Chapter 581 Cornelius Fudge

Originally, Chris was planning to return to the Ministry of Magic. After the Triwizard Tournament was over, as one of the referees, he still had a lot of finishing work to do... such as sending the magical creatures that had appeared in the maze back to their original places.

The part provided by Hagrid is easy to deal with, just put it back into the Forbidden Forest, but there are also many magical animals provided by Newt, and Chris needs to send them back.

However, after what happened just now, he suddenly changed his mind. Before leaving Hogwarts, he wanted to go see Dumbledore first.

"I think you'd better go later, or choose another time." Kyle reminded: "Minister Fudge is also in the principal's office. The atmosphere there is probably not going to be very good."

"It's okay, I can wait." Chris said, then looked in the direction of the castle with a serious expression.

As a member of the Ministry of Magic, he certainly knew what kind of character Fudge was, and he also knew that he would absolutely not want to believe the news that Voldemort had been resurrected.

Therefore, the conversation between Dumbledore and him couldn't be very pleasant.

"They are in the principal's office. Do you want to go directly there?" Kyle asked, "Or should we wait a while? We can go to the lounge to eat something first. I'm a little hungry."

"No, there's no need for that." Chris stared at the corner, where he could vaguely hear a flurry of footsteps.

"Evidence, Dumbledore, you can't fool me with a memory that you don't know whether it's true or not!"

Fudge's somewhat exasperated voice came, "Or are you willing to accept all the nonsense said by those two children? Don't be ridiculous."

Then came Dumbledore's voice.

"I've said it many times, Cornelius, I was there, you can have the Aurors check my memory."

"Memories can be deceptive...especially for a wizard like you."

"I can guarantee that it will not happen," said Dumbledore. "Listen, Cornelius, it is not too late now. We must act immediately and send messengers to the giants...lest they side with Voldemort again."

"Send an envoy to the giant!" Fudge screamed. "What kind of crazy talk is this? People hate giants to the core, Dumbledore... If the wizarding world knew that I had dealings with giants... I would have no chance of being a minister any longer!"

"Connelly, you are so obsessed with your official position that you have lost your proper judgment..."

"Ridiculous! You must be crazy, just because of the nonsense of two children..."

The men were getting closer and closer, and soon Fudge noticed this side.

"Oh, Chris." He quickly changed the subject: "Have you seen Kyle? I need to ask him something?"

"What?" Chris turned his head subconsciously, only to find that he was the only one left here without knowing when.

Kyle didn't want to contact Fudge at this time, as could be seen from their conversation just now. It was useless to say anything now.

He didn't even believe in Dumbledore's memory, so naturally he wouldn't change his mind just because of a few words from me. He needed to think of other ways to deal with this matter.

Before that, he didn't want to argue too much with Fudge, nor did he want to make himself unhappy.

Although he didn't know the directional magic of the Department of Mysteries, it was late at night and the Disillusionment Charm worked well.

At least Fudge didn't notice his location.

"No, he should have gone back to the castle." Chris guessed what Kyle was thinking and said calmly.

"Then let's go to the hospital wing first," said Dumbledore. "Harry is there, and he can also testify."

"Ha...testify?" Fudge laughed harshly. "Mad, all crazy...I want to see what ridiculous stories you can come up with."

Dumbledore turned his head and paused for a moment on Kyle who was under the Disillusionment Charm, then said:

"You can come too, Chris, if you're not in a hurry to go back."

"Okay." Chris nodded and followed.

Several people quickly crossed the courtyard and disappeared around the corner of the stairs leading to the school hospital.

At the same time, Kyle also lifted the Disillusionment Spell and couldn't help rubbing his forehead.

Dumbledore was too anxious. The tougher his attitude was towards Fudge, the more counterproductive it would be.

Maybe this method worked before, but now Fudge no longer needs to rely on Dumbledore's name to save the situation.

Without the threat of Crouch, Fudge had just tasted the sweetness of having absolute power, and it would be unwise to go against him at this time.

But there was no other way. Whether Fudge was willing to believe it or not, this matter had to be told, and it could only be said by Dumbledore.

If it had been anyone else, Fudge probably wouldn't even have listened... no matter who it was.

It might be a bit harder for Harry, as he had to be woken up not long after falling asleep.

When he returned to the castle, he met Mrs. Weasley, who looked anxious, as well as Bill and Charlie.

"Kyle, I'm so glad you're okay." Mrs. Weasley ran over quickly, "Where's Harry, have you seen him?"

"Harry is in the hospital wing," said Kyle. He noticed that Mrs. Weasley's face had turned pale, and he quickly explained, "He just drank a dreamless sleeping potion and fell asleep there."

"That's good, that's good," said Mrs. Weasley thankfully.

"Hermione said Harry was missing." Charlie came over and whispered, "Then we went to find Professor Dumbledore and happened to meet Sirius, who told us everything."

"So is that all true?" Bill said with a heavy face, "The mysterious man is really resurrected?"

"It's absolutely true..." said Kyle, "I saw it, and so did Harry and Professor Dumbledore."

"Oh..." Bill gasped.

Mrs. Weasley's hand, which was holding Kyle's, also trembled violently a few times.

"I suggest you go find Harry later," Kyle said. "The headmaster and Fudge have already gone. How about we go to the Hufflepuff common room first? We can eat something first. I'm really hungry."

"No, we have to help him." Mrs. Weasley said palely, "I know what kind of person Fudge is. He won't believe this, nor will he believe Harry. With me here, Harry can at least feel more relaxed.

"Bill, go inform your father that Dumbledore may need our help."

"Okay, Mom."

Mrs. Weasley walked quickly towards the hospital wing, and Bill and Charlie turned and went to the owl shed. In the blink of an eye, Kyle was the only one left here again.

Okay... there should be no one here now.

Kyle shrugged and finally returned to the Hufflepuff common room.

The lounge was brightly lit, with many cakes and delicious snacks on the table.

As is a Hufflepuff tradition, Kyle's victory in the Triwizard Tournament was naturally celebrated.

It's just that he came back a little too late. There were not many people left in the lounge, and most people had already gone to bed, so it wasn't really suitable for celebrating.

However, everyone still congratulated Kyle and agreed to give him another celebratory party tomorrow, to which Kyle agreed.

He walked over to the table, picked up a sandwich and took a big bite.

"What happened? Why did you come back so late?" Kanna handed him a glass of lemonade.

"Big thing, very big thing." Kyle took the lemonade and took a few sips. The sour taste also made him sober up a lot.

"Isn't the Triwizard Tournament already over? What could be the big deal?" Cedric asked in confusion.

"It's hard to explain in a few words." Kyle glanced at the few people in the lounge and said, "Come with me."

He led Connor and Cedric to a table in the far corner.

"You may not believe it, but I have to say it... Voldemort has resurrected."

"Bang!"

Cedric dropped his butterbeer.

"Ha, that's not a very good joke." He laughed dryly and used his wand to clean up the butterbeer on the ground. "The You-Know-Who is dead. Everyone knows that."

"I wish this was just a joke, but it's not." Kyle finished the last sip of lemonade. "It won't be long before Professor Dumbledore tells you the news."

Cedric dropped his wand.

And Connor was almost mashing her sandwich into mashed potatoes.

"It's not that I don't believe you, Kyle...but how is this possible?" Cedric stammered, "Harry Potter...the savior who killed the mysterious man...he is in Gryffindor..."

"So what I'm saying is, resurrection." Kyle glanced out the window, "You don't need to believe it now, just be prepared."
