Chapter 100 Whereabouts Exposed

But just when he thought he would have to wait until tomorrow to see Ron and Hermione, he saw Ron and Hermione in Florin Fusco's ice cream shop.

"Harry! Finally meet you! Harry, we went to the Leaky Cauldron to look for you, but Tom-the boss said you had left." Ron shouted happily.

He probably didn't want to mention the name "Tom", so he changed his words abruptly, but this didn't affect Ron's mood. He put his arm around Harry's shoulders and said excitedly, "I heard that you blew up your aunt during the summer vacation?"

"Don't mention it, and I didn't mean to do it. I just can't control myself sometimes." Harry got angry when he said that. If it weren't for Aunt Marge, Uncle Dursley would not have been unwilling to sign his application.

And Harry almost thought he was going to be expelled from school.

"That's the problem, why don't they fire you?" Hermione was very puzzled.

"I wonder, too."

"Come on, Hermione, you sound like you hope Harry gets expelled." Ron rolled his eyes and said with a smile, "Maybe it's because you're the famous Harry Potter. I dare not think about how the Ministry of Magic will deal with me if I blow up an aunt. But at least they have to dig me out of the ground first, because Mum must have killed me! "Well, you can ask my dad tonight. We plan to stay at the Leaky Cauldron today, so we can go to King's Cross Station together tomorrow." Ron said, taking another quick bite of ice cream.

Harry grinned. He wanted to talk to Ron and Hermione about Mr. Sellers' letter, but this was obviously not the right place.

"Let's eat quickly, I have something to tell you." Harry said hurriedly.

"We just happened to want to talk to you about Riddle." Ron lowered his voice.

The three of them quickly finished their ice cream, and then walked towards the Leaky Cauldron with a guilty conscience. After all, "Mr. Riddle" was still a wanted criminal by the Ministry of Magic, and their attitudes seemed to be to protect him.

"Wrong! You are the ones who are planning to cover up for him!" Ron slammed the door shut, then turned around and said firmly.

"Don't be like this, Ron, you know Mr. Riddle is not a bad man." Hermione used a pleading tone.

Ron shrugged and leaned back in his chair. "I don't think so."

"The fact is, he didn't hurt any of us!" Hermione turned to look at Harry angrily, "Harry, you should also know about Mr. Riddle's escape from prison, right? Now the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic are searching for him everywhere. He must be in danger. I don't know how we can help him."

She sighed, "Ginny was very worried too."

"Dad and Mom are more worried. They're always afraid that Ginny will go find Riddle in a fit of rage," said Ron. "But, do you think Riddle is really the mysterious man? I always feel that Professor Dumbledore is wrong."

"Speaking of this..." Harry finally had a chance to speak, "Actually, I received a letter from Mr. Riddle, no, I received a letter from Mr. Sellers on my birthday."

"What, he actually wrote to you?" Ron and Hermione shouted at the same time, but they expressed completely different meanings.

Ron: He actually dared to write to you, does he want to die?

Hermione: He actually wrote to you, why didn't he write to me?

"Where's the letter?" they both said at the same time.

"After I read the letter, it burned itself, leaving only this." Harry took out the Quidditch star's animated greeting card that he had left behind, causing Ron to scream again.

"It's Krum!"

He held the greeting card in his hands like a pilgrim, his eyes almost popping out of his head: "I was wrong, he is such a good man!"

In contrast, Hermione's attention was focused on the words on the back of the card.

"Expecto Patronus? Is this a spell?"

"He said I might need it this semester, so he told me to learn it early." Harry said with a blushing face.

He naturally had no chance to practice during the summer vacation at the Dursleys', but after arriving at the Leaky Cauldron, his whole mind was focused on this year's new flying broom.

"This spell seems to be the Patronus Charm." After Hermione recalled all the books she had read, she finally found the relevant content. "This is not a spell that little wizards of our age can learn at all."

"Really? But I think Mr. Sellers thinks I can learn it, otherwise he wouldn't have written it on the greeting card." Harry said a little proudly.

Hermione couldn't help but punch him twice at his smug look! "Watch out, I'll beat you up!"

"Didn't you beat him already?" Harry screamed, covering his nose.

"How should I know? He always has a lot of secrets." Harry said, "By the way, what is a Soul Eater?"

"The Azkaban guard." Ron shuddered. This was a rare thing, Harry rarely saw Ron get scared when he heard anything other than the word Voldemort or spider.

"If you want to know how horrible they are, just ask Hagrid. He spent several months there last year. When he came back all the joy was gone."

"I thought he was just sad that Aragog and the other Acromantulas were dead," said Harry.

He passed over this topic and went on to talk about other things in the letter. Unexpectedly, neither Ron nor Hermione objected to Harry keeping these things secret from Dumbledore.

Ron explained haltingly, "I think he is indeed different, isn't he? He even gave you a greeting card! But I didn't expect he had a backup plan. I guess he may have expected to meet Dumbledore."

They didn't discuss it for long, because Mrs. Weasley came back with Ginny. Ron remembered that he had to go get some medicine for Scabbers, and Hermione was going to buy an owl. Harry wanted to go with them, but was taken aside by Mr. Weasley.

"Harry, come here Harry."

Arthur Weasley is a middle-aged man with a slightly bald head, but his family is very kind. Harry spent some time at the Weasleys' last summer vacation, which was a rare happy time for him.

"Hello, Mr. Weasley."

"Harry," said Mr. Weasley, putting his hand on Harry's shoulder and leading him to his room, "Molly may not want me to tell you, but I want to tell you anyway, maybe you already know -"

"You mean, about Mr. Sellers? I know he has escaped from prison." Harry struggled with what expression he should show. But Arthur Weasley shook his head.

"No, no, with the You-Know-Who - well, maybe he's not the You-Know-Who, but he has little to do with him." Arthur finally changed his words and continued, "I want to talk about Sirius Black. Although Fudge insisted that they were in the same group, we actually didn't find any connection between their escapes. Black escaped almost half a month earlier than Riddle."

Harry listened in a daze as he talked about things related to Sirius Black, but he didn't understand what the relationship between this person and him was.

"Sirius Black is one of the most brutal Death Eaters under You-Know-Who. He once blew up an entire street with a spell, killing more than a dozen Muggles." Arthur said seriously, "And his purpose must be to kill you for his 'master'!"

Harry's face changed, but he couldn't be said to be very scared.

"Harry, I want you to promise meβ€”"

"-promise to be a good boy and not leave the castle?" Harry said glumly. But after all, he couldn't leave the castle, there was no name on the application to go to Hogsmeade.

"Not exactly," said Mr. Weasley, looking more serious than Harry had ever seen him. "Harry, you promise me you won't go looking for Black."

"What?" Harry looked at him in astonishment, not seeming to understand what Mr. Weasley meant.

"But why should I want to go to a man who wants to kill me?" he said absurdly. "You might as well advise me not to go to Mr. Sellers."

"Dumbledore believes that Tom Riddle will not return to Hogwarts in the short term. And his target does not seem to be you, otherwise he would have had many opportunities to kill you last year." Arthur Weasley said, "But Sirius Black is different. You have to promise me, Harry!"

Arthur Weasley was very serious, even a little aggressive.

Harry always felt that something was a little strange, but the only thing he knew was that the Weasleys were all very good people, and they would never want to see him get hurt. So he had no choice but to nod in agreement, and swore that he would never take the initiative to find Sirius Black.

"Now I finally know why Mr. Sellers said I would have new troubles." Harry sighed.

In the evening, Ron and Hermione returned.

There seemed to be something amiss between the two of them, and Harry soon saw why.

Hermione was holding an ugly-looking orange cat in her arms, and the cat seemed to be very interested in Ron's mouse, Scabbers.

Harry told them what Mr. Weasley had asked him to promise, and Ginny also got involved, but they didn't understand why. Instead, during dinner, another piece of news made them uneasy.

Arthur Weasley put down the letter, first glanced at Ginny, then extended his gaze to Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and slowly said: "A letter from the Ministry. They said that they found Tom Riddle's whereabouts. It seems that he appeared in Little Hangletonshire not long ago."
