Chapter 684: Battle of the Department of Mysteries

It was difficult for Kyle to describe his current mood. He had just fallen asleep for less than ten minutes when he was woken up by someone.

"Fred, George, you'd better give me a reasonable explanation." Kyle sat up from the bed, rubbed his face, trying to wake himself up.

It was amazing that he could see Fred and George in the dormitory.

As for Mikel and Ryan, their beds were empty. They were probably still playing wizard chess in the common room. Kyle remembered that they said they would play all night.

"I know you will graduate soon and you are reluctant to leave everything in Hogwarts. You want to save your sleep time to see more, but I will come again next year...

Kyle couldn't help but say, "And this is the Hufflepuff dormitory, how did you get in?"

"Of course Cedric brought us in," Fred said with a grin.

"Never mind that," George said. "You've been to the principal's office before, haven't you?"

Kyle nodded. "Yes, what's the matter?"

"So, what activities has the Order of the Phoenix been doing recently?" Fred asked in a low voice.

"I haven't heard of that." Kyle thought for a moment, "Why are you asking this?"

"That's strange." George said puzzledly: "If there are no activities, why do Harry and the others leave school?"

"Leaving school? What do you mean?"

"They just flew away out of thin air." Fred explained: "We were just discussing the opening of Weasley's Joke Shop, and when we looked up we saw Harry flying in the sky."

"And Hermione and Ron," George added.

“They seem to be riding something, but we can’t see it,” said Fred. “I think it’s a Thestral.”

"What?" Kyle suddenly woke up.

He didn't expect that even though Dumbledore had made his words so clear, Harry still believed his dream...

There was no doubt that his purpose was to go to the Ministry of Magic. After all, Kyle had heard him mention this place when he was outside the principal's office before.

This was simply a trap; if Harry went there, it would mean that the Death Eaters would also go... or they had already arrived, waiting for Harry.

"Damn it, when did this happen!"

"It should be two hours ago." Fred thought for a moment and said, "We were just arguing about the activities to be held for the opening, and then when we were swimming here at night, we suddenly remembered this matter... Wait, Kyle, where are you going?"

Under the puzzled gazes of the Weasley brothers, Kyle jumped out of the bed and rushed out of the common room.

When he arrived on the eighth floor, he happened to meet Dumbledore standing at the door of the Gryffindor common room.

"Professor..." Kyle ran over quickly and repeated the news he had just heard.

"I already know." Dumbledore looked a little unhappy.

"Just now, I received the news that Sirius was safe and sound, and was about to tell Harry about it, but it seems that I was a step too late.

"I suppose they must have left when I destroyed the Horcruxes..."

"So what should we do now?" Kyle asked, "Go to the Ministry of Magic too?"

"I will go," said Dumbledore. "You will be safest if you stay in school."

"No." Kyle shook his head and insisted, "They're going to the Department of Mysteries. My mother is there."

Dumbledore hesitated for a moment. He wanted to tell Kyle that there was no need to worry about Diana's safety, but the words couldn't come out.

Because if he were Kyle, he would definitely not be able to feel at ease just by listening to a few words from others.

"No problem, Professor." Kyle said quickly, "As long as the opponent is not Voldemort, those Death Eaters are no match for me."

"The Death Eaters are not as weak as you think, Kyle." Dumbledore said seriously, "They were once the best wizards, and they have experienced cruel wars firsthand."

Kyle said nothing, but took out his box.

"Uh... okay."

It took only a moment for Dumbledore to be convinced.

"Take my hand," said Dumbledore.

Kyle immediately grabbed his arm.

Immediately, Fawkes flew over from not far away and grabbed Dumbledore's shoulder.

After a familiar dizzying moment, the corridor with portraits disappeared, replaced by a dark and deep passage.

"Are we at the Ministry of Magic?" Kyle asked, suppressing the churning feeling in his stomach and opening his eyes.

"Yes, this is the entrance to the Department of Mysteries." Dumbledore looked at the black door at the end of the passage in front of him and said in a deep voice, "I think we are not too late. They should still be inside."

Kyle hurriedly took two steps forward, but when he turned around he found that Dumbledore was still standing there. He had taken out his wand and was looking coldly at the other side of the passage.

"There you are, Tom!"

As Dumbledore finished his words, a tall and thin man wearing a black hood appeared at the end of the passage.

"Ah, Dumbledore..." Voldemort's snake-like red eyes looked extremely strange in the dark environment.

Kyle felt a chill all over his body, but he had no time to think about it.

Dumbledore and Voldemort raised their wands almost at the same time, and two dazzling rays of light, one red and one green, exploded in the narrow passage.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Kyle pushed open the black door as quickly as possible and hid inside.

The moment the door was closed again, the explosion outside stopped abruptly, as if nothing had happened.

Kyle took a few breaths and then continued walking inside.

It is enough to have Dumbledore outside, he can't help much. The most important thing now is to deal with the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries.

Unlike the quietness of the last time he came, Kyle could faintly hear screams and explosions even when he just came in.

At the same time, not far away, in a room that looked like a library and was filled with prophecy balls, Harry was confronting a disheveled woman.

"Where is Sirius?" He held a wand in one hand and a crystal prophecy ball in the other, roaring, "You caught him, I know, he's here!"

"Oh, oh, the baby woke up and was scared, thinking that everything in the dream was real." Bellatrix said in a hoarse voice, but her voice was so ugly, like a saw on glass.

"Oh Bellatrix, you don't understand Potter as well as I do." At this time, another Death Eater came over, "He has a big weakness, personal heroism, and the Dark Lord knows this about him!"

"I know Sirius is here!" said Harry nervously. "I saw you caught him!"

The Death Eaters laughed.

"You should be able to distinguish between dreams and reality, Potter." Malfoy said, "Well, give me the prophecy ball quickly, and maybe we can let you meet Sirius!"

Harry didn't move.

From the Death Eaters' performance just now, he has gradually determined that Sirius really does not seem to be here. Dumbledore is right, this is a scam.

Harry felt his hands and feet were cold, and his stomach seemed to shrink into a ball. He believed the dream. Because of something that didn't exist, Ron and Hermione were brought here to die...

"Harry..." Hermione patted his shoulder and shook her head gently.

"Ah, what solidarity!" Bellatrix said frantically, "Look at their serious faces, as if they are going to fight us.

"How touching! If you are willing to hand over the prophecy ball, perhaps I can consider letting you two die together..."

"Shut up!" Harry couldn't help but yell.

Bellatrix laughed wildly.

"Did you hear that? Did you hear that? He is giving me orders..."

But the next second, the wild smile on her face disappeared instantly.

"Who gave you the courage to give me orders?"

"Crucio!"

Harry didn't react at all and just stood there stupidly. Fortunately, Hermione reacted quickly and pushed him in time, allowing him to avoid the Cruciatus Curse.

"Are you mad?" Malfoy roared. "If you break it..."

"No one can order me except the Dark Lord, and anyone who does so must die!" Bellatrix's chest heaved violently, but fortunately, after being reminded of this, she finally remembered that she still had important things to do.

"Catch the two people next to him. I don't believe he can remain indifferent when his companions are tortured!"

"Don't even think about it!" Sirius appeared from nowhere, pointing his wand at Bellatrix.

"Thunder explosion!"

Bellatrix was sent flying backwards, crashing into a shelf full of orbs.

It suddenly began to "rain" in the room. More than a hundred prophecy balls fell to the ground and broke into pieces. Milky white figures emerged, and whispering voices appeared.

But because there were too many voices at the same time, no one could hear clearly what was being said.

“Run!”

Two more people rushed in. Moody stood in front of the Death Eaters, while Mr. Weasley took Harry and the other two and ran towards the nearest door.

"Mr. Weasley, why are you here..." Harry said in surprise.

"We received the message from Dumbledore and rushed here immediately..." Mr. Weasley said quickly, "You shouldn't have come."

"Arthur is right." Sirius chased after him from behind. "Although you fell into this trap to save me, I still have to say that you were too impulsive. Even if I were really caught, the last thing I wanted to see was you saving me... and the last thing you should have done was to bring Hermione and Ron along."

"I'm sorry..." Harry lowered his head in shame.

"We insisted on coming here," Ron said quickly. "Harry didn't agree, so we secretly followed him..."

"Stupid!" Moody also came and glanced at Sirius. "What did you teach them before? Dumbledore should have let me teach the younger grades."

Sirius said nothing.

"Okay, stop talking so much." Mr. Weasley said, "Run quickly, there are about twenty Death Eaters here, and we are not enough... Damn, where did they get so many people?

"But Dumbledore should be here soon. We must find a way to delay him."

Several people fled aimlessly through doors, with the Death Eaters following closely behind.

When Kyle followed the sound and found the Hall of Prophecy, all that was left was a mess on the ground.

Most of the shelf collapsed, and at a glance all you could see were fragments of the prophecy ball.

"Ahaha, I knew there were still some fish slipping through the net."

A man wearing a black hood walked out from behind the shelf and said in a sinister voice, "You are also a student of Hogwarts, right? If we catch you, we can threaten Potter to hand over the prophecy."

"That's a good idea." Kyle said with a smile. Instead of feeling panicked, he asked with interest: "I seemed to hear the voices of Sirius and Moody just now... So are you hiding here because you are afraid and dare not follow them?"

"Nonsense, I am the most loyal servant of the Dark Lord, how could I be afraid of them." The man said in a shrill voice: "I just think more than they do. Look, haven't I caught you?"

"Then you are really lucky." Kyle spread his hands.

"Okay, stop talking nonsense." The Death Eater took out his wand and walked towards Kyle step by step.

"How lucky! As long as I catch you, I can threaten Potter to hand over the prophecy that the Dark Lord wants, and take the greatest credit..."

Perhaps because Kyle didn't have a wand in his hand, he became even more proud and didn't notice that there was a pair of blue eyes staring at him from behind.

"You'd better stand still and don't move..."

"puff!"

Before he could finish his words, he flew out uncontrollably.

A huge spear made of crystal ball fragments appeared out of nowhere, pierced his body directly, and sent him flying backwards, finally nailing him to a shelf.

Even Kyle was startled. He didn't notice how this "spear" appeared. The wand slipped from his sleeve into his hand in an instant. In the box, an orange-yellow eye was faintly visible.

"You should be at Hogwarts right now, not here."

A familiar voice came from behind him, and Kyle breathed a sigh of relief.

He turned around with some surprise and saw Diana standing not far behind him.

"I've received word that Death Eaters might come to the Department of Mysteries, as well as Voldemort," Kyle said, but he didn't let go of his wand, "I brought Dumbledore with me, he should be able to help you."

"Do you think I need help?" Diana shook her head.

Kyle subconsciously glanced at the Death Eater nailed to the shelf.

"Well...why don't I go back now?"

"Forget it." Diana sighed, "It's even more dangerous outside the Department of Mysteries now."

She waved her wand again, and the crystal spear turned into a crystal man, dragging the screaming Death Eater into the darkness, and no one knew where it went.

"Didn't your father tell you?" Diana came over and said, "The Unspeakables are absolutely safe in the Department of Mysteries. Even if Voldemort turns this place upside down, he can't find us."

"Uh...never." Kyle shook his head.

Diana narrowed her eyes, and a cold light flashed across them.

Kyle also realized that he seemed to have let Chris down once, so he quickly smiled and changed the subject, "Mom, is it okay for you to ignore the Death Eaters?"

"Why should I care?" Diana asked back.

"These should be very important." Kyle glanced at the messy prophecy hall. It was almost demolished and there was not a single complete prophecy ball left.

"Oh, this, just a simple magic can restore them to their original state." Diana waved her wand, and all the shelves that had fallen to the ground returned to their original positions, and were filled with prophecy balls again.

"Only those involved in the prophecy can take the corresponding prophecy ball from the Department of Mysteries." Diana explained: "In addition, other prophecy balls cannot be destroyed. Even if they are broken, they can be restored. At the same time, they cannot hear the real content of the prophecy."

"I see." Kyle suddenly realized, no wonder the Death Eaters started to tear down the house, but no one from the Department of Mysteries showed up, it turned out that they didn't care at all.

The two talked for a while, and Diana noticed that Kyle frequently turned his head to look at the door opposite.

"Want to help?" she asked.

"Yeah." Kyle nodded, "Since we're here, we have to do something."

"Have you thought about it?" Diana said, "There are quite a few Death Eaters coming this time, and a cat-leopard can't do much.

"Besides, for some reason, I can't help you."

"Ah, it's okay, I don't just have cats and leopards." Kyle said, opening his box.

A dark figure flashed out and rubbed Kyle's hand with his head excitedly.

"Nangdu leopard..." Diana's eyelids twitched.

However, this was not the end. Another big black creature squeezed out with great effort. It was a big dog with three heads.

Fluffy, the three-headed dog, was borrowed by Kyle after he took a detour during the Care of Magical Creatures class in the Forbidden Forest.

Now Lou Williams is several sizes bigger than before, and one of his legs is almost taller than Kyle.

Diana also saw a scaly head poking out of the box, but it didn't seem to like such a narrow place. It sprayed two flames from its nose and then went back in.

Fire dragon...from the looks of it, it seems to be a Norwegian Spinosaurus.

"Where did all this come from?" Diana asked, rubbing her forehead.

"I borrowed it." Kyle said, "Didn't you tell me last time not to attack the Death Eaters myself and to make the most of my own advantages? So I prepared these.

"Oh, I have another basilisk, but its vision cannot distinguish between friend and foe. It could easily hurt its own people in a place like this, so I didn't release it."

Diana rubbed her forehead harder.

She did have this intention before, but she didn't let Kyle do it so exaggeratedly.

"What's wrong?" Seeing that Diana hadn't spoken, Kyle could only ask first: "Isn't this enough?"

"Take the Nangdu leopard back." Diana said unhappily.

The basilisk is dangerous, but the leopard is safe? This thing wants to destroy the entire Ministry of Magic, and its efficiency is much faster than that of the basilisk.

"Oh." Kyle obediently hugged the struggling Nungu leopard and stuffed it back into the box.

Diana was frightened again when she saw this.

In the end, she simply stopped talking and pointed to a door on the right.

"You go through here and keep going forward, then you can see them."
