Chapter 13 Green Tea Master Cyrus

It took Ginny less than five minutes to get back to the Gryffindor common room.

Gryffindor and Ravenclaw's common rooms are both in the tower, just not on the same side, and the tower is connected to the eighth floor of the castle.

There are five towers in Hogwarts. The tallest central tower is used as an astronomy classroom. The other four are located in the east, south, west and north. The north tower is the divination classroom, and the west tower is the owl shed.

The southeast sides are used as common rooms and dormitories for Gryffindor and Ravenclaw respectively.

When Ginny came from under the Fat Lady's statue, several students were a little surprised.

"Ginny, aren't you in detention with Ron and the others?" Percy frowned. He was not in a good mood because everyone in the Weasley family was in detention except himself.

In fact, the entire Gryffindor team was not spared.

"That's right, but Professor Flitwick thinks I cast the spell very well, and he thinks I shouldn't waste my time in detention," Ginny said immediately.

This made Percy very happy.

"Well done. I told you, being a good student will never go wrong! Look, Hermione wasn't punished this time. If you ask me, protecting our Weasley family will probably depend on you and me!" Percy said as he walked out.

"It's so late, where are you going?"

"Just a little thing..." Percy explained vaguely.

Ginny didn't ask any more questions. She was in a hurry to find "Mr. Riddle".

Ginny quickly returned to her dormitory, used a spell to unlock the drawer, spread out the black-covered diary on the table, and paused for a long time with the ink-stained feather pen above the diary. Finally, Ginny took a deep breath and slowly put pen to paper.

"Mr. Riddle, I have something to ask you..."

After finishing a sentence, Ginny quickly wrote the next sentence without waiting for the diary to respond. When she first started writing, she felt that asking this question was so difficult, but now she seemed unable to stop and wrote to the bottom in one breath.

"I lost a day's memory - I clearly remembered that it was Thursday when I went to bed, but when I woke up the next day, it was Saturday. My classmates said that I took Friday off, but in fact I don't remember it at all - what do you think happened to me?"

She expressed it very tactfully, trying not to sound suspicious of "Mr. Riddle", but in fact, perhaps this was also a little bit of Ginny's inner hope. She didn't want this matter to have anything to do with "Mr. Riddle".

At least, there is no clear evidence yet.

Then, she nervously watched the ink disappear on the yellowed paper. She felt as if there was a little man in her chest holding a huge hammer and hitting her hard, making her breathless.

'Would it be you, Mr. Riddle? ' — 'Found out?'

In the memory space, Cyrus looked at the long sentence that appeared before his eyes and began to think about how to answer.

"From her look, she seems unsure whether it was me who did it. Should we continue to follow her lead?"

"Or find another reason?"

Judging from the current situation, Ginny Weasley still believed in me. If I said I didn't know about it, or blamed it on other reasons, she would probably be willing to believe it.

Sometimes telling the truth is a better deception than lying.

"You found out. I had intended to keep it a secret. I'm sorry, Ginny..." Cyrus tried to make his tone sound more sincere and self-blaming. "In fact, it was me who controlled your body. As expected, for an evil magic tool like me... you'd better destroy me."

"It's really you..." Ginny said in disbelief.

Although she had guessed it before, Ginny was still reluctant to believe it when Cyrus told her the truth himself.

"But - why?" Ginny asked anxiously. However, it was not so much that she needed an explanation, but rather that she really needed to find an excuse for "Mr. Riddle" to prove that "Mr. Riddle" was not dangerous.

"What?" Cyrus immediately pretended to be serious and said, "Ginny, no matter what the reason is, my behavior is unforgivable. A magic item actually controlled the body of a wizard. If this happened to me, I would definitely destroy it immediately!

"You should do the same. Destroy me Ginny, it's just a diary."

"No!" Ginny wrote vigorously. "I don't think you're an evil tool - I mean, if you were evil, why didn't you do anything? Helping me with my weekend homework isn't exactly an evil act. You're hiding something, aren't you?"

Seeing that Ginny had already helped him find an excuse before he said anything, Cyrus couldn't help but sigh that children are indeed easy to be deceived. In other words, people are always willing to believe what they want to believe.

This time, he deliberately remained silent for a long time before answering.

"You're right—" There was magic in his words, making Ginny feel sad and low. "I should have told you that I'm just a little memory left in Tom Riddle's diary."

"Um."

"And have you ever wondered where the real Tom Riddle is now?"

"The real Tom Riddle..." Ginny murmured this sentence. In fact, she already had a guess in her heart. In the medal display room, Tom Riddle received the medal fifty years ago.

"Could it be that, Mr. Riddle, you have already..."

"Yes, actually I have been dead for many years." Cyrus began to impress Ginny with his "tragic" past. Gryffindor lions are always more emotional than rational. "My death is actually related to the mysterious man. He was very rampant at that time."

"So, you were killed by the mysterious man?" Ginny asked back, but it was obvious that she believed the answer.

"It's all in the past..." Cyrus didn't answer, but just kept talking to himself, "I was made into a diary when I was a student. So many years have passed, and I really miss this world. It has always been my wish to breathe fresh air again while still alive."

"Mr. Riddle..." Ginny burst into tears. Although she thought that "Mr. Riddle" might be dead, she didn't expect that he would be killed by a mysterious man when he was a student. This was really pitiful.

She didn't notice the contradiction in what Cyrus said at this time. During the summer vacation, Cyrus said that he had graduated from school.

"No matter what, my behavior is unforgivable." Cyrus kept scolding himself like a green tea, which made Ginny even more upset. How could Ginny, who was only a first-year student, tell the difference between a green tea? Cyrus beat her up so hard that even the KTV was smoking.

"Ginny, you can destroy me, or hand me over to the professors at school. But before that, I want to see you - thank you for talking to me during this time. It is indeed a painful and torturous thing to be trapped in the diary for decades."
