"You've taken action, Tom. Let me see if you are the same person." Dumbledore put down the envelope in his hand and slowly sat back in his chair.
The phoenix is combing its beautiful feathers on the table.
People say that Albus Dumbledore is the greatest wizard in the world, but sometimes he thinks he might be the most sinful one.
The two terrible demons that appeared in the past hundred years are closely related to him.
Of course, sometimes we have to admit that Gellert Grindelwald and Voldemort would have ended up on the same path with or without Dumbledore, and that the world would have been a much sadder place without Dumbledore to stop them.
Gellert will reshape the order of the wizard and Muggle worlds, and the two sides will inevitably provoke a war. Grindelwald is a person who attaches great importance to ability. Perhaps he will find that young Tom Riddle has extraordinary talents and choose him as his successor. Or the two sides will embark on a path of confrontation.
No matter which one it is, it will be a bloody future.
He felt a little tired, his mind still recollecting the experiences of the previous two school years. He had several doubts that needed to be answered.
The first is whether the resurrected "Tom Riddle" is Voldemort? If so, are there conflicts between their existences? If not, who is he?
So after Cyrus escaped from prison, or to be more precise, after Cyrus was resurrected, Dumbledore began to consciously spread the news to Albania and to the ears of Voldemort, who was even worse than a ghost.
His second doubt was based on the premise that Cyrus and Tom Riddle were not the same person. Dumbledore still needed to find out whether the other party was harmful or not, and he did not want to see the rise of a third terrifying dark wizard.
The third doubt, or expectation, is more appropriate.
He really wanted to know if Voldemort would try to find the old Horcrux after knowing that one of his Horcruxes had been "resurrected"? If so, he would probably leave a loophole.
"Tom, who claimed to be Cyrus, went to Riddle House and Gaunt House after his resurrection. He couldn't have hidden his Horcruxes in a place like Riddle House where Muggles live. That would be a shame for him. So it seems that he only took the Horcrux hidden in Gaunt House." Dumbledore thought, "But the Ministry of Magic - would he hide the Horcruxes in the Ministry of Magic?"
Dumbledore found that unlikely.
Although the Ministry of Magic symbolizes power, which seems to be something Voldemort is born with, Voldemort actually despises the Ministry of Magic. He thinks his power is far higher than that of the Ministry of Magic, not to mention that the Ministry of Magic is a place with people coming and going, and it is not safe.
"Cyrus... who are you?" - "Dawlish, who is the person you said was in contact with the goblin?"
It was another day, and Tonks was getting bored of staying in the Hog's Head.
In fact, Cyrus has been living with her for more than half a month. Even the Aurors and Soul Eaters have relaxed their vigilance a little, and the goblin is happy to sit in the bar every day waiting for someone who may not exist.
Tonks had changed everyone she had a vague impression of during this time, so as not to reveal her weakness. Cyrus, on the other hand, used the excuse of "I'm not good at Transfiguration" to shirk boring surveillance activities and went out to play, which made Tonks very angry.
"No matter who he is, or whether this person exists or not, since it's a job, we should do it well." Cyrus said and slipped out.
"How dare you say that? Who sneaks into the Three Broomsticks to see Rosmerta every day? Be careful or I'll write a letter to your wife!" Tonks resisted the urge to rush up and punch Cyrus, and said angrily.
"I'm not here to see the boss's wife. I just don't want to eat among a bunch of flies. Besides, I have a very good relationship with my wife. I bought her a cat-civet a few days ago." Cyrus said without turning his head.
In fact, the animal he sent was Dawlish himself. After Cyrus turned Dawlish into a python, Dawlish ran away. Later, Cyrus took some time to find Dawlish and turned him into a cat and gave him to his wife.
Cyrus became Dawlish only to find the key to the 12 vaults, not to break up other people's families.
He stretched himself and walked out of the Hog's Head Inn. Instead of heading to the main road of Hogsmeade, he turned to a more remote place: the Shrieking Shack, a haunted house famous throughout the British wizarding world.
A few months ago, Cyrus fought with Dumbledore here, and was defeated by Dumbledore, and even the house was destroyed. But now it seems that Dumbledore has repaired the house, and even its appearance has not changed.
No, it’s not that nothing has changed.
In fact, there were more signs of life in the house. It seemed that a werewolf had returned here, but this time he did not add new scars to this precarious house.
Somehow, Cyrus wanted to go back to Hogwarts, but he was a little worried about the Marauder's Map. He was not sure if Dumbledore had the map. He was even more unsure if Dumbledore would kill him directly if he met him again.
Even if this body was not Voldemort's soul, death was still a terrible thing for a young life like Cyrus. Especially since he had put so much thought into resurrection, how could he be willing to die like this? In the end, he turned back.
He walked into the Hog's Head, but surprisingly, there was no sign of Tonks. The goblin who sat in the bar day after day was not there today. Cyrus immediately realized that the person he was waiting for might have appeared, and Tonks might have followed him on her own initiative.
Aberforth's actions confirmed Cyrus's guess.
He saw Cyrus coming back and threw him a folded note with an unhappy look on his face.
"That girl was left for you. I think she is probably in danger."
Cyrus immediately opened the letter:
"Dawlish, the person the goblin is waiting for has appeared. It's a wizard! I have to follow him. I left you a trace. I'll see you then."
"When did it happen?" Cyrus put the note away and asked seriously.
"After lunch, it's been almost five hours," Aberforth replied casually. "You'd better hurry. That girl can't be their opponent."
He didn't need to remind him that Cyrus would never let Tonks get hurt. He rushed out of the bar so fast that he almost knocked down the shabby door.
Cyrus waved his wand in front of him: "Revelation!"
A golden mist spread out, and in the glittering mist, a row of footprints extended into the distance.
