Chapter 403 Cedric's Suspicion

Many people were disappointed to hear that the club was only open once a month... they had thought it was once a week.

But before they could say anything, Professor McGonagall glanced over and everyone immediately shut up and walked out of the hall in silence.

Kyle and his companions walked along the corridor. After turning a corner, Cedric suddenly asked:

"Do you think that if I go to Professor Lupin, he will let me face the Dementors alone?"

"I don't know." Kyle shook his head and said, "But I think if you really want to do that, you'd better go find him as soon as possible. Maybe by tomorrow, the Dementors will no longer be in the castle.

You know, neither Headmaster Dumbledore nor Professor McGonagall like those guys... The one in the Great Hall is used purely as a teaching aid."

"That's true." Cedric patted his head, "I won't wait until tomorrow, I'll go now..."

After saying that, he started running back.

The others separated at the staircase and returned to the common room.

Kyle noticed that Kanna hadn't spoken a word and looked very conflicted. She kept looking back in the direction of the auditorium.

"Do you also want to see Professor Lupin?" Kyle asked.

Kanna nodded, then shook her head.

She really wanted to have her own patronus as soon as possible, but she didn't want to face the Dementors... or rather, the original intention of her learning this spell was to prevent herself from being affected by the Dementors.

There were some things that Kanna really didn't want to experience again... like her Animagus rat in first grade.

She had almost forgotten about it, but the last time the Dementors appeared on the Quidditch field, she remembered the "resurrection" scene in the Forbidden Forest, and she felt so uncomfortable that she couldn't eat for several days.

Now whenever she sees a mouse she wants to kick it and she is almost suffering from psychological trauma.

Connor shook her head again and made up an excuse: "I'm just worried about Cedric. Do you think he can succeed?"

"It should be possible," Kyle said, "but only if the professors agree."

Cedric is now only one step away. If he can't take it himself, asking someone else to kick him is a good idea.

Dementors are perfect for the job, and they can kick pretty far.

The two walked into the common room and found a seat near the fireplace.

It's very late now, but there are still a lot of people here. Everyone is discussing what happened in the club with great interest and has no intention of going to sleep.

Connor glanced at Kyle, who was roasting sausages in the fireplace, and asked in a low voice, "Besides Dementors, are there any other ways to help learn the Patronus Charm?"

"Yes." Kyle flipped the sausages on the tongs. "Patronuses can influence each other. A real Patronus can mobilize and deepen those happy emotions, making the process of learning this spell more efficient."

Connor blinked, "Then why didn't you tell Cedric before."

"He didn't ask." Kyle said matter-of-factly, "I thought he liked Dementors."

"Who would like that kind of thing..." Kanna said speechlessly.

"It's hard to say. Everyone has some quirks." Kyle flipped the tongs again and continued, "And most importantly, this method is more suitable for beginners to simplify the process. Cedric has passed this stage and is at the last step.

"If he doesn't find the trick, it won't help even if he has a hundred patronuses around him every day. In this case, the Dementors will help him much more than the Patronuses."

"What about me..." Kanna asked in a low voice: "Will this method work?"

"Okay," Kyle said. "It's too late today. How about tomorrow? We can go to the Room of Requirement."

"Yeah." Kanna responded softly.

By this time, the aroma of grilled sausages had attracted quite a few people, so the two stopped talking about this topic.

The Patronus Charm is a difficult spell, and after two hours of training, many people were hungry.

The rich smell of grilled sausages made them salivate.

Bread, pumpkin juice, pies... and whole roast chickens and big steaks.

This brings us to the advantages of Hufflepuff.

While others can only go to bed hungry, they can have a hearty midnight snack in a short time.

And you don’t have to worry about getting caught while swimming at night.

The kitchen was right next door, so unless the professor or Filch was guarding the door, there was no way they could be caught.

Soon, the sausages were grilled.

Kyle got a fork and handed Connor a slightly burnt sausage.

Kanna took it with shining eyes and took a bite.

"How is it, is it cooked?"

"Yeah." Kanna nodded repeatedly, "It's delicious."

"That's good." Kyle then took one as well.

Kanna blinked, feeling that something was wrong, but the constant fragrance coming from her nose made her quickly forget about it.

After a while, Cedric came back.

As soon as he walked in, he was hit in the face by all kinds of smells.

"Any more? Give me one too!" He walked over to Kyle and snatched a sausage without saying a word, then took some toast from another table.

"Is it done so quickly?" Kyle asked.

Cedric shook his head, "No, I came straight back."

"Because of Professor McGonagall?" Connor said. "Does she still not want you to come in contact with the Dementors?"

"No, Professor McGonagall had already left when I got there. It was Professor Lupin who seemed a little unwell."

Cedric said, "I waited at the door of the Great Hall until everyone had left, and was about to go in when I saw Professor Snape handing him a large potion and saying that he needed that."

"Professor Lupin is sick again?" Connor asked.

In the first half of the school year alone, Professor Lupin had asked for leave twice, once with Professor Snape taking his place, and once with Professor McGonagall.

And according to Qiu, they, Ravenclaw, also missed several Defense Against the Dark Arts classes.

"That should be the case... He finished all the medicine."

Cedric said, "And if you look closely, he does look a little worse than usual. I felt it was a little inappropriate to let him come in contact with the Dementors at this time, so I just came back."

"It's okay, you can go see him in a few days," Kyle said, "or wait until the club starts next month."

"That's the only way."

Cedric put down the pumpkin juice in his hand and said thoughtfully: "Do you find it strange why Professor Lupin didn't look for Madam Pomfrey...

I mean, she was there, and she was probably more professional than Professor Snape."

"Maybe Madam Pomfrey has other things to do," Connor said.

"Maybe..." Cedric said quietly as he took another sip of pumpkin juice.
