Chapter 768 Peacock Cedric

The Thestral flew higher and higher. Connor leaned her head out of the carriage and waved to Kyle. When passing a tower, she saw Snape standing there.

But in the blink of an eye, the other person disappeared again, as if he had never appeared.

"What's wrong?" Furong noticed that Kanna was staring at the castle and couldn't help asking.

"Nothing." Kanna shook her head, wondering if she had seen it wrong.

The Thestral was moving very fast. In less than a minute, the carriage turned into a blurry black dot and disappeared.

On the field, Kyle put down his hand, turned around and asked, "How are you going to get back? Take the train? It should still be in time if you rush over now."

"Although it's nice to relive the feeling of school, I'd rather use Apparition." Bill shrugged and said, "The train is really too slow. Since graduation, I really can't stand wasting half a day on traveling."

"I'll wait for you at Grimmauld Place." He patted Kyle with a smile, "To celebrate your graduation, Mom has prepared a sumptuous dinner. I can't wait."

After saying that, he strode towards the school gate.

Kyle was in hesitation.

To be honest, he also wanted to Apparate back directly, which would be convenient and simple, but when he thought about not having to go to school next year, Kyle felt that there was no need to rush...

Forget it, just think of it as a way to relax.

After hesitating for a moment, Kyle walked towards Hogsmeade Station and boarded the train in time at 8:59.

A minute later, all the carriage doors were closed, and accompanied by a loud whistle, the train slowly left the station.

Because we arrived late, the carriages were basically full of people.

Qiu sat with a few Ravenclaw girls, exchanging small items with each other.

Kyle didn't bother her and went straight to the spacious prefect's carriage. He found a seat by the window and sat down, staring at the scenery outside in a daze.

The whole journey seemed very boring due to the lack of many familiar people. It was not until noon that Kyle heard a familiar noise.

"Ron, you should know that the duties of a prefect also include maintaining order in the carriage, but how did you do that? You actually let those lower grade students run around in the carriage."

"I didn't let them go. They were just chasing the food truck. You were too strict."

The familiar trio walked into the prefects' box, with Harry still standing silently beside them.

He is the Quidditch captain and enjoys the treatment of a prefect, but he does not have the power of a prefect. Even if he wants to manage things, no one will listen to him.

But if you think about it from another perspective, this is quite comfortable, and you don’t have to waste time arguing with those troublesome students.

"Oh, Kyle, you're here too."

As soon as they came in, Harry noticed Kyle sitting by the window, so the three of them naturally sat over there.

"What are you doing here?" Harry said, "There are a lot of people outside looking for you."

"Looking for me?" Kyle asked doubtfully.

"Well, they are all seventh graders. I guess they want to exchange some souvenirs with you."

"Luckily I didn't go out." Kyle said half-jokingly, "I don't have that much stuff to give away."

Harry laughed twice. He could probably guess that Kyle was here to get some peace and quiet.

Just like when he first entered school, he was also popular, but he didn't like this feeling. Most of the time he would rather be alone... or with Hermione and Ron.

"Where's Connor?" Hermione looked around.

"She had other things to do and didn't take the train," Kyle said.

He did not reveal the fact that Connor went to France, not because he did not trust Hermione. If there was anyone who would definitely not defect to Voldemort, Hermione, who had a close relationship with Harry, would definitely be one of them. She had even been to the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.

The main reason was that there was no need for this, and they didn't really care about Kanna's whereabouts. They were just curious and asked casually.

Sure enough, after hearing what Kyle said, Hermione nodded and didn't ask any more questions.

The three of them chatted for a while, and most of the time Hermione was accusing Ron of not fulfilling his duties as a prefect, with Harry acting as a invisible person next to her.

As if feeling a little embarrassed, he stood up and left for a while. When he came back, he had a pile of snacks in his hands.

Harry piled them on the table.

"We just bought some cauldron cakes and chocolates," he said, looking at Kyle. "You can have some too. These are all we have on the train."

Ron was already hungry, and he couldn't wait to pick up a chocolate frog and put it in his mouth.

Hermione also took some cauldron cakes.

Seeing that Kyle didn't move, Hermione thought he was embarrassed, so she simply handed the cake to him.

"You're welcome. Just eat."

"No, you misunderstood." Kyle shook his head, "Actually, I brought lunch."

"Did you bring lunch?" Harry and Ron stopped what they were doing at the same time, thinking they had misheard.

If they remembered correctly, this train departed from Hogwarts, so how could Kyle bring his lunch...

But the next second, they got the answer.

Kyle opened the box and skillfully took out several bulging brown paper bags.

Kyle opened the paper bag, and inside was a whole roasted chicken, fried pork chops, fragrant wheat cakes, baked potatoes, and even condiments such as black pepper and orange marmalade, which filled up the other half of the table.

Harry suddenly felt that the chocolate in his mouth no longer tasted good.

"Did you take this... from the kitchen?"

"Yeah." Kyle nodded, "After all, as you just said, there is no proper lunch on the train, so I went to the kitchen before leaving.

"You should know that our Hufflepuff common room is very close to the kitchen, so it's not difficult to get these."

"Yeah, yeah," said Harry.

He looked at the sumptuous lunch in front of Kyle, then at the pile of snacks in front of himself, and his throat trembled uncontrollably.

"Let's eat together." Kyle said, "The elves are so enthusiastic. I only asked for one portion, but they gave me so much. I definitely can't finish it by myself."

"May I?" said Harry.

"sure."

Kyle waved his wand, and the food that had been cold became steaming hot again.

The heating spell is a little magic invented by Kyle. It is especially useful when going to bed in winter.

"Thanks."

Harry decisively threw the chocolate in his hand back... Who wants to eat these when there are fried pork chops!

"Kyle, what kind of job are you going to do after graduation?" Harry imitated Kyle, put the fried pork chop into the wheat cracker, sprinkled some black pepper on it, and took a big bite after finishing.

He didn’t know if it was an illusion, but they were obviously the same thing, but they were especially delicious when eaten together, and the taste was unique. He couldn’t help but took another bite.

"Need I say more? Kyle is definitely going to work at the Ministry of Magic." Hermione glanced at Harry and was a little dissatisfied with his rude eating habits, but seeing that Kyle was doing the same thing, she didn't say anything.

"Don't forget that Kyle is the Senior Assistant Minister. He must go back to the Ministry of Magic, right?"

"Hmm... not necessarily." Kyle thought for a moment. "In fact, at this point, the Ministry of Magic's decision was basically linked to the Death Eaters, which was to capture them.

"So what the Ministry of Magic lacks most right now is Aurors and Striker, not an assistant to give advice to the Minister."

"Will you be an Auror?" Harry said, "I want to be an Auror too. Maybe we can be colleagues next year."

"I didn't expect that either. We'll see when the time comes." Kyle shrugged, "Anyway, Fudge will definitely not let me go to the Auror's office.

"If possible, I would actually like to open a store in Diagon Alley. At least there won't be so much trouble."

As if they had not expected Kyle to say that, Harry and Hermione both showed an incredible expression, but Ron was not too surprised.

Kyle had been selling maps and other things with Fred, George and others when he was in school, so it was no surprise that he wanted to open a store after graduation.

Besides, everyone was just chatting on the train, and others soon joined in on the topic.

Hermione said she wanted to work for the Ministry of Magic, preferably in the Department of Law Enforcement.

Ron was wavering between wanting to join the Ministry of Magic and becoming a professional Quidditch goalkeeper.

Although Kyle brought a lot of things, there were also many of them, so the four of them were barely half full. But if they had some snacks in between, it was enough.

After lunch, Hermione forced Ron to patrol the aisle, and after hesitating for a moment, Harry followed them and left for the ordinary carriage.

The train continued to move forward, and the villages quickly receded outside the window.

Finally, the train slowed down and entered the familiar Platform 9 after turning a corner.

The students walked out of the carriage one by one, walked through the wall and arrived at King's Cross Station.

"Here, Qiu, I'm here..."

In the station, a disgusting idiot was jumping up and down, waving to attract someone's attention. From a distance, he looked like a peacock in heat.

"Ced!"

Qiu, who had just got off the train, naturally noticed the movement on the platform. She dropped her luggage, ran over quickly, and threw herself into the other's arms.

The two of them just hugged each other on the platform, oblivious to the people around them.

"Bah... so shameless." Kyle was so upset after being forced to eat dog food that he spat viciously.

"Tsk tsk, isn't your expression too ugly?" A teasing voice came from behind.

"When good friends meet again after a long separation, shouldn't we offer our sincere blessings?"

Fred and George appeared on Kyle's left and right.

"So where are your blessings?" Kyle said without turning his head.

"Weasley's Super Magic Glue." Fred's voice rose slightly, "Our new product can even be used to stick wands together."

"Just now, we smeared it on the peacock's clothes while Cedric was looking over his shoulder," George said. "Don't they like hugging? I don't think they mind hugging for a long time."

"What a bad behavior." Kyle said with a look of shame, and at the same time he noticed that Fred was quietly putting a white bottle into his pocket.

Judging from his actions, it seemed that he wanted to smear it on Kyle, but gave up for some reason.

"Same here," Fred said calmly.

George raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, everyone is the same."

The three of them smiled at each other.

"Congratulations." Fred patted Kyle on the shoulder. "From today on, you have finally escaped from the cage and no longer have to be troubled by homework and exams."

“You can get up at any time you want every day…”

"You can drink as much as you want..."

"I can go to Hogsmeade every day..."

"Do whatever you want!"

The two laughed and described to Kyle the wonderful life after graduation.

However, Kyle just regarded this as a joke. If it was really so comfortable, then why were there dark circles under their eyes?

It goes without saying that they haven't had a good rest for a long time, probably because of the problem with the Order of the Phoenix.

The three chatted for a while, and at this time, Cedric finally realized something was wrong. His and Qiu's clothes were stuck together, and it was very firm. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get rid of it.

"Damn it, Fred, George, what on earth did you do?"

Or maybe they were friends of many years. Cedric didn't even need any evidence, he just called out the name of the culprit accurately.

"Just a little trick to help you guys bond," Fred said with a laugh.

George gave a thumbs up and said, "This is what friends should do. You don't need to thank us."

Cedric was almost mad. Seeing more and more eyes focused on him, even including Qiu's parents, he felt his face burning.

"Hurry up." Cedric glared at the Weasley brothers and almost squeezed out a word from between his teeth, "Get rid of it."

"Sorry." Fred blinked innocently, "This is a new product. Currently, it can only be attached, not removed!"

"Do you think I'll believe you?" Cedric didn't buy his nonsense at all. "As far as I know, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes has never had a one-way semi-finished product."

"Thank you for the compliment, sir!" George chuckled, "But this isn't officially on sale yet, so it doesn't count as... Ouch!"

Before he could finish his words, a big hand landed precisely on his ear.

Fred on the other side couldn't escape either.

"Qiu is a girl, hurry up and get the things out." Mrs. Weasley said viciously, one in each hand.

"Let go, mom...let go...we'll give it to him."

Fred jumped up and took out a blue bottle and threw it over.

After Cedric caught it, he poured the powder inside on the part of the clothes that was stuck, and he and Qiu separated immediately.

"Hurry up, apologize." Mrs. Weasley dragged Fred and George to Qiu's parents.

"sorry!"

“I’m so sorry!”

"Ah, it's okay." Qiu's parents generously forgave the two of them.

In fact, they had known Cedric for a long time and were very satisfied with him.

They had even agreed to meet with the Diggorys once the threat of Voldemort and the Death Eaters was gone.

"But..." Qiu's father looked at Fred and said, "Can you sell me a bottle of that glue? The windows in our house have been loose recently, and they make noises when the wind blows."

"Of course, no problem!" Fred quickly took out the bottle of magic glue from his pocket.

"It's free for you."

"If you need anything else, you can go to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes in Diagon Alley. Everything is 50% off."

"That's a really nice discount," Qiu's mother said with a smile.

Then they left with Qiu.

Mrs. Weasley was still ranting about Fred and George.

At this time, Hermione, Harry and Ron finally walked out of the wall.

She immediately left the twins behind and went over to hug them one by one.

Kyle also noticed that when Harry appeared, several passers-by who were originally doing nothing immediately became nervous and their hands unconsciously reached into their pockets.

Judging from Mr. Weasley's calm expression, they should be from the Ministry of Magic.

"Okay, hurry up and catch up." Mrs. Weasley led a few people to the outside of the station. "It's not safe outside now. We'd better go back quickly."

"Where's Sirius?" Harry looked around, but didn't see the person he wanted to see most.

"He's waiting for you outside," said Mr. Weasley. "Remember? The Ministry of Magic has issued a wanted poster for Sirius among Muggles before. There are many people in the station. In order not to cause any trouble, it's better for him to stay outside."

Harry breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Mr. Weasley say this.

Fortunately, that’s the only reason.

Everyone must keep an eye on their luggage at the high-speed rail station. They waited for six hours just for those documents!!!
