Chapter 436 Dumbledore's Surprise

The Dementor floated away, swaying, and soon disappeared into the darkness.

Kyle turned around and found that everyone was looking at him in a very strange way.

"What's wrong?"

"Kyle, weren't you scared at all just now?" Harry exclaimed.

Because of the distance and the Patronus blocking the way, Harry did not hear the conversation just now. He just vaguely saw that Kyle seemed to have reached some kind of agreement with the Dementors.

But it was a Dementor. He would feel a chill all over his body just by getting close to it. Kyle actually dared to stand in front of it, and stayed there for so long...

"Why should we be afraid? This is Hogwarts," said Kyle.

"Is everything okay now?" Hermione couldn't help but ask.

"It's all right," said Kyle. "I told the Dementors that Sirius wasn't here, and they left."

Hermione nodded, breathing a sigh of relief.

First there was the werewolf, and then there were hundreds of Dementors. Now she felt her legs go weak and she just wanted to go back to the dormitory and have a good sleep.

But no, they had to go to Headmaster Dumbledore first.

Hermione turned to look at the werewolf entangled in the Devil's Snare, "How are we going to take it away? We can't just leave it here."

"Don't worry, we don't need to worry about this issue." Kyle turned his head and looked in the direction of the castle.

Perhaps the Dementors were making too much noise, and a large fiery red bird appeared in the air and was flying towards this side quickly.

It's Fox.

It folded its wings, landed on Kyle's shoulder, and tilted its head slightly, as if asking what happened.

"We have something to ask Professor Dumbledore." Kyle pointed at the werewolf wrapped like a dumpling and said softly, "Could you please take it over first?"

Fawkes nodded, flew over and grabbed the werewolf's head with his claws, then flew back to the castle again.

"Oh my god, was that a phoenix just now?"

As soon as Fawkes left, Hermione immediately covered her mouth and said in surprise: "I've seen it in a book. The phoenix above looks exactly like it."

"It's a phoenix," said Harry. "I saw it in the headmaster's office. I think its name was... Fawkes?"

"I'm more concerned about Professor Lupin..." Ron opened his mouth, "I don't know if you noticed that he was caught by the head and flew away. Is that really okay?"

"If they are in werewolf form, there will be no problem. Their bodies are much stronger than wizards." Kyle said, "Okay, let's go back quickly. Professor Dumbledore should be waiting."

Several people hurried towards the castle.

Sirius continued to remain in the form of a big dog and did not dare to change back.

The few people who returned to the castle did not meet Filch or the patrolling professors, and arrived at the eighth floor smoothly.

Perhaps he had been warned in advance, because when he saw them, the gargoyle stone beast in charge of guarding the gate jumped to the side, revealing the passage behind it.

Harry couldn't help but quicken his pace and walked in first. Sirius followed closely behind, but you could see that his hind legs were shaking constantly, which seemed to indicate that he was very nervous.

The oak door at the end of the stairs was also open, and Professor Dumbledore, wearing pink strawberry velvet pajamas, stood behind the desk.

"I think a lot of interesting things must have happened tonight, which caused so many of you to violate school rules collectively."

He smiled and asked, "Would you like some pumpkin juice before you tell these stories?"

"No thanks, professor." The three people walking in front all shook their heads.

Harry was in no mood, while Ron and Hermione shook their heads subconsciously because they were nervous.

"Can I have a lemonade?" Kyle said.

"Would you like some sugar?" asked Professor Dumbledore.

As soon as Kyle finished speaking, a glass of fresh lemonade appeared on the table next to him.

Kyle took it and took a sip. The sour taste sobered him up a lot.

Before Kyle finished his sip, Harry couldn't help but say, "Professor, Sirius Black was wrongly accused, and Peter Pettigrew was the real informer!"

"oh!"

Professor Dumbledore looked at him in surprise.

"Although I thought tonight's story would be exciting, I didn't expect your first sentence to be beyond my expectations."

"So, how did you find out?" he asked. "As far as I know, Peter Pettigrew has been dead for twelve years and has been awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class."

"That's fake, it's still alive!" Harry held up the cage he was holding tightly, "This is Peter!"

"It turned into a rat and hid in my house for twelve years." Ron added from the side with a sullen face, as if Scabbers' true identity was an insult to his personality.

Dumbledore turned his blue eyes to Scabbers.

Kyle also took out the Marauder's Map at the right time... In the principal's office, Peter Pettigrew's name was clearly displayed.

"Oh, I miss it so much." Dumbledore's eyes flickered. "I remember the last time I saw this map was fifteen years ago... Strange, shouldn't it be in Filch's office? Did I remember it wrong?"

Kyle took another sip of his lemonade and said nothing.

Fortunately, Dumbledore did not dwell on this matter, but motioned for Harry to continue.

"So how did you find Peter, because of this magical map?"

"Not entirely..." Harry shook his head and went on to recount what had happened, starting with Professor Lupin's visit to the Gryffindor common room.

During this time, Dumbledore did not ask any questions and just listened quietly.

Harry spoke very quickly and finished in about ten minutes.

"So, it is Sirius Black?" Dumbledore looked at the big black dog sitting on the floor, "Animagus... I see, no wonder no one has been able to find you."

The black dog barked and sat upright.

"He was forced to do so, Professor." Harry said quickly, "We all saw it, Scabbers... Peter kept banging his head against his wand. This can't be a normal pet, right?"

Dumbledore did not answer his question, but asked meaningfully: "Harry, you seem to believe what Sirius said. Have you ever thought that maybe he is lying to you?"

"I don't think he lied to me." Harry said without hesitation: "I can feel that what he said is true... and if he was lying, he would definitely not dare to come here with us, right?"

"First of all, I have to thank you for your trust in me, Harry."

Dumbledore said calmly, "But it's late now, and after all the thrilling things you've experienced, I suggest you go back to your dorm, have a cup of hot cocoa, and get some good sleep."

"Then Professor, Sirius Black..."

"Leave it to me, Harry." Dumbledore smiled. "If he is innocent, I promise to give you a satisfactory answer."

"Oh well……"

In fact, Harry had a lot to say, which was related to whether he could leave the Dursleys' house and go to a place where he didn't need to hide his magic books under the floor.

But since Dumbledore had said so, he could only nod and walk towards the door with Ron and Hermione.

"Good night then, Professor..."

The three of them left the principal's office one after another.

Kyle was following along, but just as he turned around, he heard Dumbledore say, "Kyle, can you wait a moment?"
