Chapter 17 To be or not to be, that is the question

Let’s go back to the dinner party.

Although the Slytherin table was also lively, it was far less cheerful than Gryffindor's due to the personalities of the little snakes.

Bored Malfoy was eating while wondering whether he should use Halloween as an excuse to scare Harry Potter and the little lions who caused him to be punished by Dean Snape.

However, when he looked towards the Gryffindor table, he did not see any trace of those annoying guys.

Of course, Malfoy didn't suspect anything at this time. After all, Gryffindor was different from Slytherin, who had to follow the order of seating when eating. Those guys who didn't know etiquette always went to any seat available. And he didn't dare to look directly at Gryffindor, otherwise if the other little snakes saw him, they would think he was going to rebel against the school!

Once a person has an idea in his heart, it will soon turn into action.

Before the dinner was over, Malfoy had already made up his mind that he would let them see how powerful he was tonight. Even if he was caught, he could say it was a tradition on Halloween and it was unlikely that he would be punished.

Therefore, when the dinner was over, he simply did not follow the Slytherin team, but secretly mixed into the Ravenclaw team.

Then, the previous scene appeared.

Although he didn't know who was playing the prank, Malfoy thought the other person was a genius! That's right, Malfoy actually thought it was a prank. Last time on the court, Slytherin suffered a big loss, so of course someone would want to retaliate! Especially Musk Flint, who was hit by the pimple curse, he almost lost all his face.

Of course, he had heard of the legend of the Chamber of Secrets, but would a half-blood, a pure-blood shame, and a mudblood open the Chamber of Secrets left by Slytherin, one of the four great masters? Therefore, Malfoy naturally thought that this was a prank. Of course, this did not prevent him from adding fuel to the fire!

To this end, he immediately read the words on the wall aloud, causing a commotion, preferably so that others would think that the murderer was Harry Potter and his minions.

Being watched by hundreds of eyes, Harry and the other two could not hide their panic. He regretted not listening to Ron and leaving this place, but it was too late. Malfoy's voice first attracted Filch, the poor and hateful old man who was holding his cat like a madman.

Harry had no doubt that Filch would have let him pay for his cat's life if it had been possible!

"You! You killed my cat! You killed it! I'm going to kill you! I'm going to--"

"Argus!"

Dumbledore arrived, followed by many other teachers, and in a blink of an eye he had passed Harry, Ron, and Hermione and untied Mrs. Norris from the torch stand.

"Come with me, Argus," he said to Filch, "and you, Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, Miss Granger."

Lockhart came forward hastily.

"My office is closest to here, the principal—it's upstairs—you can—"

"Thank you, Gilderoy," said Dumbledore.

The silent crowd parted to let them pass, and Lockhart, in great excitement and high spirits, hurried after Dumbledore, followed by Professors McGonagall and Snape.

Only hundreds of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students were left looking at each other, not knowing what to do.

"That's amazing! Why didn't we think of getting rid of the cat?" said Fred.

"Maybe because we have a secret weapon?"

"What secret weapon?" Lee Jordan came forward.

"That thing can indeed hinder Mrs. Norris's sense of smell." Li nodded in agreement, and then said, "I really don't know what will happen to Harry and Ron. They shouldn't have stayed at the crime scene after doing this!"

"What do you think, Ginny? That Ron is your brother, right?" Colin turned his head and asked Ginny in the crowd, "I don't think the murderer can be Harry. He can't do such a thing. It would be too sad if Harry Potter was expelled. I wrote a letter to my brother, and he also wants to meet Harry Potter."

He spoke quickly.

And now, Ginny was a little distracted because she was worried about the situation of Ron, Harry and Hermione.

"Do you think the Chamber of Secrets is real? I've never heard of it. The bloodstains don't seem to be completely dry yet, so the cat must have died not long ago. You came a little late today, did you find any traces of the murderer?"

"What?" Ginny's eyes widened.

What did it mean that she was a little late? She wanted to ask in detail, but Percy and the Ravenclaw prefects had already reacted to the noise and started to organize discipline. Ginny had to suppress her doubts in her heart.

"Okay, stop arguing! Line up!" Percy yelled, "And you, you should go back to Slytherin, or I'll deduct points from you!"

After driving Malfoy away, hundreds of footsteps continued to move forward, but Percy couldn't stop the discussion in the crowd no matter how hard he shouted.

"Okay, Percy, just leave them alone." Penelope Crevart couldn't help but say.

When Ginny returned to the common room, she was still thinking about what Colin had said. But there were too many people in the common room, and everyone was discussing what had just happened, and the rumor about the secret room immediately began to spread.

'Mr. Riddle seems to say that he knows the locations of many chambers of secrets. Could this be the location of Slytherin's chamber?'

She didn't doubt yet that Cyrus had done all this.

Ginny just wanted to know if Cyrus had seen the real murderer or had any clues when he was controlling her body. It would be even better if he knew where the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets was!

So she returned to the dormitory alone, spread her diary on the bed, and drew the curtains.

"Mr. Riddle, do you know Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets?"

"Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets? Why are you suddenly asking this?" Cyrus asked back.

Ginny slowly wrote down what happened after the dinner.

"I was wondering if you, Mr. Riddle, have found any clues or know anything about Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets?"

"Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets..."

Tell the truth or hide the truth? Cyrus is now in this dilemma. He doesn't know whether Tom in the original book has told Ginny about this matter, and it is obviously risky to tell it.

But at least after meeting Harry, Riddle immediately couldn't wait to show his memories.

To say or not to say, that is the question.
