Chapter 329 Ron's Brain Circuit

Today was not the weekend, he still had to go to class later, and Dumbledore seemed to have other more important things to do. Kyle had just opened the door and had no time to walk out when he and Fawkes disappeared into the office first.

As for the box containing the basilisk...it was placed in its original place, unmoved.

But Kyle had no intention of taking it away, so he closed the door and left.

Overnight, the castle was completely transformed. Even on the eighth floor, Kyle could faintly hear the cheers coming from the sky.

Everyone seemed to be celebrating the fact that the secret room had been solved.

While on the stairs, Kyle also met Harry.

He had previously tried to sneak into the principal's office with the professors, but was discovered by Professor McGonagall.

"Kyle, you're finally here." Harry waved.

Kyle walked over and said, "Class is about to start, why are you still here... The professors are not planning to celebrate by giving us a holiday."

"I know, something happened, I met Mr. Malfoy."

Harry grinned, "Besides, Dobby wanted to thank you anyway."

A house-elf popped its head out from behind him.

"Sir, you have freed Dobby!" it said excitedly, its voice sharp and a little piercing, "Dobby has become a free elf!"

"What happened? I don't remember what I did." Kyle smiled and said, "I only know that you caught a diary with a glove on it."

Dobby's face suddenly broke into a smile, "That's it, the master gave Dobby a piece of clothing, Dobby is free!"

"Congratulations." Kyle fumbled in the shapeshifting lizard skin bag and pulled out a few licorice candies from the corner. "I didn't bring anything with me, so consider these as gifts."

"This is all because of you, sir!" Dobby took the licorice candy in a hurry, almost crying, "You not only saved Dobby, but also gave Dobby a gift... You are as great as Harry Potter!"

"Don't say that. I really didn't do anything." Kyle shook his head repeatedly. "It's all Mr. Malfoy's fault. If he had caught the diary the first time, there wouldn't have been any problem with the gloves."

"No, sir..."

They were now on the stairs to the eighth floor.

Dobby kept thanking Kyle, but Kyle kept refusing and refused to acknowledge the credit.

Harry, who was standing by, saw all of this and admired Kyle even more.

He is good at studying, capable, and humble... No wonder so many people like him.

Kyle didn't know what Harry was thinking. He just felt that Dobby was a little too persistent, so he simply changed the subject and asked, "Dobby, what are your plans for the future?"

Hearing this, Dobby really stopped thanking him and said happily, "Sir, Dobby wants to find a paid job."

"Not a bad idea." Kyle looked at it, thought for a while and said, "If you need help, you can come to St. Catchpole Village to find me during the holidays."

Dobby's eyes lit up and he asked excitedly, "Sir, do you want to give Dobby a job?"

"If you need it."

"Dobby is willing to work for sir!"

"Not for me." Kyle shook his head. He was always at school, and Chris and Diana were rarely at home, so they didn't need a house-elf.

He wanted Dobby to go to Newt.

Newt is almost a hundred years old. Although he has no problem with his daily life, he is obviously overwhelmed when it comes to taking care of those magical animals. If he had a house-elf to help him, it would probably make things a lot easier for him.

The Weasley family is also a good choice. Dobby doesn't need much compensation and they can afford it.

After Kyle explained the situation, Dobby immediately said it was okay and they could go anywhere.

"Sir's friends must be kind people. Dobby is willing to work for them."

"Oh well."

I think he went to apply for a job.

After Dobby disappeared, Harry asked curiously, "Did you write the address of the Burrow?"

"Yes." Kyle nodded.

The two walked down the stairs and prepared to go to class.

On the way, Harry was hesitating, as if he wanted to say something.

He always felt in his heart that Dobby was not suitable for the Burrow.

Although Ron once said that Mrs. Weasley did always want to have a house-elf, he could see that Mrs. Weasley actually enjoyed taking care of her family.

When Dobby goes over there, he will probably steal her fun.

But before he could decide whether to say this, he saw Ron running towards him.

"You're okay!" Harry came forward in surprise.

"Professor McGonagall said that I was attacked by the petrification curse, not the monster in the Chamber of Secrets. She has just helped me remove the curse."

Ron looked a little frustrated. "What a shame... I mean, if I could lie down for a few more days, I wouldn't have to take the exam."

Kyle paused for a moment, almost thinking he had heard it wrong.

Good man, you would rather be attacked than take the exam?

Ron's way of thinking is indeed different from others.

By the evening, Hagrid had returned and Hogwarts held a grand banquet.

Fred and George bought all of Zorko's fireworks and the celebrations continued late into the night.

“It’s awesome, it doesn’t get any better than this.”

Ron, his mouth full of chicken legs, mumbled, "And we're going to have an elf at home, too. I'm sure its cooking skills will be much better than Mom's."

Harry opened his mouth.

He wanted to say that Mrs. Weasley's cooking was better than the school's, but the explosion of fireworks just drowned out his words.

Harry looked at the excited expression on Ron's face and the thoughts from the morning came back to him.

Would Mrs. Weasley really let Dobby stay?

Actually, Harry was right.

A month before the holiday, Kyle received a letter from Mrs. Weasley.

Mrs. Weasley told him in the letter that ever since Dobby came, she was so idle that she was almost going moldy. She could not do anything every day. She even had to water the potatoes in the garden secretly for fear of making any noise.

"I can only water the potatoes now," she wrote. "I can't even dig up the rotten potatoes and plant new seeds... because by the time I made this decision, the elves had already done all the work."

Mrs. Weasley regretted it, and wanted to ask Kyle if there was any safe way to fire it without hurting Dobby.

In response, Kyle could only express his apologies in his reply and comfort Mrs. Weasley, asking her to hold on for another month.

When school was over, he would take Dobby to Newt.

Mrs. Weasley agreed.
