Chapter 321: The Successor of the Village

The bed next to me was so quiet...

Madam Pomfrey also fell asleep. Kyle put on his shoes and clothes, tiptoed out of the school hospital, and came to the equally silent castle.

However, after Kyle arrived at the castle, he remembered that Professor McGonagall seemed to have said that Dumbledore was not in school today.

But it didn't matter, he met Professor McGonagall on the third floor.

Professor McGonagall was very angry about seeing Kyle in the castle.

"You should be in the school hospital...not hanging around here!"

"Professor McGonagall, I know where the Chamber of Secrets is!" Kyle said quickly, "Its entrance is in Myrtle's bathroom, under the faucet that doesn't work."

"What?" Professor McGonagall looked at Kyle in surprise, then immediately reacted.

"You wait here and are not allowed to go anywhere."

She waved her wand and out popped a transparent tabby cat, her Patronus.

Professor McGonagall said something to the tabby cat, and then it jumped nimbly up the stairs and disappeared in a few flashes.

During this process, Kyle did not wait patiently.

In fact, when Professor McGonagall summoned the Patronus, he had already left through a secret passage behind him.

Kyle knew that the professors would definitely not let him go with them to the secret room, but he had to go.

I don’t know if it’s because of that strange dream, but since coming to the third floor, Kyle has had this idea in his mind, and it’s becoming stronger and stronger.

Kyle came out from the other side of the secret passage, identified the direction, and quickly came to Myrtle's bathroom.

All the "exploding textbooks" that had been placed here disappeared inexplicably, but Kyle no longer cared about that.

He used the snake language to open the entrance to the secret room and said to the surprised Myrtle beside him: "The professors will be here soon. Remember to tell them that the secret room is below."

"You..."

Myrtle seemed to say something, but Kyle didn't hear it.

He had jumped into the pipe and was sliding down rapidly.

Kyle felt a sticky feeling on his back and regretted it a little.

Why didn't he use the broomstick just now...

Soon, Kyle returned to the ground, walked quickly through the damp and dark tunnel, and came to the door of the final secret room.

The strange thing is that after coming here, the buzzing sound in Kyle's head disappeared and he returned to normal.

He spoke snake language again towards the entrance of the secret room.

"Open!"

The stone wall split in the middle, slowly sliding to the sides and disappearing...

The Chamber of Secrets looked no different from before, but Kyle noticed that there was a black diary at the feet of the Slytherin statue.

"I didn't expect it to be you." A voice said softly.

Kyle was not surprised and turned to look in the direction where the sound came from.

A tall boy was leaning against the nearest stone pillar, looking at him. The boy looked to be about fifteen or sixteen years old, dark-skinned, with thin lips and a handsome appearance.

At first glance, he looks a bit like Cedric.

"Tom Riddle."

"It's me." Riddle nodded. "Long time no see, my... good friend?"

He walked over, "I've always wondered who would be the first to find the location of the Chamber of Secrets... Dumbledore? Harry Potter? I didn't expect it to be you."

"Surprising?" Kyle asked.

"No." Riddle said with interest, "You are just like me back then, smart and thoughtful... It's not surprising that you can find the location of the secret room."

"Don't flatter yourself." Kyle sneered, "I'm in the third grade now, and I've won two awards for special contributions to the school, as well as the Order of Merlin, Second Class Medal.

As for you, you only received the Special Contribution Award for the school in the fifth grade...tsk tsk."

There was finally a slight change on Riddle's face, and he was no longer as calm as before.

"I said, those things are not important, only power is everything!"

That was Ron's wand.

"We are one in the same, Kyle, and those filthy mudbloods don't deserve to sit in the same classroom with you."

Riddle extended his hand. "Follow me. Under the witness of the great Salazar Slytherin, I promise you that we can change the world and usher in a new and glorious era for the wizarding world."

Kyle looked at the wand in his hand that was faintly pointed at him and narrowed his eyes. "I only have one question, how did you get out?"

"To be honest, I don't know either." Riddle smiled strangely and continued to stare at Kyle.

"I was still trying to gain your trust... but one day, I suddenly found myself leaving that place where I couldn't feel any magic, and I met another person.

Although that person is timid and cowardly, and doesn’t even dare to take off that dirty disguise, he is much more naive than you and easily opened his soul to me..."

"Look, with his help, I have become much better."

"Who is it?" Kyle asked again.

"You are my future servant..." Riddle said casually, "Now, it's your turn to answer my questions.

Although you have deceived me before, I don't mind, as long as you are willing to follow me... I will forgive everything that happened before."

"Hmm..." Kyle stroked his chin, "Can I think about it?"

"Of course." Riddle said nonchalantly, "I have closed the entrance to the secret room you left in the bathroom. No one will disturb us in the short term."

"Yeah, that's really..."

Without warning, Kyle raised his wand.

A row of sharp stone spikes grew out from under Riddle's feet and pierced his body.

But Riddle didn't care.

"What a shame, I thought you would agree."

Kyle smiled and said, "If I said that I just slipped, would you believe me?"

"What do you think?" Riddle looked at Kyle with a ferocious expression, "Crucio!"

"God's sword has no shadow!"

Two beams of light, one red and one white, collided in the air, then changed directions and landed in different places.

The white light flashed across the pillar next to it, leaving a deep cut on it.

Riddle looked at the pillar in surprise.

"This level of dark magic, and the silent spell before... Among the young wizards of this age, you are the strongest I have ever seen.

I am a little reluctant to kill you."

Although he said that, the grim smile on his face became more obvious.

"The game ends here. Let me show you my true power. The power of Salazar Slytherin!"

Riddle turned, facing the Slytherin statue's face, opened his mouth and made a hissing sound.

"Speak to me..."

"Speak to me..."

Two voices sounded at the same time.

The sudden change made Riddle subconsciously turn his head.

However, during this pause, Kyle had already finished reciting the snake language.

"Speak to me, Slytherin...the greatest of the Hogwarts Four!"

"You...you...this is impossible!"

For the first time, a look of fear appeared on Riddle's face. He turned around and shouted, "Damn it, how do you know how to summon a basilisk!"

"Because I am the real heir of Slytherin." Kyle showed Lockhart's signature smile, "You fake knockoff."
