clothes were a little too casual... If he had known this, he should have worn Phoenix socks.
In the afternoon, Harry and Ron were dragged by Hermione to the library to do their homework. Kyle, Fred and George went to Hogsmeade through the secret passage.
Every store here is decorated very beautifully, and Christmas gifts are prepared for customers who enter the store. Zuko's is the magical fireworks that bloom when seeing water, and Honeydukes is the candy cane...
These gifts are hung on the Christmas tree at the door, and you can get them within easy reach. If you forget, the owner will remind you.
The only downside is that they don't offer the service of "protecting Hogwarts students from being discovered."
At the Three Broomsticks, Kyle had just taken a few sips of butterbeer when the door next to him was suddenly pushed open from the outside.
The next second, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, Hagrid... Sinistra of Astronomy... a total of seven or eight professors walked in one after another.
They also discovered Kyle and the other two.
Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, then calmly walked past them as if she hadn't seen anything.
"Ms. Rosmerta, three pints of mead, cherry syrup and soda..."
Kyle and the other two all drank their butterbeer faster, wanting to leave as soon as possible.
However, just as they were about to pay, the bar owner, Ms. Rosmerta, shook her head. "No, Minerva has already paid for you. Do you want anything else?"
"No, thanks!"
The three of them lowered their heads and hurried away from the Three Broomsticks.
Not only was I caught sneaking out of school, but I was also treated to a meal by the professor... How should I put it, it was pretty embarrassing.
The three of them no longer had the heart to play and hurried back to the castle.
"I forgot, today is Christmas."
After coming out of the secret passage, Fred grabbed his hair and said, "Professors obviously don't stay in their offices to grade assignments."
"We shouldn't have gone to the Three Broomsticks!"
"Fortunately Professor McGonagall didn't say anything..."
Kyle also felt a little regretful. If he had known that the professor was treating them, he should have ordered something expensive to drink.
For example, the Three Broomsticks' signature Ogden Gold Mead, which costs ten galleons a glass, Kyle has always wanted to taste what it tastes like.
…
At the Christmas dinner at Hogwarts, everyone enjoyed the meal.
Dumbledore led everyone in singing some of his favorite Christmas carols, and as Hagrid drank glass after glass of eggnog, his voice became louder and louder, until in the end his was the only voice in the hall.
Fred was sitting next to Kyle, pointing at Percy's prefect badge and chuckling. The word on it had changed to "idiot" at some point, but Percy didn't notice it at all and kept asking people around him what they were laughing at.
Malfoy did not go back this year either. He was sitting opposite Harry at this time, mocking his new sweater in a loud voice. Surprisingly, Harry did not talk back.
The dinner was very sumptuous, especially the Christmas pudding specially made by the house-elves this year.
It’s just like Bibi Multi-Flavor Beans, you can taste a different flavor in every bite, it’s very unique.
After finishing the puddings, Professor McGonagall was the first to leave the table, followed by Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
Kyle also wanted to leave, but was stopped by Dumbledore.
"If you have time, could you come to my office with me?"
"Of course, Professor." Kyle nodded, although he was a little confused.
The two left the auditorium together, talking as they walked towards the principal's office.
This year, Kyle didn't buy the latest edition of "Five Hundred Ways to Knit a Wool Sock", so he gave Dumbledore a large bundle of wool.
Dumbledore seemed pleased, though, and asked Kyle where he got the high-quality wool.
"This is wool from snow sheep, professor," Kyle said. "There happened to be a flock of them in Mr. Scamander's box. I collected some when I went there in August."
"Does Newt have any?" Dumbledore asked in surprise, "Are there many?"
"About thirty or so."
Dumbledore was even happier after hearing this.
When they reached the eighth floor, the dripping stone beast jumped to the side from a distance, and Dumbledore took Kyle into the headmaster's office.
The furnishings here were not much different from before, except that there was a large ball of wool on the table, and a few wool sweaters and half a half-finished scarf were hanging on the Mirror of Erised in the corner.
The Hogwarts headmaster seems to have really taken to knitting, and has gone beyond socks and gloves.
Kyle guessed that the sweater he wore under his robe was probably knitted by himself.
"Professor, what do you want to talk to me about?" Kyle asked.
"It's not me, it's Fawkes." Dumbledore sighed quietly, "He really likes the cloak grass and eggplant flowers you gave him."
"Fox?" Kyle subconsciously looked at Qizhi at the door.
Standing on it was a wrinkled little bird with newly grown light red hair stubble on its body...it looked extremely ugly.
"Have you attained Nirvana?"
Kyle walked over.
Little Fox nodded, then picked up a small bottle and put it in Kyle's hand.
"What is this..." Kyle picked up the bottle and found a small pile of black powder inside.
"The ashes left after the phoenix's rebirth are also Fawkes's Christmas gift to you." There was a hint of pain in Dumbledore's voice.
He didn't expect Fox to hold such a grudge... It was just that he didn't take it out during the holiday, but it still remembers it until now and didn't leave any of the Nirvana ashes for him.
It would be fine to let Snape take it, but Kyle is only thirteen years old. Can he understand such high-end goods?
What a waste.
Dumbledore sighed again.
