Chapter 356 Dementors

The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and the area outside the car window turned into a watery gray. Before we knew it, the sky had turned completely dark.

The door of the box was opened again, and Fred and George took advantage of the dim light to tiptoe in.

"Percy isn't here..." George asked.

"No." Cedric looked at the two of them and asked curiously, "It's been so long, he's not going to let you go? It's just a change of badge, it shouldn't be such a big grudge."

"It should be said that he never caught us." George closed the door and turned around and said, "We watched him go around the train several times."

"You must be kidding." Cedric's first reaction was disbelief. He thought they just didn't want to admit it for the sake of face.

The train is this big, with an aisle running from the front to the back, without even a turning space in the middle, and there is glass on the compartment doors so you can see what's going on inside.

Percy would surely find them if he just had to be patient.

Kyle thought so too.

"Did you learn the Disillusionment Charm?" he asked. "Or did you borrow Harry's Invisibility Cloak?"

"Neither." George sat next to Cedric and said proudly, "We hid in the snack cart. The bottom was empty and there was a partition that was just big enough for two people to hide."

"Percy walked past us three times and didn't notice."

"He even stopped to buy a few things once, a liquorice wand, and a cauldron cake."

"We recognized his shoes..."

"So, you've been hiding in the dining car until now?" Qiu looked at the time and asked in disbelief, "Oh my God, it's been five hours."

The food cart that holds snacks is not very big, about the same size as the table in the private room.

Two people, squatting under the table for five hours... Honestly, if it were her, she would rather be beaten by Percy.

"Of course not," said Fred. "When the snack car completes its circuit, it stops at the front, where the driver's car is, and that's where we stay."

As he spoke, the lights in the aisle and on the luggage rack suddenly lit up.

The dim light illuminated the carriage, making it seem even darker outside the window.

"We should be almost there," Ginny asked.

"Almost." Qiu said, "There is still an hour left."

"I really hope it can be quick." Fred touched his stomach, "I'm starving. I really want to attend the party as soon as possible..."

As soon as he finished speaking, the train suddenly began to slow down.

"The wish came true?" Fred stood up in surprise and put his face against the window, trying to see what was happening outside.

"That's impossible!" Qiu checked the time again, "There's still an hour before we arrive."

"Maybe the driver wanted us to have dinner quickly, so he increased the speed of the train," George said with a smile.

"No George, I don't think the train is speeding up."

Fred, who was lying on the window, raised his head. "Outside is not the familiar Hogsmeade platform. It's a completely unfamiliar place."

The train was getting slower and slower, the sound of the wheels gradually faded away, and the sound of wind and rain hit the windows louder than before.

With a "click", the train suddenly stopped as if it had been braked.

A large box was thrown off the shelf and almost hit Luna on the head.

"I'm the president of the student union. Everyone go back to your box and don't panic!" Percy's voice came from outside.

But at this time, the title of student union president seemed a little insufficient.

Especially after all the lights went out for no apparent reason, the train instantly fell into panic, with screams rang out one after another.

"Do you feel that the weather seems to be a little cold?"

Fred rubbed his arms and pointed to the window and said, "Look here."

I don't know when, but a thin layer of ice had formed on the glass.

"It's September now!" Cedric frowned.

It freezes in September and we won’t be able to survive winter.

"It should be the Dementors..." Kyle looked at the looming figures outside, "They are probably here to check if there is Black in the car."

"No, it's impossible..." Ginny curled up in the corner and said tremblingly: "Those monsters in Azkaban? How could they appear on the train? Headmaster Dumbledore would definitely not allow it..."

"I guess Kyle is right."

Qiu, who had been looking outside, suddenly turned pale. She saw the figure in a tattered cloak floating in the air like a ghost at the end of the dark corridor.

"One on each side..." Qiu quickly stepped back, "They are checking the carriage!"

The carriage suddenly fell into silence.

Children who grew up in wizarding families have all heard of the name Dementors to some extent.

But they had never imagined that they would encounter these monsters on the train to Hogwarts.

It would be a lie to say I wasn't nervous.

Kyle took the initiative and walked to the front.

He gently shook his wand, and a silver-white light soon appeared at the tip of the wand.

This light is much dimmer than the illumination spell, but softer and has a larger range.

She found that the surroundings seemed not so cold all of a sudden.

But now is not a good time to ask questions, so I didn't say anything.

Soon, one of the Dementors arrived at the box where they were.

They could even clearly hear the gurgling sound coming from each other's throats.

It was just a meaningless sound to everyone else, but Kyle heard it with another meaning.

[Brian... Blacka... No, it's Brakai...]

It kept repeating a name off and on, but it couldn't remember it and it said it differently each time.

What stands out is that his IQ is not very high.

But this is normal, after all, they don't even have brains.

It stood at the door of the box, stretched out a gray, sinister hand and hooked it gently...

The door of the box slowly opened.

But the light in the room also spread out and just swept over it.

The Dementor immediately shook off his hand and his body began to retreat unconsciously, clinging tightly to the carriage behind.

"There's no one here," Kyle said. "None of us has Blake hidden under our robes. Let's go."

The ragged hooded head turned toward Kyle and again made a gurgling sound.

[I want to... check... the order...]

"No, I repeat, there is no Blake here!"

Kyle waved his wand again, and the white light around him became brighter.

The Dementor struggled again, and it looked like it was covered in dung balls. It was very uncomfortable and a bit helpless...

But despite this, it stubbornly did not leave the box.

[Check...command...]

“Go!”

[No... go...]

"Walk!"

[I won’t leave…]

Kyle's mouth twitched.

Somehow, he suddenly felt a little guilty about bullying the weak... But the weak here does not refer to strength, but IQ.

"This is really ridiculous," Kyle muttered.

The white light around them gradually shrank, and finally formed a hazy cloud, covering Kanna and the others.

"Inspection only." Kyle pointed his wand at the Dementor and warned, "If you dare to do anything else, or absorb any emotion, I will kick you out."

[Order... Check... Don't eat...]

The white light disappeared, and the Dementors floated up again, entered the box and took a deep breath.

Everyone suddenly felt a chill, but it was just cold.

[No...Bonline...taste...]

The next second, the Dementor quickly left the box, turned around and floated away.

"Yes, Blake." Kyle couldn't help but remind him as he closed the door.

[Black... Blacka...]

“…”

Sure enough, this guy has a low IQ and he remembered it wrong again in less than a second. I don’t know if all Dementors are like this or if he just met a fool.

At this moment, there was a sudden commotion in the originally quiet corridor.

Kyle vaguely heard someone screaming...

"Harry!"

"Professor, Harry fainted!"

“Help, help…”

It was Ron's voice, and Hermione's voice, and the last one seemed to be Neville's...

Then, a silver light appeared in the corridor again.

The Dementor that had just left subconsciously wanted to retreat back into the box, but Kyle had already closed the door by then.

On one side was the tightly closed door of the box, and on the other side was the silver light that was getting closer and closer. Kyle didn't know if it was an illusion, but he actually saw a trace of helplessness in this Dementor.
