Chapter 520 Sirius's Change

Before today, Kyle had never thought that Sirius would come to Hogwarts as a professor... and a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

No wonder he became the first Gryffindor in the Black family, he was so brave.

I just hope that at the end of the semester, he won't be imprisoned in Azkaban again for some inexplicable reason. Of course, Kyle wouldn't find it strange if that were the case.

Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts... a famous one-year position in the wizarding world, so it's not surprising that anything happens.

Professor Dumbledore is rejected every year because of this. The reason why his reputation has become worse and worse in recent years is closely related to this incident.

But Kyle soon realized that Sirius had probably been on Dumbledore's list for a long time. Even if he didn't come this year, he would probably be asked to be a professor later... After all, it was really difficult to recruit people for this position.

And given Sirius's personality, he would most likely not refuse.

After Sirius was introduced, the dinner was over.

Snape was the first to stand up, striding out of the hall with a gloomy face.

But when he passed by Sirius, he heard an undisguised sneer.

“Huh…”

Snape paused, turned around and looked at him coldly.

"Oh, isn't this our hero..." Snape said expressionlessly, "I thought you would hide at home and cry because of those who died because of you... Now it seems that I was wrong. Your feelings for Potter don't seem to be that deep."

"Shut up, you snotty guy." Sirius' expression quickly turned cold. "You should know very well who killed James and Lily... If you hadn't gone to tell your master..."

"Two professors."

Professor Dumbledore appeared at the right moment and interrupted the two people's confrontation.

He said with a headache: "I don't think the auditorium is a good place to chat. Do you want to have a cup of tea together? I just found a good black tea some time ago."

"No." Snape sneered, "I don't want to drink tea with the Dementor's lunch. The rotten smell will make me feel uncomfortable."

"Me too..." Sirius said without hesitation, "I would rather drink tea with a Dementor than sit opposite someone like you."

Dumbledore had an even greater headache. Although he had anticipated this happening, he did not expect that the two would become so hostile just after meeting.

Fortunately, their voices were not loud, and the auditorium was noisy, so the students did not hear what they said...

Cedric, who was organizing the junior students to line up, glanced in the direction of the teacher's seat and whispered, "Kyle, it seems that the relationship between Snape and Black is not very good."

"That's normal." Kyle said casually, "He has a bad relationship with all the Defense Against the Dark Arts professors... Don't glare at me, Connor, this is the fact.

"Think about it, from Oren in the first year, to Quirrell, Lockhart, Lupin... isn't it all like this?"

Kanna hesitated for a long time, and finally sighed helplessly.

Although Snape's relationship with other professors could not be said to be good, it was definitely not bad either. The only exception was the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor... Even if Snape just mentioned them, he would make sarcastic remarks. This was a fact, and even she could not refute it.

Fortunately, the topic was not continued, and after the seat in the front became vacant, the three of them returned to the common room with the lower grade students.

the next day.

"I watched your game that day."

"You are a professor now, you have to be careful about the impact," Kyle reminded.

"Yes, I'm a professor now..." Sirius said, "I never thought I could come back here as a professor... When Professor Dumbledore agreed to me, I thought I was dreaming."

Dreaming? If it were any other subject, maybe, but Defense Against the Dark Arts... Seriously, Dumbledore would have loved for someone to apply.

Having one more person can be used as a backup candidate. In case one of them can survive until the next school year, he won't have to be rejected again.

Kyle looked Sirius over.

He was wearing a brand new robe, and his hair, which had always been messy, was neatly combed and gathered at the back.

And after a period of recuperation, his complexion has improved a lot. His originally sallow complexion has become rosy, and you can vaguely see the handsomeness of his youth...

"Aren't you worried?" Kyle asked. "This position has always been a one-year job, without exception."

"I've thought about this question." Sirius said confidently, "I joined in the middle, and there's Alastor Moody ahead of me, so even if there's a curse, it won't fall on me...

And most importantly, the professors before all had their own problems and were forced to leave Hogwarts, but I didn’t, and the same goes for Professor Moody…

Besides, we both have pretty good skills, so even if we really encounter some Death Eaters, we can handle them."

Seeing his confident look, Kyle didn't say anything else.

After all, he might not listen even if I told him... So let it be.

"Have you seen Harry?" Kyle said.

"Ah, I saw it." Sirius couldn't help laughing, "We talked for a long time last night, and he even wanted to live in my office... Of course, I am definitely willing to do so, but I just came here today, and there is nothing in the office. I can't let him sleep on the stool.

"Then again, why didn't I realize that the furniture in Hogwarts was so old before? Those chairs look older than I am."

"It's always been like this." Kyle spread his hands.

The bad thing about Hogwarts is that if something is broken, it can be repaired with magic, there is no need to buy new ones... The school directors obviously won't spend such a large amount of extra money to buy a new set of desks and chairs for the school.

Afterwards, the two walked towards the auditorium together and talked about the Triwizard Tournament again.

"How's the second clue going?" Sirius asked, "If you need anything, you can come to me for help... But you have to come secretly and don't let others find you. The rules of the Triwizard Tournament prohibit professors from helping."

"There are still three months left, there's no rush... By the way, I haven't thanked you yet."

Kyle said, "That Firebolt was a big help. If it was my previous Nimbus 2000, I wouldn't be able to dodge twenty-nine Bludgers, let alone get rid of a dragon."

"It's a coincidence," said Sirius with a smile, "I originally wanted to give you a set of pure gold astrology ornaments as a warrior's gift, but Professor Dumbledore told me that you might prefer a broom... and the people in the Quidditch shop also said that the Nimbus 2000 has been out of date for a long time."

"Professor Dumbledore?" Kyle asked in surprise, "He suggested that you give me a broom?"

"Ah... yes." Sirius shrugged, "We met at the Ministry of Magic. I happened to be there to assist them in investigating Crouch's case that day.

"Luckily he said so. Look, it's now useful."
