Chapter 416 Surprise

"I'm sorry..." Hermione whispered.

Just now when she banged the table, Madam Pince happened to come back from putting away the books.

Like most students who made noise in the library, both were kicked out.

"I don't mind." Kyle shrugged. "I didn't plan to stay in the library all the time. Now it just so happens that... I want to go find Hagrid. What about you? Do you want to come with me?"

"No." Hermione thought for a moment, shook her head and said, "I plan to look through the magic book again and make up for all the time I wasted before."

"That's fine," Kyle said, "but remember, don't use the time turner recklessly, otherwise your condition will only get worse."

"good……"

The two separated at the stairs.

Kyle returned to the first floor, walked through the hall, and followed the grounds to Hagrid's cabin.

The cabin is quite lively today. In addition to Connor and the others, Harry and Ron are also there.

Several people gathered together, discussing something excitedly.

When Kyle got closer, he found that there was a nest made of hay on the table between them.

There was also an animal that looked like a little lion lying inside, but its tail was hooked and looked like a scorpion's tail.

"A human-headed, lion-bodied, scorpion-tailed beast?" Kyle asked in surprise.

"You knew it as soon as I guessed it." Hagrid said happily, "A few days ago, I found a manticore giving birth deep in the Forbidden Forest. I guess it must have come here recently from somewhere else.

After all, there has never been such a creature in the Forbidden Forest before."

Hagrid was laughing happily, and couldn't help teasing the little guy lying in the hay nest with his hands. He didn't care even if his finger was bitten.

"Look how happy it is," said Hagrid, with a fascinated look on his face.

For Hagrid, finding a man-headed sphinx in the Forbidden Forest was like accidentally digging up treasure. He was so excited that he couldn't sleep for several days and stayed in the depths of the Forbidden Forest day and night.

The last time he was this excited was when he became professor of Care of Magical Creatures.

"So Hagrid, are you going to bring it to class?" Kyle asked.

"Of course not..." Hagrid shook his head repeatedly. "The Manticore is a 5X-level magical creature. Professor Dumbledore would definitely not agree to it appearing in front of the students, even if it's just a cub."

Kyle nodded.

The man-headed, lion-bodied, scorpion-tailed beast is indeed not suitable to appear in the classroom. Although it is still small now and even if it bites you, it will only cause some bleeding at most, but the problem is that there is a bigger one in the Forbidden Forest.

If someone were to act without restraint and make it angry, it would roar and perform a summoning spell, which would be really fun.

Especially those in Slytherin, they rarely care about what Hagrid says. Half of the troubles encountered in the Care of Magical Creatures class were caused by them, and the remaining half were also related to them.

When the time comes, facing an angry adult mantis, even Hagrid won't be able to protect too many people.

"I brought it here this time just to broaden your horizons..." Hagrid continued, "After all, this is a rare opportunity. You won't be able to see the cubs of 5X magical animals anywhere else."

Hearing this, Kyle raised an eyebrow.

That's not right. Not only had he seen it, he had also delivered a baby.

The little leopards in Newt's box were all very respectful when they saw him, almost calling him uncle.

Also, when he was in Romania, he watched a nest of Hungarian Horntails hatch.

He just didn't say it.

"No, Ron," Hagrid said seriously, "I just told you that you can only stand there. It's okay if you get closer, but you must not touch it. This is also for your safety."

"Okay." Ron curled his lips, feeling a little regretful.

This is a 5X magical creature. If he could touch it, he would be able to brag about it for a long time.

Because of the incident of Black breaking into the Gryffindor dormitory, Ron was in the spotlight for several days. For the first time in his life, he received more attention than Harry.

He really likes this feeling.

But now people are more concerned about Professor Lupin's gossip, and no one wants to hear him talk about his adventures.

"But Hagrid..." At this time, Connor asked doubtfully: "Didn't you say in your letter that you wanted us to help choose the magical animals to be displayed in class?"

"Oh, that was just a surprise for you. In fact, I have already chosen the magical creatures you will learn about in class."

Hagrid smiled and said, "The fire crabs and the air-winged birds are also young, if you want to see them you can go to the hut.

But be careful, be sure to close the door after entering...the breath of the Manticore will scare them."

No one moved... everyone's eyes were still on the little guy in the hay nest.

You can see the fire crab and the airbird anytime, there's no rush.

At this moment, Kyle suddenly felt someone poking his shoulder. He turned around and found it was Hagrid. He nodded and motioned for himself to come to the side.

Although Kyle didn't know what was going on, he followed him to the open space on the other side of the cabin.

"What's up?" Kyle asked.

"Oh, that's right..." Hagrid said awkwardly, "I overheard someone from Slytherin say a few days ago that you have dragon teeth for sale. Do you still have any?"

"Yes." Kyle nodded. He had a lot of that kind of stuff.

"Can you sell me some?" Hagrid whispered, and took out a cloth bag and put it in Kyle's hand, "Professor Dumbledore gave me an extra professor's salary, see how much you can get."

The cloth bag was very heavy, and there were probably several hundred Galleons in it.

Hagrid doesn't need to spend money on food and accommodation. At most, he goes to the Three Broomsticks or the Hog's Head to drink a few glasses of mead, and the rest is almost all here.

"This is... simple. Just wait a moment." Kyle ran into Hagrid's hut and closed the door.

When he came out again, he had another bag in his hand.

"Each type of fire dragon has two teeth and corresponding dragon scales."

Kyle stuffed these things, along with the cloth bag containing Galleons, into Hagrid's hands.

"You gave the wrong one," said Hagrid. "These Galleons are for you."

"Don't be ridiculous, Hagrid." Kyle smiled and waved his hand, saying, "I won't take your money."

"No!" Hagrid shook his head and insisted, "I've heard them say that you bought these things from Romania. If you insist on not accepting them, then I don't want them."

Having said that, Hagrid gritted his teeth and handed the thing back.
