Chapter 316: Diverting the trouble

He is the top student in the fourth grade, handsome, gentle and patient... All these combined make him very famous among the students.

He had just walked less than a hundred meters out of the auditorium when five dwarfs came running towards him... The golden wings behind them swayed, which was inexplicably humorous.

"Hey, you! Cedric Diggory!" The dwarf running in the front used his arms to push the crowd aside and squeezed over here.

Cedric's hair stood up and he raised his legs to run, but before he could take two steps, the dwarfs caught up with him, kicking people's calves all the way.

There were three in front and two behind, blocking the road completely.

"I have a musical message to deliver to Cedric Diggory personally." A dwarf stepped out first and plucked the harp in an aggressive manner.

Cedric looked at the people gradually surrounding him and wanted to run away again... but his clothes were pulled by the dwarf and he couldn't move at all.

"Don't be here..." Cedric begged, "I'm going to be late for class!"

But the dwarf pretended not to hear him and shouted at the top of his voice: "Here is your Valentine's Day gift with singing...

His grey eyes were as fascinating as a shrunken fig that had just been squeezed, and his hair was as shiny and black as a crucible that had been used for thirty years. I wanted him to be mine, he was really handsome,

He is the perfect Hufflepuff."

There was no trace of blood on Cedric's face. He looked even paler than the legendary vampire.

He tried hard to make himself laugh with the others, but in the end only let out a dry groan.

Cedric thought that the dwarf's way of delivering messages might not be so friendly, but after actually seeing it, he found out that he was wrong.

This is not unfriendly at all, it's clearly a nightmare.

And there are four more nightmares like this...

Kyle was standing aside watching the fun, but Connor suddenly pulled his sleeve.

"Run away..."

"What?"

Kyle looked up and found that another dwarf was running towards him.

No more, no less, exactly seven.

And it seems that their target is not Cedric...

"Hey, Kai..."

"Flocks of birds!" Kyle's scalp tingled and he stretched out his magic wand almost instantly...

The cedar wand made a loud bang, and a group of birds flapped their wings and flew out from the end of the wand, surrounding the dwarves and blocking their view.

Without any hesitation, Kyle pulled Connor through the crowd and ran quickly back to the Hufflepuff common room.

After the barrel-shaped door slowly closed, Kyle sat back on a sofa, breathing heavily.

I'm not tired, I'm scared.

Kanna covered her mouth and laughed so hard that tears were about to come out.

"This is the first time I've seen you get so scared." She shrugged and said, "You didn't lose your composure like this the last time Oren tricked you into the Forbidden Forest."

“You don’t understand…”

Kyle wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said, "As long as I can make those dwarves disappear on the spot, I would rather go to the Forbidden Forest with Oren again."

"Puchi!" The little witch couldn't help but laughed out loud.

"Kanna, don't go too far." Kyle said unhappily, "I helped you, but maybe those dwarves are coming for you too."

Connor wrinkled her nose. When she thought of the dwarfs singing to her, "Your hair is like fried potatoes just out of the pan", her head started buzzing and her whole body felt cold.

"I warn you not to say anything. Those dwarves are always watching you." She couldn't help but say, "They are obviously looking for you. They have nothing to do with me!"

"Who can say for sure... I don't believe you can see the eyes of all the dwarves."

"I saw it!" Kanna said loudly. At this time, the door was opened again and Cedric came back with a look of relief on his face for surviving the disaster.

"Thanks to you, Kyle."

He slumped down on the sofa, "The birds distracted the dwarfs, and I took the opportunity to escape.

How horrible... If I pretend to be sick and go to the hospital ward, will Madam Pomfrey be able to tell?"

"Pretending to be sick won't work." Kyle shook his head. "If you really want to do that... I have some belladonna here. Do you want to have some?"

"Forget about Belladonna." Cedric thought for a moment and refused.

He just wanted to hide in the school hospital for a day, and it wasn't worth it to sacrifice half his life.

When the door of the Hufflepuff common room was opened again, Cedric walked out tremblingly.

There was only one invisibility cloak, and after some psychological struggle, Cedric finally decided to give it to Connor.

He glanced to the side and muttered quietly, "Kyle, does what you said really work?"

"Let's give it a try." The wall next to him shook slightly, and Kyle's voice came, "There are only twelve dwarves. As long as we keep them busy, things like that won't happen again."

Kyle’s method is very simple…if you can’t beat them, hide; if you can’t hide, join them.

Others can send them greeting cards, so why can't they send others? They don't have to sign their names anyway...

As long as others receive one more greeting card, they can receive one less.

“But who should we write to?”

Cedric was still a little hesitant. This method was good, but it was a bit too unethical and he felt a little embarrassed.

"Fred and George are great," Kyle said casually. "They love this kind of excitement the most. They can't wait to receive the greeting cards."

"And Lockhart...give him a hundred first."

"Also, Professor Snape is fine. He definitely won't receive any cards on Valentine's Day, so we can send him fifty to help him improve his reputation."

As he was speaking, a piece of arm suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hit Kyle.

"Okay, ten... and the rest will go to Lockhart."

After that, Kyle took out a stack of papers covered with words and distributed them to others.

These were what they had just made in the common room, and the contents were almost exactly the same.

"Add a name, and then ask the dwarf to send it out."

Cedric was still a little hesitant. "Are these copied greeting cards really okay? Or should we change the content?"

"No need." Kyle shook his head and explained, "Dwarves are usually the goblins' assistants when they make weapons. They are used to mechanical work and will do it even if the content on the paper is the same.

But you did remind me to stagger the names so that they have to make two more trips."
