Chapter 745: Real Aged Honey Wine

Just like Kell said, Madam Pomfrey didn't ask what happened, or maybe she was so frightened that she didn't remember it for a moment.

Well, an unconscious professor was sent to the school hospital by students. This kind of thing is rare even in Hogwarts.

It wasn't until Kell explained the reason to her that Madam Pomfrey finally breathed a sigh of relief.

When she calmed down, she noticed that Slughorn and Ron were indeed just unconscious, just as Kyle said.

"Dumbledore is always like this. The professors he finds are becoming less and less reliable..." Madam Pomfrey couldn't help but complain: "He is obviously a Potions professor, but he can eat something mixed with love potions."

Kyle shrugged and said nothing.

What Madam Pomfrey said was true. Although the aphrodisiac had no taste, it could make the color of the food brighter, making it look as if it had been waxed. If you looked carefully, you would definitely be able to see it.

Wizards who deal with potions all year round should know this better.

Kyle couldn't say for others, but at least he was sure that Snape would never make such a low-level mistake.

So what Madam Pomfrey said was not wrong. Slughorn was indeed not very reliable in some aspects.

After a few complaints, Madam Pomfrey asked Kell to put Ron and Slughorn on two separate beds.

The antidote to the love potion was not difficult to make. Madam Pomfrey took out several bottles and jars from the shelf and poured the potions into two cups.

"Oh, no, we don't have enough Buffy's brain wakener. One of you two, go find Slughorn..." Madam Pomfrey subconsciously glanced at the two people on the bed, and quickly changed her words: "Well, go find Professor Snape, he should have it."

"No need." Kanna said quickly, "If it's the Bafey brain stimulant, I have it here."

She pulled out a sealed potion bottle and handed it to Madam Pomfrey.

“Is this okay?”

"Absolutely." Madam Pomfrey just took a look, then opened the bottle and poured the potion into the cup.

Then she plucked a few rue petals from the flowerpot next to her, coated them with a layer of soil, crushed them and threw them in.

In less than five minutes, two cups of antidote were ready.

At this moment, Harry just ran in with Professor McGonagall, panting.

"Oh my God, oh my God... Can anyone tell me what is going on!" Looking at the two people lying motionless on the hospital bed, Professor McGonagall turned pale and almost fell down. Fortunately, Kanna came forward in time to help her.

"Thank you, Miss Prince." Professor McGonagall said, holding her chest, "What happened in the school? What happened to them..."

"It's okay, Professor. I just drank the love potion by accident."

Kyle stepped forward and said, "I think they are too lively. In order to send them here, I had to use the Stunning Spell... Well, it's also for their reputation."

"Just a love potion?" Professor McGonagall was stunned at first, and it took her a few seconds to react. Then she turned to look at Harry beside her in silence.

He just rushed into the office and shouted that something happened. Without saying anything else, he pulled me and ran here.

Coupled with the panicked looks and discussions of other people in the castle, Professor McGonagall almost thought that Death Eaters had broken into Hogwarts.

"I understand that you care about your friend, Potter, but next time you encounter something, you must get to the point first." Professor McGonagall said unhappily.

Harry nodded awkwardly, and he also noticed that he was indeed a little too nervous just now.

"Okay, Minerva, we'll talk about your business later." Madam Pomfrey came over with the antidote, "Please, wake someone up first."

Kyle waved his wand and Ron opened his eyes immediately.

"Where is this, where is Romilda..."

"There's no Romilda here." Madam Pomfrey walked over, pinched Ron's mouth without saying a word, and poured the antidote into his mouth.

"In fact, you can just find a reason to trick him into drinking it." Harry watched Madam Pomfrey's actions and muttered softly, "In his current state, this is not difficult."

Madam Pomfrey seemed not to have heard it. She was in no mood to think of any reasons at the moment. It would be more efficient to just pour the liquid in.

Soon, Ron drank the entire cup of antidote.

Harry immediately looked at him nervously. Ron, who was struggling, suddenly trembled all over, and then an expression of extreme fear appeared on his face.

"Where is this...Oh my God! What have I done!" He grabbed his hair and wished he could squeeze himself into the gap at the head of the bed.

"Okay, it's back to normal." Madam Pomfrey said, "Remember not to eat anything else next time."

She picked up another cup of antidote from the table.

Kyle pointed his wand again at the right moment.

Like Ron, Slughorn began howling as soon as he woke up.

"Ah... Rosmerta, where are you, you are the lady's mantle in the beauty potion, your hair is shining like the felicity in the crucible."

"Oh, Ms. Rosmerta's hair is golden?" Connor looked at Kyle in confusion.

"Now that you mention it..." Kyle thought for a moment, "It shouldn't be. At least it's not the dazzling gold color of the Felicity Potion."

But Madam Pomfrey didn't care about that. She came to Slughorn and poured the antidote into him in the same way.

A few seconds later...

There was another scream, and Slughorn hunched over, trying to hide his large body under the thin sheets.

"Okay Professor Slughorn, we don't have time to play games with you."

Professor McGonagall walked forward and pulled back the bed sheet. "Could you please tell me what's going on?"

"It was Rosmerta!" Slughorn covered his face, looking like an eggplant hit by frost. "She gave me the pineapple candied fruit with love potion. She knew I couldn't refuse it. I told her so."

"It's really Madam Rosmerta... are you sure?" asked Professor McGonagall.

"Of course." Slughorn said angrily, and then jumped off the bed with an agility that was not in line with his size. "No, I'm going to go find her and ask her clearly!"

"I'd better go." Professor McGonagall glanced at him, "Now everyone is saying that you were attacked by Death Eaters. You'd better go for a walk around the castle."

After saying that, Professor McGonagall left the school hospital.

After she left, Slughorn did not go to the castle as she requested, but sat back on the bed with a depressed look.

Ron next to him seemed to be hit hard as well.

But it's not surprising. Most people who drink love drugs will be like this after waking up, especially when the whole process is witnessed by others.

The atmosphere in the ward was somewhat awkward.

"Would you like something to drink to perk you up?" Kyle said. "I have some wine and mead. Would you like some?"

"I'd like a glass of mead, if that's okay," Slughorn murmured. He really needed something to drink right now.

Kyle took out a golden cup and shook it gently in his hand. The empty cup was immediately filled with golden mead.

"Nice Re-Enchantment," said Slughorn absently.

He didn't think much of it at first, until Kyle poured the mead into the cup that had held the antidote.

As soon as the golden cup was removed, the smell of mead seemed to spread all at once, and the whole room seemed to be filled with a faint fragrance.

"Oh, Merlin..." Slughorn no longer cared about being melancholy and moved his nose vigorously.

"My child, this must be the most authentic oak-aged mead."

“I don’t know if it’s oak, but it’s definitely aged.” Kyle glanced at the gold cup in his hand and muttered quietly.

However, the voice was too soft, and no one heard it except Kanna next to him.

On the other side, Slughorn couldn't wait to pick up the cup and take a sip. In an instant, a look of satisfaction appeared on his face.

Kyle stared at him for a while and asked quietly, "Professor, what do you think?"

"Excellent." Slughorn smacked his lips and said, "I was wrong just now. This is not ordinary oak-aged wine, but iron oak, right!"

"Iron Oak..." Harry asked in confusion, "What is that?"

As he spoke, he took another sip of mead.

"Professor," Kyle asked again, "You don't think there's anything wrong with the taste."

"What? Of course not," said Slughorn. "This is the best mead I have ever tasted. Of course, if you'll give me another glass..."

Kyle automatically ignored the rest of the words. He just needed to know that the wine was drinkable. The rest didn't matter.

Ever since he got the golden cup back, he has always wanted to try the wine that came out of it, but he didn't dare... After all, more than a thousand years have passed, who knows if the wine is still drinkable.

But now it is certain that there is no problem at all, and he poured some for Ron afterwards.

Both of them have been drugged, so we can't favor one over the other.

Ron couldn't wait any longer. As soon as Kyle finished pouring the wine, he grabbed the glass and poured it into his mouth without even paying attention to what Harry said.

Seeing this whole set of actions, Slughorn frowned. This kind of good wine should be savored slowly. Wouldn't it be better to drink pumpkin juice to quench thirst?

"Wow... Really good, much better than the Three Broomsticks!" Ron smacked his lips, then looked at Harry, "What did you say just now?"

"Nothing." Harry shook his head and glanced at Slughorn thoughtfully.

As the mead in the cup became less and less, he was reluctant to drink it. He just glanced at Kyle from time to time, as if he wanted to have another refill but was too embarrassed to say it.

"Who brought the wine in?"

Fortunately, at this time, Madam Pomfrey came over angrily, her sharp eyes swept around the room, and finally her sight fell on Slughorn.

"This is the hospital wing, Professor Slughorn, not your office!" she said coldly. "Now, take your wine and get out!"

"No, actually I..."

"Yes, Professor Slughorn, let's go back first." Kyle interrupted him, "When I brought you here, many people saw it, and they seemed to have misunderstood something. You have to go and clarify it."

"You're right." Slughorn finally remembered what Professor McGonagall had said before. Perhaps he was in a much better mood, or perhaps he was afraid that Madam Pomfrey would snatch the wine away. He did not choose to continue hiding here. He stood up, holding the glass, and walked out of the school hospital.

Seeing this, others followed suit.

After returning to the castle, Kyle found that it was just as Professor McGonagall had said, a mess.

Almost all the students gathered in the auditorium, discussing what had happened, and everyone had an undisguised look of fear on their faces.

But this is also convenient... I don't have to run around the castle.

Slughorn walked into the Great Hall and was spotted immediately.

"Slughorn?"

"Are you okay?"

"You're resurrected?"

The discussions suddenly became louder, a non-stop buzz.

"Quiet, quiet down!" Slughorn walked to the middle of the hall and said loudly, "I am very happy that so many people care about me, but please rest assured that I just made a mistake when brewing the potion."

"Then why did you lose consciousness?" someone asked.

"That's a good question," said Slughorn. "Remember how I always told you to concentrate on brewing potions and not to be distracted? This is why.

"Some potions can be very dangerous if something goes wrong during their brewing process."

Although many people expressed doubts about this, they had to believe it when they saw how energetic he looked.

After realizing that it was a misunderstanding, everyone's emotions gradually stabilized and they left the auditorium one after another.

"I think I have completed the task, right?"

When there were only five of them left in the hall, Slughorn sat on a bench and said, "I have an unwelcome request. Could you please forget what happened today, or at least don't tell anyone about it."

"That's no problem," Kyle said, "but professor, how come you didn't find out about the love potion?"

Slughorn turned his head away, as if he didn't want to recall this humiliating incident anymore.

"Let's just let it go, okay?" He said softly, "Let's not mention it anymore, just pretend nothing happened and you didn't see me this morning."

"Yes, yes..." Ron nodded repeatedly beside him, "Also, don't tell anyone else, especially Lavender. I don't want her to misunderstand."

"I'm sorry, Ron..." Harry's eyes were a little vague, "In fact, when I took you out of the common room, you had already met Lavender.

"She came to give you a birthday present, but you told her to go away so as not to delay you from calling Romilda... Don't you remember?"

Ron's face turned pale, his mouth opened, and a trembling sob came out of his throat.

"Damn it..." He held his head with both hands and said angrily, "Why did that Romi Davanni give me a love potion? I don't even know her!"

"She should have prepared it for me, I guess," Harry whispered. "She gave me that chocolate cauldron for Christmas, but because Hermione reminded me that she bought the love potion, I threw it under the bed."

"Then why did you give it to me!" Ron didn't understand.

"It's not from me." Harry explained quickly, "Remember? When you got out of bed this morning, you accidentally kicked part of the gift under my bed."

Ron finally remembered after being reminded by Harry.

He had indeed found the chocolate cauldron when he was picking up presents, and because the packaging was intact, he didn't think much about it and took it out along with his own presents.

In addition, he hadn't eaten chocolate for a long time since the school banned everyone from going to Hogsmeade, so he couldn't help but take a bite.

"I'm sorry." Ron bowed his head again, "But you really should have thrown it away. I mean, use a cleaning spell, not just put it under the bed."

"I...I forgot..." Harry whispered.

"Ron, is today your birthday?" Connor suddenly asked.

"Ah, yes." Ron sighed.

"Sorry, I don't know and I don't have any gifts prepared." Kanna rummaged through her small bag and took out a bottle.

"This is the antidote for the love potion I prepared at the school hospital. I'm giving it to you as a gift." Kanna said, "This way, you don't have to worry about what happened today."

"Great, thank you." Ron took the bottle and said happily. He was really scared.

"This is mine." Slughorn next to him also took out a bottle, which also contained a potion.

I don't know if it was because they had the same experience or if it was to pay for the silence, but what he gave was actually a small bottle of Felicis. The golden potion was sparkling in the bottle, and Ron couldn't take his eyes off it.

"Luck potion?!" He couldn't help but raise his voice, "Is this really for me?"

"Of course." Slughorn felt a little distressed, but still nodded and said, "As long as you don't..."

"I won't tell anyone what happened today!" Ron said firmly.

"Okay, this is mine." Kyle also took out what he had prepared.

Compared to Connor and Slughorn's gift, his gift looked a bit shabby. It was just a big box full of Honeydukes candies and chocolates.

However, his gift was in a box with a golden-red ribbon on it, which was obviously prepared in advance.

"Thanks, I haven't had these for two months... Mum won't let me go to Diagon Alley, and Fred and George won't bring them to me," said Ron.

After receiving three gifts in a row, including a bottle of precious lucky potion, Ron's mood suddenly improved a lot.

He simply took a piece of fudge and put it in his mouth, then gave all the chocolates in the box to Harry. He didn't want to see this kind of thing for a while.
