Chapter 713 Malfoy in Diagon Alley

Although the weather was not very good that day, it did not affect everyone's good mood at all.

Especially Harry, he hasn't been out for more than a month. Although he likes being with Sirius, it's always a bit boring after a long time.

So after walking out of the house, he seemed particularly excited.

"How do we get there?" Bill stood on the street, looking around vigilantly.

"Remus and Kingsley are driving us," said Sirius. "Oh, here they are."

As they were talking, a special car of the Ministry of Magic had stopped in front of them.

"Great," said Ron happily. "I thought we were going to take... that thing called the subway again, right?"

"There's nothing wrong with taking the tube." Hermione glanced at him.

"Of course, you're right." Ron sat in the car and stretched his limbs comfortably. "But in terms of convenience and comfort, the Ministry of Magic's car is definitely better."

This time Hermione did not refute, because what Ron said was true. The car that had been modified with magic was indeed much more comfortable and had enough space.

"Don't get used to sitting here. This is just a special situation. We have to protect Harry, especially since the Death Eaters attacked Diagon Alley some time ago." Mr. Weasley turned his head and said.

"He's under Level 1 security now, and there will be other people protecting us when we get to the Leaky Cauldron."

Harry said nothing. He was still a little uncomfortable with this special treatment, and he didn't want to be followed by a group of Aurors when he was shopping...except Lupin, of course.

"Here we are." A moment later the car slowed down into Charing Cross and stopped outside the Leaky Cauldron.

"How long will it take you?" Kingsley turned around and asked, "I'll pick you up when the time comes."

"About two hours," said Mr. Weasley, and they all got out of the car and walked into the bar.

"Great, he's here." Mr. Weasley waved happily as he entered the room.

Harry thought he was greeting the Auror, but when he looked up, he saw a familiar large man.

"Hagrid!" he said in surprise. "Why are you here?"

"Don't you want me to protect you?" Hagrid walked over, knocking over several tables as he went.

"No, of course not..." Harry shook his head repeatedly.

"Don't be nervous, I'm just kidding." Hagrid came over and gave Harry a hug that was enough to break his bones.

Kyle was sure that he had heard a creaking sound caused by the heavy load. If Hagrid had used a little more force, the bone spirit given by Sirius would have come in handy.

It was for this reason that when Hagrid wanted to greet him in the same way, Kyle rejected him without even thinking about it.

"Hagrid, is your mission over there finished?" Kyle asked, changing the subject.

"It's just over," said Hagrid. "Dumbledore thinks there's no need for us to watch those..." Hagrid glanced at the others around him and lowered his voice, "Well, you know what I mean."

“That’s pretty cool,” Kyle said.

"Yes, and I came back at the right time. The Ministry of Magic wanted to send a group of Aurors to protect Harry, but Dumbledore said I can do it." Hagrid said proudly, "Well, let's go to Diagon Alley quickly. We still have a lot of things to buy."

Although there had been an attack by Death Eaters, there were still quite a few people in the Leaky Cauldron because the Ministry of Magic had strengthened its security.

They walked through the bar and lined up in the backyard to undergo an Auror's developing potion check before finally passing through the door in the wall and entering Diagon Alley.

Compared to previous years, Diagon Alley is a little quieter now. Even though school is about to start, there are not many people on the streets, and everyone looks hurried.

In addition, large notices and wanted photos of Death Eaters were posted in conspicuous places, including walls and shop windows.

I have to admit that this kind of thing does affect the shopping experience a bit, but this is the decision of the Auror Office and Kyle can't change it.

"There are a lot of us, so we have to move faster," said Mrs. Weasley. Maybe it was because of the previous attack, but she didn't want to stay here for too long.

"First, Madam Malkin's robe shop."

Mrs. Weasley said, "Kyle, I noticed earlier that your clothes are a little short. You'd better buy new ones. And Harry, the same goes for you."

"Molly, there are too many of us to go to Madam Malkin's robe shop." Mr. Weasley said, "Why don't you take them with you, and Ginny, Hermione and I will go to Flourish and Blotts first.

"And Bill, you and Charlie go to the Men of Letters, remember to buy more parchment and ink."

"Okay, Dad."

"But..." Mrs. Weasley hesitated. Although she wanted to finish shopping as soon as possible, she didn't want everyone to separate.

"Don't worry." Kyle helped persuade him, "The Leaky Cauldron has at least three Aurors. With so many of us, there will be no problem."

"Oh well."

There were many people like Mrs. Weasley in Diagon Alley, and everyone was in a hurry.

When they arrived at Madam Malkin's robe shop, three people just walked out.

"You don't have to follow me. Maybe you didn't notice, Mom, I can go out shopping by myself." Malfoy walked in front in a dark green robe, complaining about something while looking back.

Then, right at the door of the store, he met Harry and others who were walking towards him.

"No wonder I smelled a bad odor just now." Malfoy narrowed his eyes and looked at Harry sarcastically.

"Where's your Mudblood friend, Potter? Is he too scared to come..."

Malfoy's words came to an abrupt end as he saw someone he didn't want to meet at all.

"Kyle, Kyle..." Malfoy's eyes were a little evasive, "Why are you here?"

"Of course I'm shopping." Kyle said casually, "School is about to start, you can't let me go to class with last year's textbooks."

"Yes, yes, you're right." Malfoy lowered his head. For some reason, Kyle always felt that Malfoy was weird today, but he couldn't tell what was wrong.

It felt like Malfoy was feeling guilty, but that was not right. Why would he feel guilty when he saw him? Before Kyle could figure it out, Harry and Ron had already taken out their wands.

"I'm warning you, Malfoy." Harry said angrily, "If you scold Hermione again, I will make you pay."

Even stranger is coming...

If it were any other time, Malfoy would have responded without hesitation or made some sarcastic remarks to Harry, but today he seemed like a different person and didn't respond at all.

"You'd better ask them to put their things away, Sirius."

Narcissa Malfoy came out from the back and looked at Sirius coldly, "If they dare to lay a hand on my son, I will make sure they never hold a wand again."

"Really? Then give it a try." Sirius stepped forward and blocked Harry behind him, "Let's see who of us can cast spells faster."

As if she was angry, Narcissa Malfoy's already pale face became even paler.

"Mom, let's go..." Malfoy whispered, "Don't waste time, I still need to buy new books."

The tension between the two sides is growing.

But Narcissa Malfoy ignored him and continued to stare at Sirius... and Kyle who was standing next to him.

She had just heard what Malfoy said and already knew Kyle's identity.

Is that him? The one the Dark Lord wants...

Narcissa Malfoy turned her wand slightly.

It seemed that creating a conflict here and taking the opportunity to kill him was also a good option. Although she might be arrested by the Aurors, in this way, Draco would not have to take any risks.

Thinking of this, Narcissa Malfoy's breathing began to become rapid.

At the same time, Kyle, who was watching the show, suddenly sensed an inexplicable murderous intent.

He was very familiar with this feeling, it was exactly the same as when those Death Eaters saw him before.

And there are only two people here who are related to the Death Eaters.

"Is it directed at yourself? Or everyone?"

Although he was not sure about the Malfoy family's intentions, Kyle immediately grasped the wand in his sleeve to be on the safe side, and at the same time, he quietly opened the lock of the box with his other hand.

Ever since he was attacked by three Death Eaters last time, Kyle has never put away his box and always carries it with him wherever he goes.

"Oh, come on, sir... ma'am..."

At this time, Madam Malkin came out from behind the clothes rack, still holding a tape measure in her hand. "I don't want anyone to fight in front of my store. If you insist on doing this, I will have to call the Aurors."

"Mom, let's go." Malfoy said again, with a hint of pleading in his voice.

Not sure if it was because of Malfoy's words or because she didn't want to deal with the Aurors, Narcissa Malfoy took a step back and put away her wand first.

She glanced at the people in front of her, and her eyes paused on Kyle for a moment.

"You can't protect them forever, and neither can Dumbledore," she said meaningfully.

"Let's go, Draco." She raised her head and said in a deliberately loud voice, "Throw away the robe you're wearing later. I simply can't stand buying clothes in the same place as those scum... Tufan Clothing Store has better ones."

Malfoy followed him in silence, wanting nothing more than to get away from here as quickly as possible.

"Of course, this is the best." Sirius strode into the store, and Madam Malkin's face looked much better.

"The Malfoy family is like this. It makes me want to beat them up." Ron and Harry also walked into the store cursing.

Kyle stayed where he was, looking at Narcissa Malfoy's back, with his wand slightly raised.

If he hasn't noticed something is wrong by now, he might as well change his name to Ron.

That Narcissa was the source of the previous murderous intent, and her target was most likely herself.

He was not sure before, but the look the other party gave him at the end made Kyle completely certain of this idea.

Although he couldn't use Legilimency as a passive magic like Dumbledore, it was still fine if he just wanted to make some simple judgments.

Narcissa Malfoy only looked at Harry with disgust, but when she looked at herself, there was a noticeable change.

Although she hid it well, Kyle still noticed it.

But this didn't make sense. He had no grudge against the Malfoy family, and his relationship with Draco Malfoy... although it couldn't be said to be friendly, it wasn't so bad that they would fight to the death.

Or how high a price did Voldemort offer that even Malfoy, who always only wanted to protect himself, was tempted? "Come in quickly, Kyle, what are you still doing outside? Madam Malkin needs to measure your height."

Mrs. Weasley's voice brought Kyle back to reality.

"I'll be right there." He glanced again at the two people who had already entered another store, shook his head, and walked into Madam Malkin's robe shop.

It was the wrong place. There were too many people in Diagon Alley, and it was broad daylight... Kyle didn't want to cause himself unnecessary trouble.

Besides, Hogwarts is about to start. Even if Narcissa Malfoy really wants to do something, she can't come to the school to find me.

Of course, if she really dared to do so, Kyle wouldn't mind introducing her to his magical animal friends.

"What are you looking at outside?" Mrs. Weasley said when they arrived at the store, "Don't pay attention to them. People in the Malfoy family are like this."

"No, I just saw a classmate," Kyle said.

"Yes, everyone comes to Diagon Alley to buy things now." Mrs. Weasley didn't care too much.

No one was very interested in Malfoy's affairs, and Madam Malkin was particularly absent-minded.

By the time they came out of the store, the people who were responsible for buying other things had also returned.

"Have you seen Malfoy and his mother?" Harry couldn't help asking as soon as they met.

"I see." Hagrid said nonchalantly, "But they don't dare to act rashly in Diagon Alley. Is there anything else you want to buy?"

"We'd like to go to Fred and George's shop," said Ron. "Is that okay?"

"We have to hurry."

"It's all right, Molly," said Mr. Weasley. "You really don't have to be so nervous."

"Yeah." Sirius nodded in agreement, "It's not as dangerous here as you think."

Seeing that everyone said so, Mrs. Weasley had no choice but to agree.

Several people started walking towards Weasley's Joke Shop, with Hermione, Bill and others who had been there before leading the way.

When they passed by the Owl Shop, they also bought a lot of owl nuts and some potion ingredients at the pharmacy.

Harry and Ron also bought a little symbolically, because they were not sure whether they would continue to take the Potions class, so they only bought the most basic things. Even if they could not use them, they could give them to Hermione.

Everyone continued to move forward.

"This is number 92...just ahead..."

In fact, Hermione didn't need to remind everyone, everyone had already seen it.

Unlike other places that were covered with notices and wanted posters, Fred and George's shop window was as attractive as a fireworks display.

The window on the right was covered with a huge poster with dazzling yellow letters on it.

Why are you worried about You-Know-Who? You should be concerned.

Constipation! ...

Harry and Ron burst into laughter, but Mrs. Weasley was incredulous and murmured:

"Constipation Ren...they will be assassinated!"

"No." Bill explained with a smile: "This poster was put up two months ago. The mysterious man obviously doesn't pay attention to such trivial matters. Go in and take a look. You will be surprised. I have to say that this store they created is really interesting."

After saying that, he led the way in.

Fred and George were not in the store. They should still be in the Ministry of Magic at this time.

When the Dementors were rampant some time ago, they had been busy in the store with the Patronus necklace, and a lot of work had piled up, which needed to be completed.

"Hello, distinguished guest." A neatly dressed house elf hurried over and said skillfully, "The latest products are on the shelf next to the counter. Constipation kernels are still on sale, only one knut."

"You are... Dobby?" Harry looked at him carefully for a moment and said in surprise.

"Mr. Harry Potter!" Dobby then noticed Harry in the crowd and became more excited.

"Dobby is so glad to see Mr. Harry Potter here," he screamed, instantly attracting a lot of attention.

"Look, Harry Potter is also in Diagon Alley..."

"I knew he wouldn't be afraid of the mysterious man..."

People began to murmur.

Harry suddenly became nervous and quickly lowered his head, trying to cover the scar on his forehead with his hair.

But Dobby, who was in an excited state, did not notice this and pulled Harry into the store.

This place was bigger than he had imagined. The shelves were filled with a wide variety of goods, and each one was very interesting. Harry looked around and soon forgot the embarrassment he had just felt.

"This is a daydream spell. It can quickly enter a high-quality fantasy that lasts for thirty minutes."

"This is a quick-acting candy for skipping classes. Mr. Harry Potter definitely doesn't need it, right?"

"Defence Against the Dark Arts products, including curse-proof gloves and hats, are the most popular."

Dobby introduced the products in the store diligently and conscientiously. Harry was so overwhelmed with excitement that he liked everything here.

"Dobby..." He stopped at the Defense Against the Dark Arts product area, interrupting the chattering house-elf. "Why are you here? Did Fred and George hire you?"

"No, Dobby is here to help." The elf shook his big ears, "In September, Dobby will go back to his previous job. Dobby likes it there more."

"Where did you work before? What was it?" Harry asked casually, looking at a small dummy holding a bomb on the shelf.

"Dobby can't tell."

Almost reflexively, Harry quickly turned his head to look at Dobby.

Because he knew that revealing the master's secrets was absolutely forbidden for house-elves, and when they had this idea, even if it was just a little thought, they would immediately punish themselves.

The house-elf had done this often since he first met Dobby in second year.

But what Harry didn't expect was that this time Dobby did nothing but just stood there calmly.

This means that he really doesn't want to say it, not that he can't say it.

Harry breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that Dobby had really found a job he liked.

"That's fine," Harry said with a smile.

"I want to buy this." He pointed at the little man on the shelf, "How much is it?"

"A decoy bomb can create a lot of noise, so it costs two Galleons." Dobby blurted out, "But if it's Mr. Harry Potter, only one Galleon will be enough. That's all Dobby can offer."

"What about this?" Harry looked at a glass marble again. There was white mist inside, and it looked like a miniature version of a prophecy ball.

"A smoke ball can quickly generate a cloud of fog, ten Sickles," Dobby said.

"I want it." Harry immediately took out his purse.

Before, in the last task of the Triwizard Tournament, when he was captured by Voldemort, Kyle had used something similar to cover the entire mountain with fog, which was extremely convenient.

But he didn't expect it to be so cheap.

"Wait." At this time, Kyle came over from behind and explained, "Actually, this isn't the large-scale mist orb you've seen before. It's a replica I made. To be honest, the effect is not even a little bit worse."

"It doesn't matter." Harry thought for a while and said nonchalantly, "At most I can just use a few more."

He grabbed a handful of gold coins and stuffed them at Dobby, "I want all of these!"
