Rodan was too recognizable, and Kyle wasn't sure if Lucius would just chase it away because he didn't want to have anything to do with him, so it would be more appropriate to choose another owl.
Kyle looked around the owlery and quickly selected a tawny barn owl and tied the envelope to its leg.
"Then I'll trouble you."
The owl nodded, flapped its wings, and flew away.
Kyle was just about to go back to the castle, but when he turned around, he saw a pair of sharp eyes staring at him.
"Ah, Laton...you are here, really, I didn't find you just now..." Kyle said dryly: "Actually, well...this is not a good job...you don't have to go in person..."
As soon as Kyle opened his mouth, all the feathers on Rodan's neck stood up, making it look like a large Quaffle.
It didn't listen to Kyle's explanation at all. It smacked its lips angrily, made a dull clicking sound, spread its wings and flew away.
"I should have come when it wasn't around." Kyle rubbed his forehead.
Just as he was about to chase after him, he suddenly heard an angry roar.
"Get out of here...you beast, get out of here!"
Kyle quickly quickened his pace.
Outside the Owlery, Filch was swinging a hooked stick around.
There were two owls above his head, one of which was Rodan who had just left. It was flying angrily in the air, dodging Filch's stick and hitting his head with its broad wings.
Rodan's strength was not comparable to that of an ordinary owl. Every blow he made Filch retreat again and again.
In addition to Rodan, there was also a white snowy owl next to it.
"Hedwig?" Kyle called out.
The white owl immediately flew over and landed on Kyle's shoulder.
Only then did Kyle notice that its feathers were unusually messy, with many feathers bent backwards, one of its wings was injured and bent at a strange angle, and there was a letter in its claws.
"Laton, wait a moment." Kyle shouted.
Maybe he had fought enough or heard Kyle's voice, but Rodan stopped pestering Filch and flew to a nearby tree.
Filch threw the stick in his hand in frustration, but the next second, the stick turned and fell into Kyle's hand.
There was a white feather stuck on the hook at the top of the wooden stick.
"Filch, are you intercepting students' letters?" Kyle said coldly.
"This is a normal check," said Filch gruffly. "Give it back to me, or I'll ..."
“Crack!”
In front of Filch, Kyle threw the stick to the ground and broke it with his foot.
Hedwig cried out excitedly.
"Check? I didn't know Hogwarts would check students' letters in this way."
Filch was also frightened by this sudden action and couldn't help but take two steps back.
But he soon regained his courage and said with his neck stiff: "This is what Professor Umbridge agreed to. I just did it."
"Nonsense." Kyle narrowed his eyes. "Intercepting letters privately is against Wizarding Law. Professor Umbridge, as the Senior Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Magic, how could she allow you to do this? Don't try to slander Professor Umbridge."
Filch turned pale.
Of course he knew that this was illegal, but he was really just following Umbridge's orders.
But at this time, Kyle didn't want to continue talking to him and didn't give him a chance to explain.
"I'll tell the professor about this."
With that, Kyle took Hedwig out of the Owlery and headed towards the castle.
When they were halfway there, Hedwig called out softly twice, and then flew towards the Gryffindor tower, apparently to deliver a letter to Harry.
Kyle wanted to go back to the dormitory to get a bottle of owl tonic to send to Harry, but when he arrived at the castle gate, he suddenly stopped.
Not far away at the edge of the forbidden forest, puffs of white smoke were constantly coming out of the chimney of a wooden house that had been silent for a long time.
"Hagrid's back?"
Kyle immediately changed direction, walked through the frosty grass, quickly came to the wooden door, and knocked on it twice.
A familiar sound of a dog barking could be heard from the house.
"Shut up, Fang!"
The door opened and Hagrid's head appeared in the crack.
"I saw smoke..." Kyle said, "Someone must have used the fireplace."
"I should have thought of that earlier." Hagrid said with a smile, "Come in... get out of the way, Fang, don't block the way..."
Hagrid opened the door a little wider, then closed it again as soon as Kyle squeezed through.
There was a strong musty smell in the room, but Kyle ignored it and stared at Hagrid.
There were dark red blood clots in his hair, his eyes were swollen into slits, his chin was still bleeding, and he was missing two teeth. He looked like he had been beaten up roughly... and he had been beaten to the ground.
"It's all right...it's all right..." said Hagrid, covering his eyes with his hands. "Want something to drink...Oh, the tea is all moldy. In this awful weather, how about some water?"
"It's a giant." Kyle said suddenly.
Hagrid's hands froze. "What?"
"I mean," Kyle said firmly, "the wound on your face was caused by a giant."
"No..." Hagrid said stubbornly, but his voice was very low.

"What was that?" Kyle said calmly, "There's no trace of magic on you, which means you're not a wizard. A normal wizard couldn't have beaten you like this with his fists."
"It's... it's a dragon." Hagrid's eyes were evasive. "I went to Romania..."
"Sorry, forgive my ignorance..." Kyle raised his eyebrows, "I still don't know any kind of fire dragon that likes to fight in close combat. They usually prefer to use fire."
Kyle looked him up and down. "But there are no marks of being burned by the fire on your body."
"Oh, I remembered it wrongly, it was Chimaera..."
"The most powerful weapons of the Chimera are its fangs and claws."
"I……"
"Hagrid, are you testing my knowledge of magical creatures?"
"Bang!"
A copper kettle was placed heavily on the stove.
"I know that your Care of Magical Creatures class is the best in the school." Hagrid muttered helplessly, "But now I really wish you weren't so smart."
"So you admit it, huh?" Kyle said with a smile.
"This is not something a boy of your age should be asking about." Hagrid stared at him sternly with his good eye. "Don't ask, Kyle. This matter is absolutely confidential. I won't tell you."
"Okay then." Kyle said cheerfully.
This surprised Hagrid a little. The excuse he had just come up with with great difficulty seemed to be useless.
He then remembered that Kyle was different from Harry and the others, and he didn't have the habit of asking questions...
"Luckily there are two of them." Hagrid thought thankfully.
On some of the most critical issues, he thought he could fool Harry, but there was no way he could fool Kyle.
If Kyle likes to ask everything clearly like Harry does, then the top-secret mission assigned to him by Dumbledore will be a complete failure...
In addition, some information that he doesn't want others to know will most likely be exposed directly... such as the thing he deliberately hid in the forbidden forest.
"I just want to know which side the giant is on." Kyle continued, "Is this the reason you are going to contact the giant as Dumbledore's messenger?"
Hagrid's smile gradually dropped and his expression became serious.
"He was originally on our side," he said, "but the giant Gugo... you should know him, the leader of the giants."
Kyle nodded.
"The Gugo we came into contact with had his head chopped off by another giant named Gao Gao Ma on the third day with a sword forged by a goblin."
"The goblin's sword?" Kyle said, "It's definitely not from you."
"It was sent by the Death Eaters." Hagrid said in a low voice, "McNeill, a madman, likes killing as much as Gao Gao Ma, they get along very well."
"So, we have to face all the giants next?"
"Maybe not all of them..." Hagrid said, "Anyway, something unexpected happened and the giants started fighting again. Olympe and I persuaded six or seven giants at one point... If they were unwilling to obey the rule of Tall Horse... maybe they would come to our side."
"How many giants are there?" Kyle asked.
"Well... about seventy or eighty."
