Chapter 9 Hogwarts Express

Hogwarts opened its doors on this day.

The little wizard, who had just turned eleven, was looking forward to this day day and night, hoping that it would come soon.

But wizards aged twelve to seventeen may not think so, because the start of school means the official end of the happy summer vacation life, and they must also face the homework that has been forgotten for a whole summer.

This is not good news.

This is especially true of Kyle and the Weasley twins.

In the open space in front of the Burrow, Kyle, who was standing at the front, was very excited, while Fred and George behind him were very nervous, and they would gather together and whisper from time to time, as if they were going to Hogwarts for the first time.

Yes, Kyle is here too.

Originally, Chris was planning to Apparate him directly over there, but before leaving, he happened to meet Mrs. Weasley who came to knock on the door.

Mrs. Weasley seemed to have guessed that he was going to do this. The first thing she said when she saw Chris was that there were too many Muggles at King's Cross Station and it would be easy to be seen if they used Apparition. It was too unsafe, so she had to let Kyle go with them no matter what.

Chris wanted to say something else, but seeing Mrs. Weasley's firm attitude, he could only swallow his words back and nodded in agreement.

Kyle, on the other hand, rubbed his forehead helplessly.

He really wanted to tell Mrs. Weasley that in the eyes of Muggles, nine people getting out of a Ford was much more shocking than the sudden appearance of two more people in front of them.

After all, there is no Ganges, and Ford is not a magical car with a diamond logo that you can sit on as many as you want.

But unfortunately, he was only eleven years old, his words had little influence, and he was simply ignored.

Just as he was thinking about it, Mrs. Weasley suddenly came to Kyle and asked with concern: "Dear, have you packed everything?"

"Of course." Kyle came back to his senses and kicked a large box at his feet and said, "I checked it three times before leaving. Nothing is missing."

"That's good." Mrs. Weasley nodded with a smile.

As they were talking, Mr. Weasley also stopped in front of everyone in a vintage car that looked very old.

This was their means of transportation, a ninth-hand Ford that they had found from somewhere, but Mr. Weasley loved it very much and treasured it like a treasure.

"What are you waiting for? Get in the car."

At Mr. Weasley's urging, Chris got into the car first.

After seeing this scene, Kyle knew it was too late to say anything and could only follow helplessly, followed by the Weasley family.

A traceless expansion spell was cast inside the car, so even with nine people sitting in it and a lot of luggage, it didn't feel crowded at all.

Mr. Weasley was a very good driver. Kyle didn't feel any obvious bumps along the way, nor did he feel any sudden braking or nodding when starting. It was much better than a bus.

They arrived at King's Cross Station on time around ten o'clock.

Fortunately, what Kyle expected did not happen, or the people around him did not care about a broken and old Ford car at all, and the group arrived smoothly in front of a pillar between the ninth and tenth platforms.

Once you get here, you basically don't have to worry about being discovered by Muggles.

There is a Muggle-Repelling Spell nearby, so ordinary people will subconsciously ignore everything that happens here. Even if there are special circumstances, the nearby Ministry of Magic members will deal with them as soon as possible, so it is very safe.

Everyone lined up skillfully, and under the command of Mrs. Weasley, they passed the pillars in front of them one after another and arrived at the famous Platform 9.

It's much more lively here than outside.

"It seems I'm not late." A gentle voice came from behind Kyle.

Hearing the familiar voice, Kyle turned around suddenly and saw Diana looking at him with a smile.

"Mom?" Kyle asked in surprise, "Didn't you have a mission before..."

"Of course it's done." Diana squatted down and straightened Kyle's clothes. "Today is your first day at school. I don't want to miss such an important day."

"That's good." Kyle was also very happy.

It would be a pity if Chris was the only one to take him to Hogwarts.

Diana spoke to Kyle for a few more words, and only sent him on the train when it was about to depart. Finally, she said, "I think Chris should have told you the general situation of Hogwarts, so I won't repeat it. However, there is one thing I think he probably didn't say."

Diana looked at Kyle with her deep blue eyes and said seriously, "Dear, your father and I have graduated for a long time, and we don't want to recall our college life, so please don't let us receive any letters from any professors, including Dumbledore, okay?"

"Don't worry, Mom." Kyle smiled, "I won't break the school rules. They have no reason to send a letter home."

"Of course, dear." Diana kissed Kyle's cheek and watched him get on the train. "Also, don't forget to tell us the results of the sorting."

"I will." Kyle nodded and then turned and got on the train.

A few minutes later, the train slowly left the platform, and Diana finally withdrew her gaze.

Not far behind her, Chris had just finished a conversation with a middle-aged man and walked over to Diana in two or three steps.

"Is Mr. Diggory showing off his son again?" Diana laughed.

Apparently, she also knew the man who was talking to Chris.

Amos Diggory, like Chris, works in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic, and also has a child attending Hogwarts, but is one year older than Kyle and is in the same grade as the Weasley twins.

But unlike the naughty twins, that child was excellent in all aspects, almost the same as Percy was back then.

Therefore, Digory, who is crazy about showing off his baby, would praise his son almost every time he talked to people during this year.

It would be fine if it happened once or twice, and people would chime in with a few words of praise, but if he keeps saying it, who can stand it?

So Diggory gradually became one of the most unpopular people in the Ministry of Magic, especially those parents whose children attended Hogwarts but had average academic performance would never meet him unless necessary.

Even if we meet occasionally, we will just lower our heads and walk past quickly, and avoid talking if possible.

If they really can't avoid it, such as meeting him in the elevator, or if he is a colleague in the same department as him like Chris, they will immediately find an excuse to leave after exchanging a few words, never giving him a chance to change the subject.

And this time, Chris obviously couldn't escape.

"Cedric is really good."

Chris smiled bitterly and said, "Forget it, let's not talk about this. Have you really completed your mission?"

Although he didn't know the specific situation of the Department of Mysteries, he knew that the missions there would take at least a month, and it was almost impossible for a mission to be completed in two days.

"Of course not." Diana narrowed her eyes and said, "But my colleagues are all very easy to talk to. They won't say anything if I just ask for a little leave."
