Chapter 619 Fudge's Letter

Just like Fred said, Cedric is now becoming more and more like Oliver Wood. Let alone a light rain like this, he probably wouldn't stop training even if it was a heavy rain.

At 8:30 in the evening, everyone returned tiredly to the warm common room.

Kyle took off the waterproof and moisture-proof badge on his clothes, picked up the hot cocoa that Connor had prepared on the table and took a sip.

Cedric also held a cup of hot tea in his hand, but he had just gotten it from the kitchen.

"Tomorrow is Hogsmeade Visit Day." Mida Ancona, the new third-year goalkeeper, took off the badge on her clothes and kept it properly before asking, "How is it there? I haven't been there yet."

In school, only students above the third grade are allowed to visit Hogsmeade on fixed weekends. Children who are too young can only stay in the castle.

"Very interesting." Cedric said, "I suggest you go to Honeydukes first. It is the most popular store in Hogsmeade and is always crowded with people."

"Devisbans is also good." Connor suggested, "You can buy a lot of interesting magic items there, such as quickwriting quills and parchment that can be written on repeatedly."

"Of course, if you like something a little less conventional, you can't miss Zuko," Kyle said.

"Then go to the Three Broomsticks and have a glass of butterbeer." Someone else suggested, "You must try it. There are also pumpkin soda and cherry honey soda. They are much better than the pumpkin juice in school."

Midan's eyes sparkled when he heard this, and he wished he could fly to Hogsmeade right away.

Next, the topic naturally shifted from training to Hogsmeade.

Unlike Midaan, seniors like Kyle and Cedric had been there many times. Plus, there were only a few stores, and they had gone back and forth countless times, so the novelty had long since worn off.

Most of the time, they were recommending travel guides to Midan and another third-year team member, telling them which store was more worth visiting.

The most common ones are Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks, both of which are related to food.

Kyle had originally recommended another place, which was the Shrieking Shack.

Sirius bought the place earlier and planned to open a new shop with Lupin.

However, the resurrection of Voldemort disrupted their plan. Now Lupin has a lot of things to do, and Sirius has been taken away by the Ministry of Magic for investigation.

So, the Screaming Shack, which had just been renovated, was put on hold, and no one knew when it would reopen.

When it was almost ten o'clock, everyone, feeling sleepy, returned to their dormitories.

The next day at breakfast, most of the young wizards were in the hall excitedly discussing their upcoming trip to Hogsmeade, and had already planned what to buy first.

However, seventh grader Cedric was not very interested in this. He did not plan to go this time, but decided to stay in the castle and take advantage of the opportunity of everyone going to visit to train on the court for a while longer.

The other houses were easy to deal with, and Cedric was confident that he could beat them all, with the exception of Gryffindor.

Harry's Firebolt was too threatening to ignore, and although Kyle also had a similar broom, they were in different positions.

Kyle is a Chaser and needs to rely on scoring goals to slowly gain an advantage, but Harry is a Seeker and as long as he catches the Snitch, the game is over.

Although they had successfully delayed Harry's Firebolt once a year ago with an unexpected plan, that success was due to the surprise attack.

Now that they were prepared, it was impossible for them to use the same plan a second time... Harry wasn't that stupid, he must have figured out a way to crack it long ago.

So I have to think of another way...

On the other hand, Kyle had no intention of going to Hogsmeade.

But he didn't go there for Quidditch, but because he really didn't have any shops he wanted to go to, so he might as well stay in the lounge and play some wizard chess.

Kyle had thought so, but at the end of breakfast a brown barn owl brought him a brief letter.

There was only one sentence in the letter.

There is nothing else, including the sender's name.

Just when Kyle was wondering who sent it, he suddenly noticed Umbridge looking at him in the classroom.

Now Kyle understood.

He was still thinking last night that it had been a week since the last detention, but there had been no movement from the Ministry of Magic. He thought Fudge could really keep his composure, but he didn't expect to receive a letter today.

So, after breakfast, Kyle went to the entrance hall with the others, and Professor McGonagall and Umbridge took them to Hogsmeade.

"Didn't you say you weren't going to Hogsmeade today?" Kanna asked curiously as they walked on the grounds, "Why did you suddenly change your mind?"

"Go meet someone," Kyle said.

"Who is it, Professor Black?"

"No." Kyle shook his head, "You'll know when you get there."

Seeing Kyle's mysterious look, Kanna didn't ask any more questions.

After arriving at Hogsmeade, Kyle went straight to the Three Broomsticks. Since he arrived early, there were not many people there, including Fudge.

Generally speaking, everyone will treat this place as a place to rest and come here to have a drink when they are tired of playing.

Kyle ordered a pumpkin soda and sat at an empty table to drink it while he waited.

About half an hour later, the door of the Three Broomsticks was pushed open.

"Oh, Mr. Minister..." Madam Rosmerta exclaimed, "How did you find time to come to Hogsmeade?"

"Of course I miss your red currant rum. To be honest, I always want to have a sip every time I get off work."

"Thank you for your compliment, Mr. Minister." Madam Rosmerta looked very happy. She turned to look at Umbridge who had followed her.

"And you, Professor Umbridge?"

"Mead and cherry syrup," said Umbridge in a coquettish voice.

Kyle, who was sitting on the side, could clearly see that Ms. Rosmerta was tightly gripping a cup under the bar with her hands, barely able to maintain the expression on her face.

"Wait a moment," she said, and turned to leave.

Since there weren't many people in the bar, Fudge naturally came to Kyle's table.

"Long time no see, Kyle." He greeted warmly, as if they had really met by chance. "You did a great job defeating Beauxbatons and Durmstrang in the Triwizard Tournament last year. To be honest, it has been a long time since we have won honors in such an international event."

"This is what I'm supposed to do, Mr. Minister," Kyle said.

Kanna looked at Kyle, then at Fudge who seemed to be hesitant to speak, and suddenly understood something.

"I'm going to get some candy," she said, standing up and leaving the bar.

"What a clever girl." Fudge walked over to her previous seat and sat down, taking off the striped hat and putting it aside.

Umbridge also sat on the other side.

"Kanna has always been smart," Kyle said with a smile.
