Chapter 345 Rescue and Tree Net

Later in the evening, Charlie came over. He looked more tired than the others, and his face looked as ugly as an overcooked cabbage.

“I flew for over thirty hours!”

While eating dinner, Charlie couldn't help muttering, "And we have to keep an eye on the fire dragons to avoid being bitten in half or knocked away by them.

I think all the Quidditch players should come here for special training. Riding a broomstick and shuttling between seven or eight dragons is much more useful than training on the field."

"I just want to play Quidditch, not risk my life..." Kyle laughed, "And the reserve probably won't agree to that."

"Yeah, you're right, what a shame, they missed a great training opportunity."

Seeing Charlie's listless look, Kyle handed him a mint-flavored exploding candy.

"Would you like some? Although it's not as good as a sobering potion, it should be able to make you more alert."

"Thanks, that's exactly what I needed." Charlie took the mint.

After a while, a muffled sound came from his mouth, and his whole face swelled up, looking like an oversized toad.

Charlie shivered all over and rubbed his face with his hands.

"Much better." He took a few deep breaths. "It's amazing. What I disliked most before was mint candy."

“Tastes change all the time,” Kyle said.

Charlie raised his eyebrows and smiled: "So, you will like licorice candy in the future?"

"Let's forget about this!" Kyle said immediately.

"What a pity! You missed out on such a delicious treat."

The Weasley children are all big fans of liquorice candy, including Harry. On the train, one of the indispensable snacks for him and Ron is the liquorice wand.

So usually, Kyle would pick out the licorice candies he received and give them to them as extra gifts on different days... such as Christmas or birthdays.

Oh, and now...

Because he still needed to patrol the reserve at night, Charlie left shortly after dinner.

Kyle gave him a big bag of candy.

Although there are wizard gathering places and shops near the Fire Dragon Sanctuary in Romania, there are more things like various wines, minerals, potions and magic props.

The candies that are everywhere in school are now a rare commodity here.

It’s not that they don’t have them, it’s just that it’s quite troublesome to buy them once. Not only do they need to be delivered by Owl from far away, but the variety and taste are much worse than those of Bee Duke.

After Charlie left, Kyle returned to the tent.

There are quite a few people here, including Newt.

There was no sign of fatigue on their faces anymore. They sat together and chatted happily, just like they did a few days ago.

The topics are all related to magical animals, ranging from the experience of treating dragons to the postpartum care of Tebo warthogs.

Kyle stood beside Newt without saying a word, and learned a lot of useful little-known facts.

Even Professor Lockneil said that when he was in the Barisan Mountains, he accidentally discovered a new magical animal, which was huge and had four arms.

Before coming to Romania, he had already sorted out the relevant information and pictures, and it would not take long for them to be published.

Everyone showed great interest, and Newt was also somewhat interested. It was obvious that he really wanted to go to that place and take a look.

Of course, this has to wait until Lockneil publishes the relevant information.

Everyone stayed at the venue for three full days before the surroundings became lively again.

Kyle and Newt returned to the same hill.

The area they were responsible for was discussed before they came. Probably to take Newt's age into consideration, this place was a little farther away from the highest cliff and was much safer.

Just a bit boring...

It was still a melee that lasted for several days.

But this time, the number of failed fire dragons was significantly higher than before, and Kyle could hear that hissing sound almost every day.

But there are exceptions.

The next day, a Romanian ceratosaurus was exhausted and was hit on the head by the Ukrainian Ironbelly's tail. Then its eyes rolled back and it fell straight from mid-air.

The location was right near the hill where Kyle and Newt were.

I don’t know if it didn’t hear the sound of surrender or if it was hit too hard, but the Ukrainian iron belly circled in the air for a while and then dived down.

Newt frowned and quickly Apparated to the Romanian dragon's side. He put his wand to its throat and made a series of short sounds, trying to convey its surrender.

But it was no use, the sound he made was very different from that of the fire dragon, in other words, his accent was very heavy.

Under normal circumstances, the Ukrainian Iron Belly might have understood what this meant, but now it was clearly a little too excited and couldn't hear Newt and Kyle at all.

"This is trouble!" Newt's face turned serious.

If it were allowed to rush down, its weight of nearly six tons alone would be enough to crush the unfortunate Romanian ceratosaurus to death.

Moreover, he couldn't use most of the spells that prevented this method.

Because that would cause damage to Ukraine's iron belly and affect its subsequent battles.

As mentioned before, human wizards cannot participate in battles between fire dragons, no matter what the reason.

"It's foggy!"

There was no other way, so Newt could only create a thick fog around him to try to block its sight. Then he swung his wand and pushed the Romanian horned dragon on the ground forward for a distance.

Kyle also cast a softening spell and a swamp spell on the ground beneath it, which should have some cushioning effect.

Almost at the same time.

The surrounding big trees suddenly stretched out, as if they had turned into huge and thick "ropes", stretching into the fog and interweaving into a huge net.

“Crack…”

With a sound like firecrackers that made your teeth ache, the "tree ropes" were broken one after another, but new ones would soon be added.

Finally, the Ukrainian Iron Belly came to a stop less than two feet from the ground.

Its claws were almost touching the tail of the Romanian ceratosaurus. If it really fell, there would probably be another tailless dragon in the Fire Dragon Reserve.

The Ukrainian Iron Belly struggled for a while and gradually woke up. It roared in dissatisfaction, then broke free from the tree net that blocked its way and flew up again.

"It was so close, just a little bit." A familiar voice came from behind.

Chris put away his wand and walked towards the two of them. He was the one who made the tree net.
