Chapter 509 Professor Lockneil

Sure enough, just as he guessed, there was a beautifully crafted broom inside.

Firebolt.

On the day Sirius was acquitted, he wanted to buy it and give it to Kyle, but Kyle refused at that time because there was no Quidditch match that year.

Unexpectedly, a few months later, he still bought it.

"Firebolt, who gave you this as a warrior's gift?" Cedric shouted excitedly, "We also have Firebolt, now... oh, no, there is no Quidditch game this year."

Cedric seemed a little lost, but he quickly cheered up.

Anyway, it's always good to have a Firebolt. They can use it next year. By then, he wants to see whether the Gryffindor...especially Fred and George, can continue to be so arrogant.

Mikel was also very excited. He looked at the Firebolt carefully, as if he was admiring a rare treasure.

"What a shame..." He muttered quietly, "It would be nice if we could bring a broom to the Triwizard Tournament."

Soon, everyone knew that Kyle had received a Firebolt.

But because they were all thinking about tomorrow's Triwizard Tournament, and because Harry had received a Firebolt last year and the novelty had worn off, this incident did not cause much of a stir.

Kyle took another look at the note written by Sirius and said nothing. He just put the Firebolt back in the dormitory and went to class.

However, what he didn't expect was that today's surprise was not just a fire crossbow.

The last class in the morning was Care of Magical Creatures. Hagrid got a large group of fire crabs from somewhere, and these creatures carrying gems quickly attracted everyone's interest.

While everyone was busy feeding lettuce to the fire crabs, Hagrid came to Kyle quietly.

He leaned down, pretending to observe the lettuce leaves on the ground, and said in a very low voice: "Come to my cabin to find me at midnight today. Remember not to be discovered by others."

Then Hagrid stood up and said loudly, "Well, Kyle, you have mastered the technique of feeding fire crabs." He winked and left.

"Why did Hagrid ask you to go find him?" Connor asked.

"He probably wants to show me something." Kyle said, "We can come together tonight...if you don't want to sleep."

"But is this okay?" Connor said, "What if someone finds out?"

"Don't worry." Kyle smiled and said, "At this time, the invisibility cloak will come in handy. I know the Disillusionment Charm, so I can hide myself well without that thing."

Kanna's eyes lit up and she nodded vigorously.

So that afternoon, Kyle gave the invisibility cloak to Connor. At eleven-thirty at night, Kyle used the Disillusionment Charm to quietly leave the dormitory, and then passed through the barrel door of the common room and came to the corridor outside.

He waited outside for a while, and after about a few minutes, the wooden barrel door next to him was opened a little again.

"Kanna?" Kyle asked in a low voice tentatively.

"It's me."

Suddenly, a head appeared in the air. Kanna said nervously, "How's it going? You haven't been discovered, have you?"

"No." Kyle said, "They did their homework until the early morning yesterday and went to bed at 11 o'clock today."

"Me too."

Connor then put on her invisibility cloak again, and the two of them went through the castle as planned.

It was pitch dark outside, and they walked along the field towards the light coming from Hagrid's hut.

However, they were not the only ones coming here tonight. The door of the cabin was half open, and Kyle could clearly hear the laughter and conversation coming from inside from a long distance away.

"Oh no, there's someone here." Kanna said nervously, "What should we do?"

"Let's wait and see." Kyle said, and the two took a few steps forward.

At this moment, Yaya's roar suddenly came from the hut.

The talking stopped and Hagrid walked out the door.

Then another person came out and asked in confusion, "Is anyone here?"

"No, there isn't." Hagrid looked around and said in a deliberately loud voice, "I think it should be a cat-kneazle. Fang likes to play with cat-kneazles in the Forbidden Forest."

"Kneazle, oh, this place is really interesting, I like the Forbidden Forest." The man raised his head and drank the contents of the cup in one gulp.

"Wait a minute, Lockneir." Hagrid called him, "I'm going to show you something great. You've never seen it before."

"What?"

"You'll know in a moment." Hagrid said mysteriously, "But we still have to call Ms. Maxime. I promised her."

The two walked towards the Beauxbatons carriage again. Along the way, Hagrid kept looking back, as if he was confirming something.

It was not until he felt a stone hit his arm that he felt relieved and quickened his pace to the carriage.

Not far behind the two, Kyle threw the remaining stones in his hand back to the ground and explained to Connor: "That person is Professor Locknier of Beauxbatons. We have met before."

Kyle was talking about the time he went to the Fire Dragon Sanctuary in Romania. Like Newt, Lockneil was an expert invited by the sanctuary.

At that time, Kyle made a lot of money from him using those badly damaged dragon scales.

"Are there other professors from Beauxbatons here?" Connor asked in confusion, "I thought it was only Madam Maxime."

"He must have just arrived," Kyle said. "After all, if he had been here from the beginning, he would have definitely shown up in the auditorium, but none of us had seen him before today."

As they were talking, Ms. Maxime came out. Just as Lockneel was about to step forward, Hagrid had already extended a hand and helped her down the golden steps.

The three then walked around the paddock where the Talisman Horse was and entered the Forbidden Forest.

Kyle and Connor were following them not too far behind, and their conversations could be heard occasionally.

"Hagrid, Lockneir, where are you taking me?"

"I don't know, Headmaster." Locknir said, "I was just about to go back to bed... To be honest, it's much colder here than Beauxbatons."

"If you go back now, you'll definitely regret it." Hagrid said hoarsely, with an undisguised excitement, "You'll like it, it's worth seeing, believe me, but... remember to keep it a secret, don't tell anyone, okay? You're not supposed to know."

"Of course not," said Madame Maxime.

"That's right."

The three of them continued walking forward, and after about half an hour, they had walked a long way around the Forbidden Forest. Looking back, neither Hagrid's hut nor the castle were visible.

Then we walked for another ten minutes.

"Did you hear anything?"

There were several men shouting loudly in front, and Kanna tilted her head to try to hear clearly what they were saying.

Then there was a deafening, shrill roar.

The three people in front immediately quickened their pace.

Kyle and Connor just trotted after them, and stopped only after they passed through a patch of bushes in front.

There was an open space in front of them, and Kanna couldn't help but let out a cry of surprise.

“Oh my God!”

Fortunately, there were shouting sounds everywhere and no one noticed that there were two people hiding here.

Kanna quickly lowered her voice and whispered, "That's a fire dragon!"

Kyle nodded, he had seen it.

Two adult, ferocious-looking dragons were locked in an enclosure made of thick wooden boards, roaring and snorting.

And there were not only fire dragons, but also a dozen strong dragon keepers who were desperately pulling the chains on the fire dragons, trying to subdue them.

"Could it be that the first task of the Triwizard Tournament is to deal with these fire dragons?" Kanna said with some concern.

"Honestly, I don't know either." Kyle frowned.

Although he had guessed that what Hagrid was going to take them to see was the dragon, he couldn't understand... why there were only two dragons here.

Yes, there were only two fire dragons in front of him... a Swedish short-nosed dragon and a Hungarian tree-peak, and there was not even a single extra dragon egg.

But there are three warriors in the Triwizard Tournament, how to divide the two dragons? (End of this chapter)
