Chapter 665 Harry in Pain and Happiness

Kyle never saw Umbridge again for the rest of the holiday. It was as if she was deliberately avoiding him.

This is what Kyle wanted, after all, he didn't want to see Umbridge hanging around in front of him during the holidays.

But others were not so lucky. When in the castle, Kyle often heard people complaining that they were scolded by Umbridge for trivial matters.

He also said that she was like a stronger version of Filch, causing complaints throughout the castle.

And so it was the last day of the holiday. In the evening, all the students who went home for Christmas returned to school on the Hogwarts Express, and the castle suddenly became lively.

Fred and George conjured up a platform similar to a table in the hall and stood on it to demonstrate the latest products of Weasley's Joke Shop.

It was a strangely shaped, pointed hat with pink feathers. It looked silly, but when Fred put it on his head, the hat disappeared along with his head.

This immediately caused people in the auditorium to scream, and of course, some also burst into laughter.

Kyle was also a little surprised, as products that can become invisible are rare.

He had initially thought that the Weasleys had used the skin of an invisible beast, like a common invisibility cloak, but when George named the price, two Galleons, he dismissed the idea.

Two Galleons can't buy a piece of invisible beast fur as big as a hat. Ten times the amount would be enough.

And there are certain differences between their products and invisibility cloaks.

An invisibility cloak can only hide the covered area. If it is too small, part of the body will be exposed.

But just now Fred's entire head disappeared, including the area below his eyebrows that was not covered, which is completely different from the principle of the invisibility cloak.

Kyle guessed that they must have combined the Disillusionment Charm and the Extended Rune.

"What a great idea." Cedric clapped with the others and said, "If they strengthen the effect, maybe they can make the whole body invisible."

“It’s not going to be easy,” Kyle said. “I don’t think they’re going to spend a lot of time on it.”

"That's true." Cedric shrugged.

Weasley's Joke Shop has just opened, and what it needs most is a large number of novel products to fill the store. They certainly won't waste time on something that can be solved with a Disillusionment Charm.

As more and more people came to the auditorium, Fred and George soon received a large number of orders.

It was not until Professor McGonagall entered the hall that they reluctantly walked down from the platform.

Later, Snape came, but he did not go to the teachers' table with Professor McGonagall. Instead, he walked straight to the Hufflepuff table and stopped in front of Kyle.

"Follow me!" he said, and strode out of the auditorium.

"What's wrong?" Cedric asked, "Have you offended Professor Snape again?"

"No," Kyle said, and followed him into the foyer outside the auditorium.

"Today is the last day of the holiday, but I don't seem to have seen Potter, and no one in the whole school has seen him..."

In the hall, Snape said expressionlessly: "I now doubt whether you are teaching him Occlumency or sending him out of school.

"I hope it's not the latter. Otherwise, you should find a way to explain it to the principal."

Harry?

Kyle hesitated for a moment, then suddenly slapped his thigh, left a few words, and ran upstairs.

"It's bad, why didn't you tell me earlier!"

Snape looked at Kyle's back, his face becoming more and more gloomy, as if he might burst into curse at any time.

But Kyle couldn't care about these things at this time. No wonder Hermione and Ron had been looking for something in the hall when he arrived. They were looking for Harry! Kyle ran all the way and soon arrived at the eighth floor.

When he pushed open the door of the Room of Requirement, he just saw a splash of water on the lake not far away.

Then, Harry, who was soaking wet, staggered to the shore and skillfully used magic to dry his clothes.

It must be said that I don't know how well Harry has learned the brain-blocking technique, but he is quite skilled in the Warming Wind Charm. Kyle didn't even hear the sound of the spell.

A few minutes later, Harry fell into the lake again... and did the same thing as before, reaching the shore and drying his clothes.

Fox was standing on a big tree nearby, eating the pods of the knotweed vine one by one, glancing at them casually from time to time.

When it looked up again, it saw Kyle, then spread its wings and flew over.

The movement here naturally caught Harry's attention. He turned his head, his expression did not change at all, and he just muttered to himself: "Strange, why did I see Kyle, and this time there is also a phoenix, I must be dreaming again.

"That's not right. That was quite painful just now. Could it be that I was knocked unconscious?"

It wasn't until the cat-leopard jumped to Kyle's side in a few seconds that Harry realized that Kyle was really here this time.

Harry was so excited that he almost cried and ran over crawling.

"It's over, isn't it? The teaching is over, isn't it..." He looked at Kyle hopefully and said quickly, "I promise I have learned the brain block technique, really!"

Kyle did not doubt his statement. Although he only watched for a while, he noticed that the cat-leopard hesitated several times before taking action, which meant that it did not see it clearly.

The cat-leopard also confirmed this statement.

It growled.

“You can still see it, but it’s blurrier, right?” Kyle asked.

Cat-leopard nodded and glanced at Harry with some disdain.

It's not just Harry who's feeling tired these days. He also has to beat people up, but at the same time, he has to strike a balance so as not to really hurt them. This is a technical job that tests one's patience.

So strictly speaking, Cat-Cat actually wants to end this teaching session more than Harry does.

"Thank you for your hard work, Natalie." Kyle opened the box, "I prepared warthog legs and dragon blood steak for you, go and eat them."

The cat jumped in without saying a word...Fox followed it into the box. Kyle would definitely leave the Room of Requirement next, as he didn't want to appear in front of other students.

"Kyle...is that a phoenix?" Harry rubbed his eyes and asked uncertainly.

"Well, Fox, you should have seen it in the principal's office." Kyle put away the box and said, "It can be regarded as your supervisor, or as a therapist at critical moments. "Okay, let's go out. If you want to stay here, you can..."

Before Kyle could finish his words, Harry ran towards the door.

He's crazy to stay here.

Harry could no longer tell how many times he had been beaten. He only knew that he was beaten every day, and the water he splashed could fill a new lake.

Compared to what he had experienced in the past few days, the ten years he had lived in the Dursleys' house could be described as warm and cozy... At least his aunt and uncle wouldn't beat him with a stick every few minutes, but the cat-leopard would, and it hurt really bad.

Its tail was like an iron rod, leaving a mark with every hit, but it couldn't hurt the bones. It just hurt, and Harry couldn't even find an excuse to give up.

For a while, Harry even thought it would be a good idea to learn Occlumency from Snape.

"I've been getting beat up pretty much all day!"

On the way back to the Great Hall, Harry couldn't help but complain to Kyle: "Sometimes even when I was sleeping, my bed was inexplicably overturned."

"You must have overslept," Kyle said. "The cat-cat only enters that room during training time."

"Even so..." Harry pouted, "But I always need some time to rest, but you threw me into the Room of Requirement and I never went there again!"

"This is also a teaching requirement." Kyle explained: "Practicing brain occlusion requires putting aside unnecessary emotions. Although long-term continuous training is very hard, it also allows you not to be disturbed by other things and keep your brain in a completely relaxed state.

"In fact, I was just like you at the beginning. I lived and ate with the cat and leopard, and I was beaten almost every day when I opened my eyes."

Harry felt better when he heard that Kyle felt the same way. Now that he thought about it, he had really had a fulfilling time during this period.

Those troubles like Voldemort, the Order of the Phoenix, and Umbridge seemed to have not appeared in his mind for a long time. Even his sleep quality improved a lot. He could fall asleep almost as soon as he touched the pillow. He no longer had messy dreams and could wake up at dawn as soon as he opened his eyes.

"By the way, Kyle, how long did it take you to learn Occlumency?" Harry asked curiously.

"I forgot..." Kyle thought for a moment, "It should be about a week, and Cat Leopard can't understand my thoughts at all. What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Harry shook his head, feeling a little secretly happy.

It took me a week to learn Occlumency, and it took Kyle a week as well, so doesn't that mean he has the same talent for this spell as Kyle?

As a recognized good student in Hogwarts, no one would question Kyle's talent in magic.

Harry never thought that he had the same talent as Kyle. It was like when he found out after the exam that his scores were comparable to Hermione's... he was quite excited.

Thinking of this, Harry didn't seem so angry anymore, and said half-jokingly: "I've been calculating the time every day. I thought today was the last day of the holiday and you would definitely come to pick me up, but I didn't expect you to come until now. I thought you had forgotten about it."

"Umbridge is back?" Harry's good mood disappeared instantly when he heard the name again.

"You're right. If she found out that I returned to school early, she would definitely jump for excitement. Fortunately, you didn't come to pick me up in the morning... Compared to being questioned by Umbridge, I would rather be whipped by the cat's tail."

"Ah... It's nothing. It's what I should do." Kyle said, "Let's go faster. The party should be starting soon."

"Party?" Harry's eyes lit up.

Although the house-elves delivered food on time every day these days, Harry was in no mood to taste the food due to the endless torture of the cat-leopard. He just wanted to fill his stomach.

Now that it was finally over, and it was a happy occasion as it was a banquet, he subconsciously quickened his pace.

When the two returned to the hall, it was already full of people. Harry subconsciously looked towards the teachers' seats, where Snape was sitting.

For some reason, he felt that Snape's eyes were a little strange, as if they were different from usual.

But Harry didn't care too much about it. He just took a look and quickly turned around and walked towards the Gryffindor table.

Snape was stunned for a moment, his expression a little surprised. He didn't expect that Harry actually learned the brain-blocking technique. Even though it was just a change from a sieve to a fine mesh, it was enough to resist those messy mental invasions.

And to achieve this level in just one week is quite an improvement.

But the more this happened, the more uncomfortable Snape felt. He had been teaching Harry for so many days, but there was no progress at all.

But when it came to Kyle, he took off directly. Doesn't this mean that he is not as good as Kyle?

Snape found it hard to accept that as a genuine professor, he lost to a sixth-grade student in teaching.

Just as he was thinking about it, Snape suddenly noticed that Dumbledore next to him looked at him with an affirmative expression.

Apparently, he had noticed the change in Harry as well, and attributed the change to himself.

This made Snape feel even more uncomfortable... He didn't want to take advantage of Kyle, but he couldn't explain in front of other professors, especially Umbridge, so he could only hold it in and sulk.

On the other side, Harry returned to the Gryffindor table and just sat down, Hermione and Ron surrounded him.

"where have you been?"

"We looked for you for more than half an hour, but the people who stayed in school said they hadn't seen you in the past few days."

"I've been staying in the Room of Requirement," Harry said in a low voice. "You know, to study Occlumency."

"How's it going?" Ron asked.

"Hmm... not bad," said Harry. "I feel like I've learned it."

"You learned it?" Hermione looked at Harry in disbelief and subconsciously exclaimed, "So fast!"

"Quick? Harry wasted his entire holiday, isn't it normal to learn a spell?" Ron said in confusion, "From what you mean, is that Occlumency difficult?"

"It's difficult!" Hermione nodded solemnly, "Or to put it another way, it's much more difficult than any spell we've come across before, including the Segmental Transfiguration and the Patronus Charm."

In fact, after Harry returned to Hogwarts, Hermione also tried to learn the brain-blocking technique. She read a lot of related books, including "Adding a Door to Your Brain", "Control Your Thoughts", and "Memory and Thought". She read all the three books recommended by Mr. Weasley, and consulted Bill and Tonks for several days in a row.

But to be honest, she still hadn't learned this technique until she went to the station this morning.

Bill said she had improved a lot since two weeks ago, but Hermione could see that he was just comforting himself.

Hermione originally thought that Harry was about the same, but she never expected that he had already learned it... This made Hermione feel frustrated.

"How did you learn it?" she asked eagerly. "What method did you use? Can you tell me?"

Hearing Hermione's question, Harry thought of the six-legged leopard and its tail that made a whirring sound when it was swinging, and he shuddered subconsciously.

"Trust me Hermione, don't ask. You won't like it."

After hearing what Harry said, Hermione was not convinced. She said, "As long as I can learn this spell, I can stick to it no matter how difficult it is."

Hermione was qualified to say this, as she had always been very perseverant when it came to studying. For example, in her third year, she managed to complete all twelve subjects... Even at Hogwarts, there were only a handful of students who could do this.

"That's not difficult..." said Harry.

Seeing Hermione's unconvincing look, he hesitated for a moment, then pulled up his sleeves to reveal his arms, "See for yourself."

Harry's arms were covered in bruises, as if someone had spilled paint on him.

"Oh, Merlin's beard!"

“Oh my God!”

Seeing this, Hermione and Ron exclaimed almost at the same time, instantly attracting the attention of the people around them.

Harry quickly rolled down his sleeves and pretended nothing had happened.

"Did Snape do this?"

But Hermione ignored all that and said angrily, "This is too much. How could he hit you? This is against school rules... No, it's against wizard law. I must tell the headmaster!"

"Yes, that's right." Ron was also very angry, "People like him are not qualified to be a professor!"

"Hey, calm down." Harry lowered his voice and said, "Although Snape's actions were also excessive, this has nothing to do with him. It's Kyle."

"Kyle?" Hermione was stunned for a moment, and continued: "Even Kyle can't hit you..."

"No, no, no...it wasn't Kyle who hit me, it was Cat-Cat." She was interrupted by Harry before she could finish her words.

Now, Hermione was completely confused.

It was already a bit unbelievable that Kyle was involved, so how come there was another cat-leopard now? If she remembered correctly, this was a rare magical animal, with only a few in the whole of Britain. How could it appear in Hogwarts?

Harry quickly gave a brief explanation of what had happened in the previous few days.

Hermione and Ron were so surprised that their mouths were wide open, as if they were listening to a story about a troll learning to dance ballet.

Even if they racked their brains, they would never have thought that Kyle actually found a leopard to teach Harry...even that was how he learned the brain-blocking technique himself.

"That's it." Harry said, "These wounds only look scary, but they are just superficial injuries. Even if you don't take care of them, they will be gone in a day or two. Don't worry."

"So you've been with Cat Leopard these days?" Ron asked, smacking his lips.

"A whole week," said Harry, sounding sad.

"In that case, it seems that the cat-leopard's eyes do have the ability of Legilimency."

Hermione nodded thoughtfully. "But when its eyes turn purple, its ability will also become hypnosis. This is also the most terrifying thing about the cat-leopard, because among the known defensive magics, there are very few that can resist hypnosis."

"Ah? Cats and leopards can also hypnotize people?" Harry scratched his hair.

"You don't know?" Hermione asked back.

"I don't know," Harry said. "The cats I've seen always have blue eyes."

"Have you ever thought about reading a book?" Hermione looked a little angry, "You should know that the Room of Requirement will add corresponding books to the room according to your needs, which is what we do during the DA gathering.

"And what I just said is all from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

"Come on Hermione, I'm being chased and beaten all the time, how can I have time to read?" Harry couldn't help but retort.

"Don't you still have a few hours to sleep?" Hermione frowned and said, "Can't you spare twenty minutes? It's always good to know more about your opponent."

"Twenty minutes?" Harry sighed. "You know what? I've fallen asleep right on the floor by the door a few times."

"But……"

Hermione wanted to say something, but finally shook her head. "Let's take you to the school hospital after the dinner. Madam Pomfrey should be able to make you recover soon."

"No." Harry refused decisively. "What I want most now is to go back to the soft bed in the dormitory and have a good sleep... As for these, according to my experience, they will disappear after two days. Don't worry about them at all."

"But Hermione, if you are not in a hurry, I think it is better not to learn Occlumency in this way. It is really too painful."

This time Hermione did not refute, because Harry's quick method did not seem to be suitable for her.
