Chapter 754 Shop and Professor

Almost everyone knows that the only real holidays at Hogwarts are Christmas and the end of the school year. The so-called Easter holiday is simply using two weeks to complete two months' worth of homework.

Of course, this year is no exception. In fact, the homework this year is not only numerous, but also difficult.

On the first day of the holiday, the library was packed with people, and several important books were borrowed out within an hour.

However, later people also looked for familiar friends or people from the same college and used the copy spell to make do.

If you don't know how to copy the spell, or no one in the entire college arrives at the library early, you can only wait.

"This is crazy..." Ron said as he hurriedly put on his robes in the Gryffindor common room, "I got up so early just to go to the library.

"I usually don't get up until after nine on weekends, but it's not even seven-thirty yet!"

"You should stop talking." Harry was also putting on his robes. "Hermione has already made it very clear on the message coin that the library is getting more and more crowded and has already been full. If we don't go over, she will have no excuse to save a seat for us.

"Do you want to do your homework in the common room by yourself?"

Hearing what Harry said, Ron subconsciously quickened his movements.

If he were to do this difficult homework alone, he would not be able to finish it in two months, let alone two weeks.

And the same goes for Harry, so they have to go to the library, and only with Hermione's help will they be able to finish those assignments before school starts?

"Crazy, professors and students alike, everyone is going crazy!" Ron muttered softly, and ran out of the common room with Harry.

There was no one in the corridor.

The two of them ran down the stairs quickly.

"Harry, have you figured out how to deal with Slughorn?" Ron asked when he had time. "Did he invite you to a dinner party or something?"

"No," said Harry. "He hasn't invited me in a long time, but I heard McLaggen goes there almost three times a week, and Hermione goes twice a week."

"Why don't you just go over there?" Ron suggested, "He likes you so much, he will definitely not refuse."

"No, that would be too obvious." Harry shook his head. "I'm not going to a dinner party, but I'm trying to get Slughorn's memory of Voldemort. If I go directly there, he will definitely be on guard."

"What should we do then?"

"I don't know either." Harry sighed, "But Hermione said last night that she would find a way to help me, but she didn't tell me how to do it."

"I guess she must want to ask for you." Ron thought for a while and said thoughtfully: "You just said that she attends dinner parties twice a week. She will definitely find an opportunity."

"I hope so."

Perhaps because he was thinking of Dumbledore's mission, or perhaps because he was too absorbed in what he was saying, Harry didn't pay attention for a moment and almost bumped into someone walking towards him.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to do that." Harry apologized subconsciously.

He didn't see clearly who the other person was, but he saw a familiar black robe. He would never forget this color and style even if fifty years passed.

No way…

Harry's heart skipped a beat.

"Ah, Potter...hasn't anyone ever taught you to be aware of other people around you when going up and down stairs?"

A cold voice came.

"Or do you think the entire castle should serve you, the... um, savior?"

You can’t be wrong…

Harry raised his head and looked at the gloomy face and greasy black hair of the person opposite him.

"Snape..." he blurted out.

"You should call me Professor Snape, Potter!" Snape said coldly, "Disrespecting the professor, Gryffindor will deduct ten points!

"Another ten points for making loud noises in the corridor!"

"I didn't!" Harry couldn't help but raise his voice, "I didn't make any loud noise."

"This is not up to you, Potter." Snape glanced at him. "Just because you are called the savior by others, do you think you can change the school rules at will?"

"I'm not arrogant, and I don't want others to call me the savior!" Harry looked at Snape, his neck veins bulging, he was breathing heavily, his eyes turned red, and he looked like an angry buffalo.

"We're just having a normal chat!" he said, glaring at Snape, his hand subconsciously grabbing the wand in his pocket.

It seemed that if Snape made another sarcastic remark, he would give the other party a severe blow.

But his intentions were too obvious.

"Why, you want to do something to me?" Snape sneered, "30 points deducted from Gryffindor.

"To be honest, I really hope you can take out your wand so that you can go home obediently. There is a return train today, just in two hours.

"If you're lucky, you'll be the only passenger."

Harry's face turned even redder and he looked like he might explode at any moment.

Ron, who was nearby, was still sober enough and pulled him back in time, preventing Harry from pulling his hand out of his pocket.

Snape waited for a while, and seeing that Harry didn't move, he shook his head in disappointment and walked past them.

"Bastard, I'm going to kill him!" Harry suddenly said through gritted teeth when Snape's figure disappeared around the corner of the stairs.

"I know, I think so too, but there's no need, Harry." Ron quickly persuaded: "Snape is a professor, you can't risk being expelled by doing something to him, it's not worth it."

"I don't care!" Harry pulled out his wand, "Even if I'm expelled, I'll make him pay the price!"

"Yes, yes, I know... but it's really not worth it." Ron pulled Harry's arm and walked downstairs, saying, "If you use a spell to attack the professor, you will definitely be expelled, and then even Headmaster Dumbledore won't be able to protect you.

"Think about the task he gave you. Maybe Snape did it on purpose just to get you kicked out of school."

Harry stopped dead in his tracks.

"Hurry up, Harry." Ron continued to drag him downstairs. "We all know what kind of person Snape is. There's really no need for you to risk being expelled by going against him."

"Ron, maybe you're right," said Harry.

"Have you figured it out?" Ron said happily. "Great, let's go to the library quickly. Hermione is still waiting for us."

"No." Harry shook his head and glanced upstairs. "Go to the library by yourself. I have something to do."

"What?" Ron was stunned for a moment. "Don't tell me you're going to look for Snape. Didn't you just say..."

"Ron," Harry interrupted, "I mean, there's a chance Snape might actually want to kick me out of school."

He lowered his voice and said, "Snape and Malfoy have always had a good relationship, but we all know that Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater, and Snape must be one too, but he somehow managed to gain Dumbledore's trust."

"What do you want to do?" Ron said, "And we've already guessed this, but no professor is willing to listen to us, right?"

"That's because we have no evidence." Harry said seriously, "As long as we can find evidence, we can expose Snape's lies... Now is a good opportunity. Snape actually came to the eighth floor."

"What does this matter?" Ron didn't understand. "He's a professor, so it shouldn't matter where he goes."

"But we've never seen him on the eighth floor before," said Harry. "Besides, Professor Dumbledore is not in school today, so he can't be going to the headmaster's office."

"You mean, he has another purpose?" Ron finally understood.

"Right." Harry nodded, "So I have to go and see. As long as Snape is doing something bad, I can expose him in front of all the professors!"

Maybe it was because he had just been deducted 50 points, but Harry's expression was very determined. He turned around and ran upstairs.

Ron hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and followed.

"Wait for me, Harry, it's too dangerous for you to be alone."

The two of them returned to the eighth floor again. When they stepped into the corridor, for some unknown reason, they all slowed down their pace and walked cautiously like thieves.

"Do you know where Snape went?" Ron asked.

"I don't know." Harry said, "But the eighth floor is only this big. We can slowly look for it."

But now that he was here, he could only accompany Harry and continue searching for Snape room by room.

But what the two didn't expect was that after they walked around the entire eighth floor, they still hadn't found Snape.

Unwilling to give up, Harry decided to try again. This time, he not only quickened his pace, he didn't even bother to hide his intentions and directly pushed open the door of every suspicious classroom.

But he still didn't find Snape.

"Strange, why not?" Harry scratched his hair, his face full of confusion.

"Maybe he went to Professor McGonagall's office," Ron said tentatively.

"Impossible." Harry shook his head.

He had already decided that Snape was doing something bad, so how could he go to Professor McGonagall's office? Wouldn't that be a trap? "It could also be the Room of Requirement." Ron accidentally saw the tapestry of a dancing troll on the wall nearby.

"Don't forget, the Room of Requirement is broken," Harry reminded him. "We've tried countless times in the past few days and there's no way we can get in."

"Yeah, so where the hell is Snape?"

The two were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't notice a man walking angrily towards them from behind, until...

"Ouch!" Ron cried out in pain, turned his head and shouted, "Who hit me...Hermione? What are you doing!"

"I should be the one saying this!" Hermione, still furious, raised her hand again and threw a small mirror over.

This time, Ron dodged it, and the mirror hit Harry right on the head.

"What on earth are you doing? Why haven't you gone to the library yet?!"

"We're looking for Snape." Ron immediately thought of something else, "Wait, why are you back?"

It would have been fine if he didn't say anything, because Hermione got even angrier when he did.

Of course she was kicked out. In order to save a seat for two people, she turned down at least seven or eight people.

But the library is so small, and other places were already full.

Then, Madam Pince, fed up with the situation, kicked her out as well, freeing up three seats for the others.

Hermione was furious when she thought of this. She had clearly sent messages to the two of them an hour ago, but they had actually taken so long.

"I'm sorry." Harry explained quickly and told him what had just happened.

"So, you deducted fifty points from Gryffindor?" Hermione didn't know what to say. "Didn't I remind you a long time ago, Harry, not to go against Snape? It's not good for you."

"I didn't go against him." Harry stiffened his neck and said, "He always finds an excuse to deduct my points."

"Then you can talk to Professor McGonagall and see if she can add those points back." Hermione was too lazy to say more to them and turned away.

Harry cursed Snape in his heart.

But what Harry didn't know was that the person he was thinking about was actually just separated from him by a wall.

Moreover, half an hour ago, Snape stood where he was now, and pounded the wall twice with mixed feelings.

At this time, Snape had already taken a quick look around the Room of Requirement and returned to the hallway.

"Where's Kanna?" he asked coldly, looking at Kyle in front of him.

"In the Magic Text Classroom," Kyle said, "It's the third classroom on the left on the second floor. If you have nothing to do, it's best not to disturb her."

Don't bother Connor?

Snape seemed to have heard something outrageous, and resisted the urge to draw his wand. "Do you know what you are saying?"

"Of course, Professor." Kyle spread his hands indifferently, "But is there any problem with this? Learning magic runes requires concentration. Sometimes if you are distracted for a moment, you may not understand the following content. You are not going to mess up, are you..."

Snape's expression froze.

"What?" Kyle tried to hold back his laughter. "Professor, what do you think I meant?"

"Of course that's true." Snape took a deep breath and used his strong face to hide his true thoughts.

"I'm warning you, stay away from her!"

"I can't do it." Kyle looked into Snape's eyes and said word by word, "Yes, you heard me right... Impossible, I can't do it, don't even think about it!"

Snape exploded, and the good mood he had gained by using the fifty points from Gryffindor was gone in an instant.

But soon he seemed to have thought of something and calmed down again.

"Then you'd better behave yourself." Snape gritted his teeth and squeezed out his voice, "Don't let me see you do anything excessive again, otherwise, you will definitely regret it. I mean what I say!"

"Don't worry." This time Kyle agreed without even thinking about it.

There's no way he could see what I was saying.

Kyle immediately put on a standard fake smile and said attentively, "Well, professor, the Potions classroom is on the third floor. I'll take you there."

In the past few days, he has become very familiar with this place and knows exactly which classroom holds which class.

Snape didn't say anything else and just followed Kyle to the third floor.

During this process, neither of them spoke, and the atmosphere became a little awkward.

Seemingly feeling a little awkward, when they reached the third floor, Kyle took the initiative to speak and broke the silence.

"Professor. Have you ever thought about changing your job?"

"What do you mean?" Snape narrowed his eyes.

"Don't get me wrong." Kyle stopped in front of a classroom door. "I mean, I want to open a potion shop or something like that. I happen to have a shop in Diagon Alley, which was given to me by Sirius."

"Really? That's very generous of him." Snape said sinisterly, "Thank you. So what do you mean?"

"Nothing." Kyle shrugged, "It's just... well, if Professor Dumbledore makes any excessive requests, such as asking you to do a dangerous task, you can actually refuse.

"Even if you can't be a professor because of this, you can still sell potions in Diagon Alley. My friends, the Weasley brothers, opened a shop in Diagon Alley. To be honest, they make quite a lot of money, at least much more than a professor's salary."

"What do you mean?" Snape said, his face tense, not understanding why Kyle suddenly said such... incomprehensible words.

Subconsciously, Snape thought of a possibility, but he quickly rejected it.

Impossible... Dumbledore would never tell anyone else his identity. Even if he was really senile, that person would not be a student.

He stared into Kyle's eyes, as if trying to find the answer.

Unfortunately, Kyle is not Harry. Under the protection of the brain, he can't see anything.

Subconsciously, Snape reached into the pocket of his robe, where there was a small bottle.

Veritaserum... He brought it with him when he went out today.

"That's good." Kyle smiled and didn't care about Snape's actions.

He pointed to the door next to him, "This is the Potions classroom, but Professor, I must say that there's actually nothing to see here, you might be a little disappointed."

Potions is probably the only course here that has not changed much. Apart from the types of potions that need to be prepared, the rest of the process is almost exactly the same as it is now.

But just as Kyle was about to leave, he was stopped by Snape.

"What do you know?" he asked in a deep voice.

"I don't know." Kyle said with a smile, "It's just that the Death Eaters are rampant right now. If Dumbledore asks the professor to deal with them one day, you just have to think of a reason to refuse...even if it's for Connor."

Snape was silent, not knowing what he was thinking. After a long while, he said softly, "The professor's job is to protect the students."

"I know." Kyle nodded. "I just said it casually. Professor, you don't have to take it seriously."
