Chapter 240 Voldemort Falls into a Trap

Cyrus waited until July 30th.

He also didn't expect that Voldemort would be so patient and didn't show up until the day before the game.

He walked around the empty Dursley house alone. In fact, many days ago, he had cast a spell on the three members of this family, causing them to temporarily leave Privet Drive and live in Aunt Marge's house for a few weeks.

It's not that the Dursleys offended Cyrus and let him take over their place, but considering that this place might be attacked by Death Eaters, Cyrus would have to pretend to be Harry, so it would be impossible for him to show his real ability, and he might not be able to protect them at that time.

But he didn't expect that Voldemort's men didn't show up until late in the evening.

"It seems that he plans to act on the road." Cyrus thought.

It is actually easy to understand the purpose of Voldemort's late action.

He thought that the later he took action, the more relaxed Cyrus and Dumbledore would be. At the same time, once he succeeded, the competition would be the next day, and Dumbledore and Cyrus would have no chance of recovery.

But on the other hand, this also means that Voldemort is very sure about the information revealed by Snape.

He believed in Snape!

"Okay, let's go back to school, Hedwig." Cyrus had packed all of Harry's luggage. He kept everything simple when he came, and there were few things in the suitcase, but he did bring the Firebolt and Hedwig.

This owl is so special.

It is so white and beautiful that no one can mistake it.

Cyrus had been with it for some time and liked Hedwig very much. He wanted to make sure Hedwig was not in danger.

Otherwise, it would be too cruel for Harry to find out that he was not dead and that he saw Hedwig's body after defeating Voldemort. Even if it was like the original book, Hedwig's body could not be found.

He sat in the living room for a while, playing Dudley's game console for a few minutes, and then there was a knock on the door.

Then, the fireplace that had been extinguished for a long time suddenly caught fire, and several figures jumped out while coughing.

"Ahem, you stepped on my foot," Sirius complained the loudest, and he glared back unhappily as Lupin pushed him forward.

Then, Arthur Weasley, Kingsley, Moody…even Ron and the twins.

Several more people came out one after another, all of them covered in dust.

Ron was the first to run over and say hello. He looked a little worried, his face was conflicted, and his features were twisted together, as if he had eaten a sour orange.

"Are you all right, Harry?" he said. "It's not easy to have your birthday tomorrow, and this is what happened. I prepared a birthday present for you, but I can only give it to you tomorrow."

If everyone is okay tomorrow.

Ron added this in his mind.

"Harry, I think you already know that Dumbledore thinks the mysterious man might come to attack you, so let us escort you." said Arthur, who was the most stable.

At the beginning, Snape told Voldemort that "someone would escort Harry back to school". He had to do the whole thing, otherwise Voldemort would become suspicious.

Moreover, no one present knew that the current Harry was a fake.

No one thought there was anything wrong with Voldemort coming to capture Harry. In fact, he had captured Harry several times.

"Thank you." Cyrus nodded shyly, as if he had been prepared for this. "Then let's go..."

There was no transformation this time, and in fact it was not necessary. Cyrus just wanted to create the illusion of an escort and did not really intend to return to Hogwarts safely.

He wanted to pretend to be captured by Voldemort and return the ownership of the Elder Wand to Voldemort -

The higher he stands, the more painful it will be when he falls! Not only will he feel pain, but he will also fall to death!

"Very well, let's go then," said Moody, and no one suggested taking the Floo Network.

It was easy for them to come here, but it was unlikely for them to leave through the Floo Network. No one knew whether there were Voldemort's people in the magical department that managed the Floo Network.

Perhaps Harry had just entered the fireplace, and the next second he appeared directly in front of Voldemort.

Although he was going to deliver it to the door, he couldn't be so obvious.

Portkeys or Apparition were out of the question, because Ron was still a minor and had traces on him, so any magic they performed near him would be detected immediately.

To be honest, this is why Cyrus insisted on including Ron as a member of the escort.

He transformed Harry perfectly, but there was no trace.

"Come on, grab your broom, Harry. The Firebolt is pretty good!" Moody's eye turned terrifyingly and he called out, but before he could take any action, he heard another cold voice.

"I'm afraid you can't go anywhere." Snape said slowly.

He didn't know when he appeared on the stairs to the second floor, and there seemed to be something struggling in his quagmire-like eyes.

"Snotlout?" Sirius was still stunned for a moment, "This escort operation doesn't have..."

Before he finished speaking, he figured out the key.

The appearance of a person who shouldn't be here only means one thing -

"You betrayed me?" Sirius' throat was burning.

"You're right, Sirius, do you want me to give you extra points?" Snape raised his lips and showed a sarcastic but happy smile. No matter which side he was on, mocking Sirius brought him the most real happiness.

Everyone subconsciously protected Harry behind them, even Ron was no exception.

"He doesn't even pretend now." Ron said to Cyrus angrily, "No wonder he has been targeting you all along. Now that his master is back, he can't wait to run back and be his traitor! No wonder Dumbledore didn't let him come to escort!"

Unfortunately, Snape still knew this special time.

Ron didn't say the rest of his sentence.

Many people present were as indignant as he was, but to be honest, not many people were surprised by Snape's sudden betrayal. People like Lupin and Arthur, they believed in Snape because Dumbledore believed in Snape.

Now, since Dumbledore did not allow Snape to join the escort, it has already shown that Dumbledore no longer trusts him. Under this premise, Snape's betrayal is also predictable.

They thought Dumbledore was a very predictable person.

"But if he really has foresight, he should come to escort them personally." Snape sneered, "How can you guys be enough?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Cyrus saw from the window that dozens of shadows were floating outside the house like ghosts, and the Death Eaters were gathering like wandering sharks.

Then, there was an unbridled spell attack!

Those people don't care about the Statute of Secrecy. In the past, they caused riots and massacred Muggles for fun. Even if they have restrained themselves now, it won't be much better.

At this moment, Barty Jr. led his men to blow up the wall of the Dursleys' house and walked out with a grin.

Sure enough, after seeing "Harry", little Barty began to believe Snape a little more.

"Well done, Snape." He said, then looked at Harry who was surrounded by the crowd and laughed, "Do you think you can hide, Harry? Come here and kneel before the Dark Lord. Maybe the Dark Lord will spare your friends' lives, otherwise they will all die tonight."

Hearing this, Cyrus took a step forward and Ron quickly grabbed him.

He thought Cyrus was really going to turn himself in.

Cyrus pushed him away and, imitating Harry's example, shouted at him stubbornly, "Really?"

"Your master is so powerful, why doesn't he come here in person?"

"Or is he afraid of being trapped, afraid of Cyrus and Dumbledore, so he hides and dares not show up?"

"He is just a stinky rat in the sewer. He has been wandering on the ground for two days and thinks he belongs in the sky?!"

Little Batty's face immediately turned gloomy. How could he tolerate his master being humiliated!

"Go ahead, kill them!"

But the first ones to take action were not the Death Eaters, but Moody!

In fact, he had already launched the attack before Barty Jr. shouted the order to attack. As an experienced Auror, he knew better than anyone that war was not a duel, and it was very important to seize the initiative.

Do we have to wait until both sides have finished speaking before we take action?

How about an afternoon tea?

How ridiculous!

"Avada Kedavra!"

He even used the Killing Curse the first time he attacked. He was even more of a Death Eater than a Death Eater! Many of Voldemort's new recruits were from France. They were not as cruel as the original Death Eaters. Moody's brazen attack frightened them.

This spell was cast with little Barty jumping around.

He and Batistuta are old rivals!

In that instant, Barty Jr. had already reacted. The Dursleys' carpet seemed to come alive. It seemed to have suddenly turned back into its original material, but it was a little too original -

A goat jumped up and stood between the two men.

Before it could even utter a cry it was hit by the killing curse and turned back into a tattered blanket.

In that instant, this poor house immediately turned into a battlefield. More than a dozen people cast spells at the same time, like hundreds of fireworks flashing together, and the sound of spells exploding was everywhere.

Cyrus saw Ron subconsciously shrink his head, and then forced himself to look up, saw Arthur Weasley using his right hand to block his son behind him, and saw Sirius roaring and attacking Snape...

Of course Snape was happy to compete with him! "Come on, let's see what tricks you, a dog, can do without that bastard James Pott?" he said coldly, and the whole person turned into a wisp of smoke.

The two people's spells collided at the same time, almost evenly matched.

Arthur was dealing with several Death Eaters at once, firing spells while holding a gun in his other hand.

Magic guns - Cyrus made several of these things. He gave the first one to Harry, and later gave some to Ron, Ginny and Hermione. Naturally, they would not forget these magic props that had shined in the competition during this breakout operation.

Arthur almost shot several Death Eaters away with one shot.

"I didn't know this thing was so useful!" He looked excited.

Ron didn't do too badly either, and although he looked extremely nervous, he still fought off several Death Eaters.

Cyrus was there to help him, and Ron's condition got better and better.

"Stupe!" He cast a spell suddenly and hit a Death Eater, but the effect of the spell was not very good. The Death Eater was dizzy, but he quickly recovered and prepared to fight back.

But before this guy raised his wand, Cyrus took action first.

In order to disguise himself as Harry, he had to hold back his strength and make his strength appear to be about the same level as Harry's.

"Well done Harry, we worked so well together!" Ron shouted happily.

But soon, he was not so optimistic.

Because there were too many Death Eaters! Besides Moody, other people rarely used Dark Curses, so ordinary spells didn't cause much damage. Death Eaters weren't stupid people who would just take a beating, so even if the spells worked, they wouldn't make them lose their fighting power.

There are more and more of them.

It continued to surround the members of the Order of the Phoenix, splitting them into small pieces and making it difficult for them to help each other.

Cyrus pretended to be overwhelmed, but in fact he was waiting for Voldemort to appear.

But Ron was really tired of dealing with it.

The wand in his hand was almost knocked away by a spell, and the back of his hand felt as if it was whipped by a whip. If Cyrus hadn't taken action at the critical moment, I'm afraid he would have lost his life.

"What should we do?" Ron shouted.

"Ron, George - take Harry away!" Arthur shouted from a distance.

He only had time to say George's name because it had fewer syllables, but everyone knew he was talking about his three sons.

"Let's break out!" Fred didn't have time to play games with names and identities. He grabbed Cyrus' arm, and with his other hand, he and George threw many strange things, catching the surrounding Death Eaters off guard.

Then another shot blasted open the pitiful door of the Dursleys' house.

"run!"

The four of them immediately ran outside.

"Let's go ride Sirius's motorcycle!" George shouted.

After Hagrid left Hogwarts, he returned the motorcycle to Sirius.

They rushed towards the road and the motorcycle was parked not far away - but they would never get there.

"boom!"

A flash of fire appeared, and a spell that came from nowhere blew the motorcycle into pieces. Not only the motorcycle, but the street, the entire Privet Drive was shattered under the power of the spell. The smooth asphalt road had now shattered into broken stones on the river bank.

The impact of the explosion was like a strong wind and almost blew down the four of them.

Cyrus took two steps back and bumped into a cold wall.

It was Voldemort's chest.

The Dark Lord has finally arrived.

"You're in my power, Harry."

You have fallen into my trap, Voldemort, Cyrus thought.
