Chapter 844 Persuading Ariana

Kyle stood outside the door and watched the door of Potter's Potions Shop being ruthlessly closed.

But soon the door was opened again, and Code threw out a large package from inside, then slammed the door shut again.

Dumbledore stood outside, watching all this in confusion.

"Nothing, I just bought some things." Kyle explained.

He picked up the package, which contained about a dozen bottles of different potions, some of which were broken by Code's rough behavior just now, but most of them were still intact.

Kyle picked them out and put them into his box. Even though they were all very common types, they were bought with his own money after all and could not be wasted.

"You suddenly came here just to buy potions?" Dumbledore was even more confused.

In his impression, Code was not a famous potion master. The stuff here could be found in any potion shop, and even a fifth-grade student with good potion grades could make it by himself.

Is it necessary for Kyle to make a special trip at this time?

"Buying potions is not the purpose, I'm here for this." Kyle took out the box and showed it to Dumbledore. Dumbledore was still wondering why Kyle came here, but after seeing the old box, he suddenly realized something.

"Invisibility Cloak?"

"To be precise, it's the Invisibility Cloak, one of the Three Sacred Artifacts." Kyle said, "Perhaps only this thing can give Ariana a glimmer of hope at this time."

Dumbledore was shaking.

Yes, how could he forget about this? He obviously knew that the invisibility cloak had been passed down from generation to generation in the Potter family, so why didn't he think of it before?

"He just lent it to you?" Dumbledore suddenly realized something. "I'm afraid no one knows better than Corder how precious this thing is."

“It’s really not easy, so I used some special methods…” Kyle briefly recounted what happened in the store before.

"Twenty Galleons... and three bottles of wine?" Dumbledore exclaimed, "I didn't expect it to be so simple."

"This is not easy at all." Kyle looked back, "His wife is here too."

"If he hadn't discovered that the gap in strength was too huge, he wouldn't have been able to take out the invisibility cloak even if I gave him a hundred bottles of wine."

"Wait." Dumbledore looked at Kyle nervously, "Are you..."

"Don't get me wrong, I didn't do anything, I just showed some magic." Kyle shook his head, "My original intention was to make him believe that I didn't want to steal the invisibility cloak, but Cord didn't dare to gamble, he just made the best choice at the moment.

"What happened afterwards was just based on this, trying to gain as much benefit as possible for himself. But it's true that he likes those wines... After all, they were left by Hufflepuff, and ordinary people can't see them."

"Hufflepuff?" Dumbledore was confused. Having lost his memory, he naturally would not remember anything about the golden cup.

"That's not important," Kyle said.

After getting what they wanted, the two walked towards Dumbledore's house together.

During this time, Dumbledore couldn't help looking at the box in Kyle's hand and asked, "Are you going to use it to hide Ariana?"

"That's an idea," Kyle said. He opened the box and took out the invisible cloak that seemed to be woven from water.

The so-called Hallows, also known as the Deathly Hallows, are things that appear in "The Tales of Beedle the Bard", a fairy tale that is well-known in the wizarding world, a bit like "Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales" in the Muggle world.

This story is a bit long. Legend has it that three brothers met the legendary god of death and passed the test. The god of death decided to fulfill one wish of each of them.

But Kyle would rather believe that this was just a little game that the Grim Reaper was playing with them because he was too bored.

The eldest of the three brothers was the most warlike. He asked for the most powerful magic wand. With the help of this wand, he was invincible and defeated all his enemies. However, he was eventually killed by a sneak attack while he was sleeping.

Then his soul was taken away by the god of death, and he failed.

Then there was the most arrogant second one, Cadmus. He wanted to play a trick on the god of death and made a wish to resurrect the dead. The god of death also fulfilled his wish and gave him a stone. As long as he rotated it in his hand three times, he could resurrect the dead person he wanted.

After Cadmus returned home, he used the Resurrection Stone to resurrect the girl he once loved.

But the God of Death did not tell him that the Resurrection Stone can only recall the soul, and the recalled soul does not belong to the human world. Here, she is in pain all the time.

Cadmus became even more miserable. In order to truly integrate into the girl's world, he chose to end his own life and surrender to death.

Finally, there is the third brother, Ignotus. He is the smartest one and the only one who does not believe in the god of death. Out of caution, he made a wish to go to a place outside the jurisdiction of the god of death, and then he got the invisibility cloak.

According to legend, this invisibility cloak is the cloak of Death himself.

Then he succeeded. The god of death had been searching for him for many years but could not find him. Until he was too old, he took off his invisibility cloak, left the cloak to his son, greeted the god of death as an old friend, and happily followed him.

This is the story of the three brothers. Almost every child born in a wizarding family has read it. Most wizards believe that this story is meant to tell them to always be vigilant.

But what’s interesting is that the legendary three holy artifacts… the Invisibility Cloak, the Elder Wand, and the Resurrection Stone all exist in reality, and Kyle has seen them all.

What he is holding now is one of them, the invisibility cloak.

The reason why Kyle wanted to use this thing to save Ariana, in addition to its legendary story, was also because the invisibility cloak was the key to this incident.

Young Grindelwald and Dumbledore left without saying goodbye because they were going to the southern highlands to find the invisibility cloak, which was also the reason why Aberforth was furious.

Then Grindelwald became depressed because he didn't find what he wanted. He no longer had his usual calmness and couldn't help but fight with Aberforth.

It was while trying to stop them that Ariana was accidentally killed.

In a sense, even if the invisibility cloak was not the main cause of Ariana's death, it was the fuse that caused all this.

Kyle had a hunch that this accident started with the invisibility cloak, and perhaps, it could also end with the invisibility cloak.

Kyle thought to himself and couldn't help but quicken his pace.

Soon, the exquisite house came into view.

When he got here, Dumbledore suddenly hesitated and subconsciously slowed down his pace.

"We can't go see Ariana, we can't..." he muttered to himself.

But Kyle did not stop at all. He took out his wand, and a small sapling next to him began to grow rapidly. Kyle stepped on a spreading branch and was brought to the attic window.

"Close your ears and listen!" Kyle waved his wand again and reached out to push open the attic window.

Ariana was sitting on a small bed inside. When she heard the noise, she subconsciously turned her head, first looking at Kyle who jumped in, and then looking at the bright sun outside.

"You... why are you here at this time?" Ariana was startled. "No, if Brother Aberforth sees you, he will be angry. Run away quickly."

As she said that, she stood up and nervously put her ear to the door, as if to confirm whether there was any movement outside.

"It's okay, he can't hear us." Kyle smiled and shook his head. "I came to you this time because I want to ask you for help with something very important."

"Important...things?" Ariana blinked, revealing an unconcealed joy: "Can Ariana help?"

"Of course, no one can do this except you." Kyle said, "Do you want to save your brother?"

Ariana immediately became nervous, "What happened to Brother Aberforth?"

As she said that, she hurriedly grabbed the door handle and wanted to go out and take a look.

"It's not Aberforth..." Kyle said quickly, "It's another one."

He took the quieted Ariana to the window.

When Kyle broke in just now, Dumbledore wanted to hide, but for some reason, his feet seemed to be welded to the ground, unable to move a step, and just stood there.

So when Kyle brought Ariana to the window, she saw Dumbledore outside at a glance.

"Albus...brother?" Ariana said softly.

She didn't know if it was because of family affection or the Obscure's strong perception, but even though Dumbledore had a head full of white hair, she recognized his identity at a glance.

On the other hand, Dumbledore had already burst into tears, with tears all over his face.

"Do you want to hide any longer, Professor?" Kyle said.

This time Dumbledore did not choose to escape. He just floated up into the air and flew into the attic.

Ariana's eyes widened at first, then she burst into tears.

To be honest, this action even shocked Kyle. He could understand Dumbledore crying, but why did Ariana cry too...

He tried to ask the reason, "Brother Albus...died...turned into a flying ghost..." Ali said with a sob, and then continued to cry loudly.

In her cognition, ghosts are white, and brother Albus also turned white... ghosts can fly, and brother Albus can also fly... so brother Albus is equal to a ghost.

Nothing wrong with that.

However, Dumbledore panicked. Seeing Ariana crying so hard that her breathing became rapid and covered in a layer of black mist, he hurried into the attic, pushed Kyle who was blocking his way away, and said softly:

"I'm fine, Ariana..."

"Touch me, I'm still hot." He held Ariana's hand, trying to comfort her.

But maybe it was because he had no experience in this area, he just kept repeating the same two sentences over and over again, as clumsy as Neville in his Potions class.

But fortunately, after feeling the warmth from her palm, Ariana gradually calmed down.

"Brother Albus...is he really not a ghost?"

"Of course I'm not." Dumbledore shook his head, staring at the girl from years ago with tearful eyes.

"I'm sorry...Ariana...I'm sorry."

The girl stretched out her little hands and tried to wipe away the tears from her face.

"You'd better use something else, like a handkerchief or something." Kyle muttered quietly beside him: "He may still have snot on his face."

The little girl stopped her hands immediately, and a hint of fear flashed in her eyes.

Dumbledore glared at Kyle.

"Don't look at me like that, Professor." Kyle shrugged. "It's mainly because you were too engrossed just now. Now is really not the time to reminisce."

Kyle walked over, opened the invisibility cloak in his hand, and put it on Ariana without saying a word.

"Wow, it's that magical invisibility cloak." The little girl immediately forgot what had just happened and began to look at her disappearing body excitedly.

"Arianna..." Kyle squatted down and looked at the happy little girl in front of him.

"What's wrong?"

"Your brother Albus is in danger now. He could actually turn into a dead ghost at any time."

The next second, Ariana, who was originally very happy, burst into tears again.

"Stop talking..." Dumbledore's voice trembled, trying to stop Kyle from continuing, but Kyle ignored him and just asked calmly:

"Will you help him?"

"I do," Ariana said firmly.

"But what if the price is that you can never come back?" Kyle continued: "You have to leave here, leave this home, and leave your brother Aberforth."

"I..." Ariana hesitated, "If I miss them, can I come back?"

"No." Kyle tightened the invisibility cloak around Ariana and continued, "You can't come back, even if you miss them, otherwise your brother Albus will really become a ghost... maybe even worse."

"Stop talking." Dumbledore said again painfully, trying to stop Kyle, but still got no response.

Although what was about to happen might make Ariana very sad, it was something she had to go through if she wanted to save her life.

"Then you will have to live alone in a strange place."

"Then I will never see Brother Aberforth again?" Ariana held her head in pain, and the black mist representing the obscurity began to surge over her.

But the amazing thing is that the invisibility cloak on Ariana blocked the black mist, and it was tightly imprisoned and could not take shape.

“That’s not the case.” Kyle thought for a moment, “Maybe in a hundred years, you’ll be able to see him again, but before that, you need to force yourself to forget everything here.”

The black mist on Ariana's body became thicker, and some of it even emerged from the cracks, floating in the air and surging violently.

Kyle frowned. Ariana's reaction was even greater than he had imagined. If it weren't for the invisibility cloak, the words just now would probably have caused Obscurus to explode.

"Expect God to Guard!"

A silvery-white jellyfish emerged from Kyle's wand, and its long tentacles wrapped around the black mist, trying to disperse it.

The Patronus is the embodiment of hope and the nemesis of all dark matter, including Obscurus.

But the Obscurus was too strong. Even if it could offset the slight amount of black mist that was dissipating, the pressure it brought to Kyle was greater than when he faced hundreds of Dementors.

He could only do his best to maintain the Patronus, while hoping that Ariana would wake up soon.

Just then, a silver phoenix joined in.

The phoenix flew above Ariana's head, and a warm power enveloped her, like a bonfire in the cold winter.

The black fog gradually disappeared, and Ariana opened her eyes again.

"So, Ariana, have you made a decision?" Kyle made up his mind and continued to ask.

"That's enough! Shut up!" Dumbledore roared.

A tremendous amount of magic power gushed out of his body, creating large spider-web-like cracks on the walls and ceiling.

"Professor, now is not the time to be soft-hearted. This is the only way to save her life." Kyle did not give in. "She must leave here. This is the only way!"

"I know...I know..."

Dumbledore's voice suddenly softened, even with a hint of pleading.

"You've done well enough. Can you leave the rest to me... please."

"Are you sure?" Kyle reminded: "This decision will make Ariana give up all her support, which may make her hate you for the rest of her life. I don't care, but you..."

"That's all right with me," Dumbledore said calmly, "as long as I can save her."

"In that case... remember to pay attention to the time. It must not exceed ten o'clock."

Kyle took a deep breath, stood up, and decided to spend some time with the brother and sister.

But he did not choose to leave through the window, but directly opened the door and walked out.

"What happened...Ariana, how are you."

There was a sound of hurried footsteps outside. It was Aberforth.

Dumbledore lost control just now and the noise he made almost destroyed the entire house. In this situation, even the ear-blocking spell was useless.

Aberforth, who heard the noise, ran over immediately to check on Ariana, and happened to bump into Kyle who was walking out the door.

"Who are you!"

Seeing a stranger suddenly appear in his house, and coming out from his sister's attic, Aberforth immediately became nervous, and then furious.

He drew his wand without further ado.

"What did you do to my sister..."

"Oblivion is all!"

A beam of white light hit Aberforth right on the forehead. It was clearly a forgetfulness spell, but its effect was like a repulsion spell.

Aberforth didn't even make a sound. He flew backwards with a thud and lay motionless on the ground.

"Sorry, I can't ask you to disturb them now."

Kyle let out a long breath and felt much better.

Just now he had been in close contact with the Moss, pretended to be a bad guy to scare Ariana, and had to deal with Dumbledore's emotions, which made him feel stressed and his forehead was throbbing.

Now that sandbags are offered to you, it would be a waste if you don’t use them.

Kyle stretched, walked over, grabbed Aberforth by the collar, and dragged him downstairs, repairing the wall that was cracked by Dumbledore's magic along the way.

Strictly speaking, Aberforth also bears some responsibility for this matter. If he hadn't been so bad-tempered, he wouldn't have fought with Grindelwald.

However, considering that he had helped him many times afterwards, Kyle softened his heart and did not drag his feet.
