Chapter 924 Snape's Choice, Comatose Connor

Kyle walked back from the Astronomy Tower to the Auditorium.

It seemed that Voldemort had made another move, destroying the largest barrier of Hogwarts at present... The stone statues and armor were scattered on the ground, and there was no trace of magic left.

A large number of Death Eaters poured into the castle, and the stairs and halls were crowded with people.

Professor Flitwick was dueling with a blond Death Eater, sparks were flying between the two, and right next to them, a masked Death Eater was taking on Mr. Weasley.

Although he was masked, it was not difficult to tell from his huge size and clumsy movements that he should be old Goyle, also a veteran Death Eater.

Several graduates were around to help, and Oliver Wood successfully used a Stunning Spell to help Mr. Weasley deal with his opponent.

Old Goyle's sturdy body fell to the ground with a loud bang, smashing the Gryffindor scoring hourglass next to him, and the rubies inside were scattered everywhere.

Kyle waved his wand, and the rubies on the ground turned into daggers that floated in the air and then flew suddenly in one direction.

A gray figure just jumped down the stairs and was stabbed into a hedgehog by these gem daggers.

Three daggers pierced through the werewolf's throat at the same time. The werewolf didn't even struggle and just lay on the ground motionless.

At this time, the other werewolf also jumped down, and saw the other lying there covered in blood, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

He originally wanted to leave like this, but when he saw the red daggers floating up again, he immediately whimpered and waved his arms, as if he wanted to say something.

"Remus Lupin?" Kyle asked in a low voice, looking at his arms gesticulating constantly.

Lupin nodded repeatedly.

"Sorry," Kyle said, "werewolfs all look basically the same after they transform. I can't tell them apart."

Werewolf Lupin shook his head, probably telling Kyle not to worry about it.

To be honest, he was really scared when he saw those daggers flying, for fear that Kyle would stab him.

Today is a full moon, when the werewolf is at its strongest. The werewolf fought with him for more than ten minutes, but was killed in seconds after meeting Kyle.

If Kyle had moved faster just now, he might not have had time to explain.

All Lupin wanted now was to leave the castle as soon as possible.

It’s pretty good outside, at least I don’t have to worry about being accidentally hurt by Kyle.

"Wait a minute, Remus." Kyle stopped Lupin who was about to leave, "Can you find Sirius now?"

He just remembered that Lupin was now in werewolf form with a very keen sense of smell, making him the best candidate for finding people.

Sure enough, Lupin just sniffed around and pointed to somewhere outside the school, which seemed to be the Quidditch field...

He howled twice and seemed to be saying something, but Kyle didn't understand, perhaps because werewolves were not considered magical creatures or for some other reason.

But he didn't care, waved his hand and ran outside.

"Thanks."

Kyle walked through the hall and left the cat here to help deal with the Death Eaters.

The cat-leopard is the most suitable magical animal for this kind of melee. Its ability of telepathy can easily distinguish the relationship between friends and enemies so as not to help the wrong people.

Taking advantage of this time, Kyle also successfully arrived at the area outside the castle.

Several big spiders were lying on the wall outside the castle, making rustling sounds, trying to crawl into the castle through the gap.

"Are there any who have slipped through the net?" Kyle frowned slightly.

He had already dealt with the potentially threatening eight-eyed giant spiders in the Forbidden Forest and got some venom. Otherwise, there might not be just a few of them coming out, but a large group.

Just as he was hesitating whether to get rid of these giant spiders first or go find Snape first, a Hungarian Horntail suddenly descended from the sky and ate all the giant spiders from the wall in a few seconds, just like eating multi-flavored beans.

It was even roasted with dragon flame beforehand.

"I hope Hagrid can't see such a cruel scene." Kyle muttered softly and ran quickly towards the Quidditch field, but he was forced to stop halfway.

A dozen Dementors gathered together, and the air around them seemed to be frozen.

The expression on Kyle's face became a little strange.

How should I put it? This time the Death Eaters' attack on Hogwarts was more like a meeting with old friends.

There are giants left, werewolves left... and now it's the Dementors' turn? But what's the use of so many? Not even enough for posing.

Kyle didn't understand. The Dementors had been exterminated twice, so why couldn't they just stay still? Did they really believe in Voldemort? A jellyfish emitting silver light appeared behind Kyle. The Dementors wanted to run away, but it was too late.

The jellyfish's long tentacles had wrapped around their necks at some point, and the Dementors were being dragged behind the jellyfish. From a distance, it looked like they were dragging a dozen ugly decorations.

Furthermore, under the influence of the Patronus, the Dementor's body began to shrink, collapse, and finally completely dissipate.

"This is finally completely resolved."

Kyle continued forward and this time he soon arrived at the Quidditch field.

This place also suffered devastating damage. The audience seats were reduced to ruins and all six goalposts were broken and lay scattered on the burning grass.

There was a person lying next to him...

"Kanna!" Kyle's heart beat faster and he ran over quickly, but soon stopped again.

He recognized the wrong person.

On the ground was a witch he didn't recognize, wearing a black robe, and probably also a Death Eater.

Fortunately, fortunately...

Kyle tried to calm himself down and looked around carefully. Finally, he found Sirius, who was staggering, and Connor, who was unconscious on his back, in the Slytherin audience seats.

Opposite him were a dozen Death Eaters in black robes.

"Sirius Black, you are so lucky." One of the Death Eaters grinned, "You have caused us a lot of trouble."

"As long as we kill you, we will definitely get the reward from the Dark Lord!"

"Stop talking nonsense and get started," a witch Death Eater urged.

"Why rush? There are twelve of us. He can't run away with this burden."

Another Death Eater said slowly, "I don't want to go to Hogwarts and die. It's so good now. As long as we can kill him, it will be a great achievement. There is no need to fight with those idiots."

"Yes." A Death Eater nodded in agreement, "And no one will come to help him now..."

"puff!"

The Death Eater's words stopped abruptly, as if something had passed across his neck, and then... the wind suddenly blew in the audience.

"Damn it, who is that person!"

Before the Death Eaters around could react to what was happening, two more people were attacked.

A long wound appeared out of nowhere on their chest, as if someone had stabbed them.

"Oh no, it's a curse, kill Sirius!"

Some Death Eaters reacted, but the originally hard ground suddenly turned into a swamp and they all fell into it.

"God's sword has no shadow!"

As a gust of wind blew, the stadium suddenly became quiet.

Sirius looked at the person who appeared behind the Death Eater, sitting on the ground and gasping for breath.

"You're just in time...Kyle."

"Yeah, just in time," said Kyle, glancing behind Sirius and seeming to want to say something else.

"Oh, don't worry, Connor is fine," said Sirius.

But Kyle noticed that he was a little conflicted when he said this.

"I don't know how to tell you." Sirius put Connor down, "Snape knocked her out and entrusted her to me."

"I don't know how to describe this feeling. That snotty-smelling guy is obviously a Death Eater, but he actually entrusted his niece to the care of an enemy like me."

The more Sirius spoke, the weirder his expression became, as if his previous worldview had collapsed and he was in a state of confusion.

He had known about the relationship between Connor and Snape for a long time...it was not a secret, and many people knew it.

Moreover, he had complained to Lupin more than once about how that snotty-nosed Snape had the honor of having such an outstanding niece.

In his opinion, a normal Death Eater should be like the Malfoy family, where the adults are Death Eaters, the children are little Death Eaters, and the whole family are loyal supporters of Voldemort.

Even if their children don't think so, they will be forcibly dragged to Voldemort's side by their parents.

In fact, this is the case with most Slytherins. Those Death Eaters will do their best to prove their loyalty in every way they can think of.

But this common sense is different for Snape... He is a senior Death Eater, but he is very afraid that Connor will come into contact with Voldemort.

Sirius could feel that Snape did not want Voldemort to discover Connor's existence, and he was even willing to risk being killed in order to hand Connor over to him.

When Snape stood there, he was completely defenseless and even threw away his wand. Sirius could easily kill him if he had the idea.

But he hesitated... and watched Snape walk out of his sight.

Even thinking about it now, Sirius was so regretful that he was scratching the wall... Snape was the culprit who killed Lily and James, why did he feel soft-hearted at that time!

Kyle ignored Snape's changing expression and walked over to carefully check Connor's condition.

Just like Sirius said, Connor was fine, she was just under a coma spell...

etc!

Kyle's hand suddenly stopped in mid-air.

He noticed that the bracelet on Kangna's right hand was missing.

It was a silver bracelet that looked like a phoenix with its head and tail connected, and its eyes were decorated with fragments of the magic stone.

But the material is not important. What is important is that the bracelet was given to Connor by Nicolas Flamel, and it can also resist two killing curses. Its value is simply beyond the measurement of Galleons.

Connor had been carrying it with her, but now it was gone.

It can’t be that it has been used up.

Kyle was a little unsure, and he wanted to try to wake Connor up, but he found that Snape not only used a stunning spell on her, but also fed her the water of life and death.

It's difficult to wake her up now. I can't go to the classroom to prepare the antidote now.

Kyle simply put Kanna in his box.

Sirius watched his actions from the side and asked, "Kyle, I noticed that you looked unhappy just now, what happened to Connor?"

"No, nothing. I just found out that she drank the water of life and death and she may not wake up in a short time." Kyle shook his head and did not explain the matter of the bracelet to Sirius.

The effect of that thing is so amazing, and it is related to Nicolas Flamel, so the fewer people who know about it, the better.

This is not a matter of trust. It's just that there are too many strange methods in the wizarding world. Sometimes, just because you want to keep it secret, others won't know it... unless you make an unbreakable oath with Sirius on the spot.

"Sirius, what happened?" Kyle changed the subject after closing the box.

"I don't know exactly what happened." Sirius's face turned serious, "Let's talk about it later. The important thing now is to deal with those Death Eaters."

"That's easy." Kyle waved his wand, and a fire dragon made of fierce fire appeared above the stadium again, and then slammed into the area where the most Death Eaters were.

Before, he didn’t have the time or mood to control Li Huo, but now it’s different, he has plenty of time.

The raging flames almost illuminated the entire night, and in just a moment, the Death Eaters' crazy attack trend suddenly stopped.

The place where the giant fire dragon was was like an insurmountable chasm, and no one dared to take a step forward.

Sirius looked at the scene in front of him and subconsciously licked his lips. He thought of the dozen or so Death Eaters who were just killed by Kyle.

Different magic, but equally neat and efficient. No wonder so many people say that Kyle is the next Dumbledore. His current strength seems to be only slightly lower than Dumbledore's.

It can also be said that he far surpassed everyone else in the Order of the Phoenix, including him.

"You can tell me now," Kyle asked. "I'm quite curious."

"After Snape dragged me down from the tower, I chased him out of the castle."

The Death Eaters gave up the attack, and Sirius was no longer so anxious. After a brief recollection, he said, "Then I lost him. Snape was very cunning. He created an illusion and made me mistakenly think that he was going to the underground classroom. When I rushed over, I found that I had been fooled."

"Then how did you find this place?" Kyle asked, while controlling the Fiendfyre to move forward, drowning some more people and forcing the remaining Death Eaters out of the school gate.

Ever since he killed the two Death Eaters in the Astronomy Tower, he no longer cared about magic.

It felt so relaxing to be able to let go. Kyle waved his wand, and five small fire phoenixes, about the size of sparrows, emerged from the huge body of the fire dragon.

The little phoenixes shuttled around the school at a faster speed, and when they encountered a lone Death Eater, they would dive down and give him a warm hug.

Unfortunately, Kyle can only control five. If there are more, there is a possibility of accidental injury.

Sirius began to lick his lips again. This kind of delicate manipulation of magic... He always felt that Kyle was showing off, so he finally turned his head away and pretended not to see it.

"Because of Lucius Malfoy."

Sirius continued, "After losing sight of Snape, I wanted to go back to the Astronomy Tower, but I happened to see him and Narcissa hurrying across the grounds."

"I thought they were planning something and wanted to target Hogwarts, so I followed them to see what was going on... I didn't expect them to come here and bring someone out from the stadium locker room, someone who had disappeared a long time ago."

"Draco Malfoy." Kyle asked softly.

"Yes, that's right." Sirius nodded and said through gritted teeth:

"Draco Malfoy, the little Death Eater who killed Dumbledore, has been at the school the whole time, hiding in the Quidditch changing rooms.

"It's a great place, isn't it? Ever since the Quidditch match was cancelled, no one will go there. Even the patrolling Aurors are too lazy to search it."

Sirius said, waving his wand vigorously, trying to find a Death Eater to vent his anger on.

However, Kyle had already cleared the area around him. There were no Death Eaters, not even a bug. In the end, he could only blow up a few rocks to show his appreciation.

"What happened next?"

"Snape is here too," said Sirius, "He seemed to have known that Draco Malfoy was there, and I knew then that it was he who saved the little Death Eater.

"I wanted to rush over, but there were three of them. I didn't know how to catch them all, so I hesitated."

"Luckily I made this decision." Sirius said with lingering fear, "Because the mysterious man is here too, and he seems to want to kill that little bastard Draco Malfoy.

"Lucius and Narcissa knelt down and begged him. They said something, but unfortunately I was a little far away and didn't hear it clearly.

"By the time I went around it from another route, the You-Know-Who and the Malfoys had disappeared. I only saw Snape, and he seemed to know that I was nearby."

"You mean, where is he waiting for you?" Kyle raised his eyebrows.

"It just felt that way," said Sirius, "He led me to some bushes, where I found Connor unconscious.

"Snape asked me to bring Connor back to the castle, and said that everything he did had nothing to do with Connor... I couldn't believe that someone like Snape would actually take the initiative to bow to me."

"But Snape took it for granted that everyone was like him."

"Even if he doesn't say anything, I won't let it go. We all know that Kanna is a good girl. Almost half of the potions in this war were provided by her."

"What potion?" Kyle was stunned.

"You didn't know?" Sirius looked at Kyle, "Ever since Connor went to France, she has been providing us with various healing potions and antidotes. I thought you knew."

"I... don't know." Kyle shook his head stiffly.

No wonder Kanna’s potion shop was closed both times I went to see her. So this is what was going on.

All the potions were sent back to England, so of course they wouldn't open the door.

Kyle rubbed his forehead…Why didn’t he notice something was wrong at the time?

"You really don't know?" Sirius asked curiously, "Didn't she tell you?"

"No." Kyle shook his head, "And I guess Snape doesn't know either."

"Okay," said Sirius, "you know what happened next. I was going to take Connor back to the castle, but I ran into those Death Eaters.

"Luckily you came here early, but what kind of magic did you use before? It seems familiar to me."

"The Sharp Strike," said Kyle. "It's also a spell invented by Snape."
