Chapter 80: Honey on the Little Mouth

Faced with the threat from two sophomores, the weak Kyle had no choice but to verbally sign a series of unequal treaties in order to avoid being bullied at school.

"Mark your words, Kyle."

Fred reminded, "You need to provide technical support for our Weasley Jokes product."

"And a place." George added: "You have to provide us with a safe place to store them during the holidays and make sure they won't be discovered by Mom."

"Of course, I'm happy to." Kyle smiled and said, "I'll help you research those products. And don't worry about the location... How about my room? If I put it there, Mrs. Weasley will definitely not find it."

"very good."

Fred and George nodded in satisfaction and let Kyle go.

"If you dare to deceive us..." Fred warned viciously before leaving: "The consequences will be serious!"

After saying that, they both raised their thumbs at the same time and gestured at their necks.

After they left, Kyle walked to the Hufflepuff table leisurely as if nothing had happened.

"How was your vacation?"

"Not bad." Kyle glanced at Cedric and said, "No need to get up early, no need to do homework, all I do every day is read books, plant grass, pet small animals, etc. This is exactly the life I've always dreamed of."

Cedric looked a little envious. "If I had known, I wouldn't have gone back." He sighed and said, "My dad originally said he would take me to France for a vacation this holiday, but he's too busy. He's almost always working overtime. I'm at home for less than five hours a day. I don't have time at all."

Cedric's words surprised Kyle.

That shouldn't be the case. Haven't Chris and Newt already sent back the smuggled magical creatures? Why is Mr. Diggory still so busy?

And he hasn't heard of anything special happening recently. Everything is calm and peaceful.

Even Mr. Weasley and Lucius's quarrel at the Ministry of Magic made the front page of the Daily Prophet.

Under normal circumstances, it would be great if such trivial matters could occupy a corner.

It can be seen that there is really nothing to report in the magic world recently, and there is a feeling that the years are peaceful and quiet.

In this case, unless there is a special emergency, such as a magical creature injuring someone, Mr. Diggory will have at least five days of vacation.

But if this really happened, there is no way the Daily Prophet would not make any noise at all.

Cedric seemed to have noticed Kyle's confusion. He looked around and made sure no one was paying attention to this place before he whispered, "It's because of the Winged Demon... My father has been looking for it."

"The Winged Demon..." Kyle frowned and lowered his voice, "Didn't that thing leave here?"

"No, the Ministry is lying."

Cedric said: "My dad had a few drinks on Christmas Day and seemed to think I was his colleague, so I took the opportunity to ask him a lot of questions.

He said the Ministry had found no trace of the Winged Demon at all."

Kyle shook his head and said, "But that's not what Newt said."

If it was someone else, he might not believe it, but Newt would never lie, especially when it comes to things related to magical creatures.

Unless it concerns the safety of the wizarding world, not to mention Fudge, even Dumbledore would not be able to... Well, that's not necessarily true.

Unless Fudge is his biological son.

"I asked that, too," Cedric said. "My dad said that Mr. Scamander's original words were, 'We didn't find the Winged Demon, it must have gone into hiding.'"

But the photo that the Ministry of Magic provided to the Daily Prophet only contained the first half of the sentence; they left out the second half."

"Huh?" Kyle raised an eyebrow. "In order not to cause panic?"

"Yes, in order to avoid panic." Cedric spread his hands and said, "They even found a reason to dismiss Mr. Chris and Mr. Scamander who had always been against this."

Kyle touched his chin, and his previous doubts were resolved.

No wonder he always felt that something was wrong with Chris's business trip this time. So this was the problem.

It's just transporting some magical creatures, why would Chris and Newt need to go together?

The venomous leopard and the Australian white eye are fine, but these two are too dangerous and ordinary people can't deal with them.

But what about those other amazing animals.

It was a simple task that could be accomplished by simply finding a remote mountain forest or sending two strikers, but it fell on Chris and Newt.

Think about it, a deputy director of the British Ministry of Magic and a master of magical creatures renowned in the wizarding world, the two of them traveled thousands of kilometers together just to send an ordinary Bowtruckle back to its original place?

It's just outrageous.

Under normal circumstances, let alone an ordinary Bowtruckle, even the Bowtruckle raised by Grindelwald would not be able to receive such treatment.

Kyle thought for a moment and asked, "Did your father find the curled-winged demon?"

“No.” Cedric shook his head and said, “My father and his team have been searching for more than a month and have not found any clues.

But Minister Fudge has been pushing us all the time, and even lost his temper a couple of days ago, this ***"

Cedric is very well-mannered. When he says the key words, he just moves his mouth without making any sound, fully demonstrating the qualities that an excellent young wizard should have.

But his lip movements were very clear, and Kyle could see that he was praising the other person's family tree in a very sweet way.

After applying honey on his little mouth, Cedric felt inexplicably better. He glanced in the direction of the teacher's seat and said, "Let's not talk about this for now. Did you notice that Professor Snape seems very angry today?"

"Is there?"

Kyle picked up a chicken drumstick and said without looking up, "Maybe it's your illusion. He is always angry."

"That's true, but..." Cedric glanced at the teacher's seat again and said, "I still think he's a little different today."

Snape on the stage looked as if he had drunk the wrong potion, his face as black as the bottom of a pot, and his sinister eyes kept scanning back and forth across the four dining tables.

As if he noticed someone was looking at him, Snape suddenly looked towards Hufflepuff, and Cedric was so scared that he quickly lowered his head.

Next to him, Kyle was still eating the chicken leg in his hand leisurely, and from time to time he would say a few words to Mikel who was sitting on the other side of him.
