What came into view was a circular room with a dozen identical black doors without any markings or handles.
The doors were set some distance apart from one another, as if set into the surrounding black walls.
"If you count the one that was kicked away just now, there are exactly twelve doors," said Cedric.
"Okay, don't mention that door!" Cassandra replied in irritation. The door that she kicked away was still lying on the black marble floor. The faint flickering light from the candles with blue flames on the wall made it look like there was a pool of black water on the floor.
The door looked like a lone boat floating in the water.
Perhaps because there was one less door, the circular hall did not rotate this time.
"I think the treasure should be hidden in the room." Furong said.
In fact, she didn't need to say it. There was nothing in front of her except the door, and the treasures could only be in different rooms.
"Time is running out, let's search separately." Cedric raised his wand and pistol and warned, "We don't know what dangers we may encounter, so it's best to pick up the wand."
Cassandra said nothing, but she moved decisively toward a door.
“Squeak—”
This time it was easily pushed open.
As soon as she opened the door, a smell that had been sealed for years hit her in the face. The damp smell and dust got into her nose, making Cassandra feel a little uncomfortable.
She didn't walk in rashly, but took a look inside first. It was pitch black inside.
"Lumos."
She raised her wand, and as the faint light at the tip of the wand lit up, the room seemed to be filled with sparks at the same moment. Countless points of light flickered in the darkness, as if it were an entire starry sky.
"Crystal ball?"
Cassandra was stunned for a moment, and immediately realized that this was the Hall of Prophecy that Cyrus had told her about.
Wizards have very different attitudes towards prophecy, some are eager to believe it, while others sneer at it. This is related to the uneven level of prophets in the magic world.
Most of the prophets in the world today are charlatans seeking fame and fortune. Perhaps their ancestors did have some glory, but as the ability to predict has been passed down to this day, it has almost disappeared.
Cassandra didn't really care about the prophecy. She walked into the room, stepping on the thick dust, which stained her originally white socks. However, she didn't care much, but looked around vigilantly while walking inside.
The huge shelves were who knows how many tens of meters high, and even if you looked up you couldn't see the top. Yet shelves like these were lined up in countless numbers, not to mention the number of prophecy balls.
She lit her wand and walked inside. The doorway with a faint light was getting farther and farther away from her, like a train gradually moving away from the entrance of a tunnel.
Cassandra became more cautious, but to her surprise, there seemed to be no traps in the Department of Mysteries.
But come to think of it, it would be terrible if something went wrong in setting up levels in such an important place.
"Human traces are revealed."
Cassandra cast a spell, and golden footprints began to extend from under her feet, jumping step by step into the darkness. She followed the footprints and soon found Harry Potter, who was tied up and unconscious in the maze-like Hall of Prophecy.
"Harry Potter?"
Cassandra was stunned for a moment, with an expression of confusion and a little disgust on her face.
It was supposed to be a treasure, so why did a Harry Potter suddenly appear? "Whose treasure could be Harry Potter?" Cassandra thought of Cyrus and shuddered...
She shook her head vigorously to get rid of this terrible idea from her mind: "Even if it was Ginny Weasley or Hermione Granger, I would think it was normal, how could it be Harry Potter!"
She admitted that Cyrus sometimes treated Harry with special favors, but that was because of the relationship between Harry and Voldemort. The two of them were indeed good friends, but they were not enough to be called treasures.
"If I give up the second project, maybe the treasure will be mine." Cassandra thought, but she suddenly had an idea and became curious about her own treasure.
If all the treasures were students, Cassandra couldn't think of anyone worth saving.
But she didn't think much about it, it was just a game after all.
"Let's wake him up first."
Cassandra pointed her wand at Harry. "Clear as spring water."
She summoned a stream of cool spring water, and the small magic wand seemed to have turned into a water pipe. Water came out from the tip of the wand and poured onto Harry's head and into his clothes.
The unconscious Harry shuddered and woke up immediately.
"Cassandra?" He was surprised.
"What? Don't you want to see me?" Cassandra put away her wand coldly.
"No, I just -" Harry stretched his head and looked around, "I just thought it would be Professor Dumbledore who came to save me."
"You are his treasure?" Cassandra asked back, "That makes sense, but do you know what my treasure and Cyrus's treasure are?"
Harry nodded. He asked Cassandra to untie him first, then shook off the water on his body and lit a fire to keep warm. "Professor McGonagall asked all those who were considered treasures to go to the office. Your treasure is Hermione, and Cyrus's treasure is Ginny."
"Hermione Granger?"
This is really a treasure to make up the number.
Cassandra thought to herself.
"So, where is she?"
"I don't know. I passed out a long time ago." Harry shook his head. After sitting by the fire for a while, he felt much better. "I thought the professor would find me first..."
"Cyrus and Grindelwald are fighting." Cassandra said as she lowered her head to study the footprints. "Dumbledore sent us down first--"
"you?"
"And Diggory and Delacour," Cassandra looked up, "Let's go, I don't think there's anyone else in the Hall of Prophecy."
The two of them walked out together. When they left the Prophecy Hall, they saw Cedric carrying the unconscious Zhang Qiu out, and Harry almost suffocated.
"Hey, Harry!" Cedric greeted Harry happily, "I found my treasure!"
"Yeah..." Harry said very uncomfortably, his eyes were fixed on Zhang Qiu who was carried by Cedric on his back, and he couldn't move his gaze away at all.
"Where's the Veela?" Cassandra asked.
As soon as Cassandra finished her words, Fleur emerged from a room and replied in a hostile tone, "Here!"
A few people looked over and immediately saw Fleur walking out with difficulty, holding Hermione with one hand and Ginny with the other.
"These two girls were lying together, so I brought them both out."
"Thank you, this is my treasure." Cassandra raised her wand, and Hermione flew towards Cassandra as if she was pulled by an invisible rope.
"Now that both of you have found the treasure?" Furong said in a strange tone, "In that case, what are you waiting for?"
"Does anyone remember we're an alliance?" Cedric said.
Furong gave him a surprised look.
Although the three of them formed an alliance, for Fleur, this so-called alliance was just an insurance to prevent herself from being eliminated by Cassandra. Perhaps only Cedric took it seriously.
"I think we can win together, don't you?" Cedric looked at Cassandra.
He was asking for Cassandra's advice.
"It seems that someone wants to show some gentlemanly manners?" Cassandra habitually said sarcastically, but in fact she had no objection to Cedric's proposal. "Forget it, after all, you helped me find the 'treasure', and I don't want to owe you a favor - Harry!"
"What?"
"What is this Veela's treasure?"
"Uh, I remember it was a little girl." Harry said after thinking for a while.
"Gabrielle!" Fleur screamed. She didn't expect that her treasure was actually her sister, and she suddenly became anxious.
"Let's help find it together." Cedric thought for a moment and followed Cassandra's lead to wake up Zhang Qiu. Hermione and Ginny also woke up, and the seven of them gathered together. Ginny didn't look very happy.
She thought she would see Cyrus as soon as she opened her eyes!
"Let's split up and look for it."
"Just watch me..." Cassandra repeated her old trick, "Revelation."
It was as if a handful of golden powder was sprinkled on the crowd. In the circular hall, the interlaced footsteps extended to different rooms. Fleur immediately recognized Gabrielle's footprints - the child was not even old enough to go to school, and the footprints looked particularly small.
"She's heading for the Hall of Time," Cassandra said, looking serious and frowning.
"Any questions?"
No one realized there was anything wrong with this.
Except Hermione: "Don't you notice that these are her own footprints?"
The alert witch raised her eyes and looked at the others, especially at Furong's delicate face. She paused for a moment and said, "We are all under a spell, it is impossible for us to wake up early."
"But maybe there was something wrong with the spell..." Harry tried to think positively.
"Gabrielle and I are both one-quarter Veela, and perhaps her resistance to magic will allow her to wake up early." Fleur also said with a serious face.
"This is unreasonable. What's more, even if this is the case, she shouldn't walk around, right? We have all been reminded to stay where we are and wait for the rescue of the warriors." Hermione said.
At this time Cedric also added: "Dracule, I went to the Time Hall when I was looking for Qiu, and there was no one there."
Harry's heart broke when he heard Cedric calling Zhang Qiu's name affectionately. He tried not to show it, but he couldn't help but contradict Cedric.
"Maybe you missed it. We can check it again."
"Good idea." Cedric said seriously.
So, the group walked towards the Time Hall again.
Zhang Qiu looked around with surprise on his face, excitement flashing in his beautiful almond-shaped eyes.
"This is my first time in the Department of Mysteries."
"I advise you to be cautious." Cassandra saw that she looked relaxed and immediately reminded her coldly.
Gabrielle's strange behavior, coupled with the fact that she was from Beauxbatons, easily made Cassandra think of the Death Eaters' conspiracy. She thought those guys had given up the second game, but now it seems that they might have tampered with the "treasure".
"You mean there might be danger?" Zhang Qiu was still a little afraid of Cassandra, hiding behind Cedric and shrinking his head.
"It's better not to have it." Cassandra said so, but her wand was already raised in the most convenient position for attack and defense. Her serious look also affected the others, and the seven little wizards moved forward cautiously.
But the Time Hall was empty.
"No one's here?" Ginny almost took apart the giant grandfather clocks.
But Hermione stopped her: "Don't touch them, there are spells hidden in these clocks."
Of all the people present, Hermione knew the most about the Time-Turner.
The casing of the clock is actually a kind of protection, and the magic of time exists naturally.
"Look..." Harry walked to the end of the Time Hall, where there were broken glass shards all over the floor, shining brightly. "Cedric, was the glass here also broken when you entered this room last time?"
Cedric shook his head: "No..."
The broken glass attracted everyone. Suddenly, the broken glass was lifted up by some force and gathered together again in everyone's surprised gaze.
"Time is messing up," Hermione cried out worriedly.
This seemed to be a signal, and the flow of time suddenly gushed out, filling every corner of the room in an instant!
"when!"
Countless clocks began to tick at the same time! From all directions came the sound of soldiers arrayed in a continuous line...surrounding them all!
Cassandra looked around and saw that the pendulums of all the clocks were rapidly reversing, forming a black shadow on one side!
"careful!"
Everyone subconsciously took a step back, but everything in the room was already in chaos. Harry just took a step back and his body returned to its original position. Zhang Qiu, on the other hand, did nothing and suddenly returned to the moment he had just stepped into the room.
Cassandra felt something passing by her very quickly, like an illusory shadow.
"It's Gabrielle!" Fleur fell to the ground and shouted.
She saw Gabrielle's shadow approach the glass cover, and she pounced towards the shadow. However, in that instant, countless shadows and time surged over, as if the entire room was forming a vortex in the counterclockwise flow of time! "Boom!!!"
The golden light suddenly exploded!
A tall shadow walked out arrogantly from the flow of time.
He grabbed the unconscious child by the collar with one hand and swept his cold eyes over everyone present.
"Ah, Harry Potter," he said lightly.
Harry had never seen this face before, but he knew who it was at once—
Voldemort! (End of this chapter)
