Chapter 248: The Destruction of Voldemort

Snape's appearance was obviously unexpected to many people.

But it was also because of this that little Barty, who was on the Quidditch field, was even happier when he saw him. He had never been so happy to see Snape as he was now.

Especially the moment when Snape appeared and stopped Grindelwald.

"I misunderstood his loyalty!" Barty laughed happily, and then he looked at Bella, his face full of satisfaction! In fact, if Cyrus and Grindelwald really joined forces to defeat Voldemort, they could still defeat him, but it would still be difficult to kill him. Even if he couldn't beat this guy, he could always escape.

Voldemort is such a venomous snake who is good at shedding his skin.

And what about Grindelwald?

The moment Snape appeared, he actually stopped all his movements.

Of course Grindelwald didn't take Snape's threat seriously. Snape was indeed a powerful wizard, but compared to him, he was not strong enough!

What Grindelwald really fears is Voldemort.

After Voldemort was reminded by Snape, Grindelwald knew that he was destined to never get the Elder Wand.

So he simply jumped away and kept some distance from Voldemort to avoid being attacked by the other party.

Then, he looked at Cyrus and said with regret, "Boy, I have no choice. I can't do anything to him. You have to rely on yourself."

Grindelwald had made an unbreakable oath with Voldemort before, so he could take advantage of some loopholes, but he had no way to fight Voldemort head-on. This meant that he could not intervene in the upcoming battle.

"The plan didn't work out and there's nothing I can do about it," he said.

Cyrus didn't seem to care about it. Instead, he turned his gaze to Snape who was walking towards him with a gloomy face.

"I heard that you participated in the attack on Harry, Severus." Cyrus asked tactfully, "I remember that you and I got along quite well in Godric's Hollow. Why did you betray me?"

"Why, have you returned to Voldemort? Are you willing to be his servant instead of my friend?"

"Friend?" Snape looked sarcastic, as if he had heard a funny joke.

His expression at this moment was just like the one he had in every Potions class, which was very aggressive and he would utter ugly insults that were unbearable to hear the next moment.

But this time, Snape didn't actually say any swear words, but his words were still sharp.

"You gave the Resurrection Stone to Harry Potter, not to me," said Snape.

"You know I need it, does that count as a friend?"

Hearing what he said, Voldemort, who looked a little weak, smiled smugly. He looked back and forth between Snape and Cyrus, but said nothing.

On the contrary, Harry became excited and shouted at Snape:

"I explained to you that the Resurrection Stone cannot really revive a person!"

Basically, Harry now knows Snape's past, which happened when he was practicing brain occlumency. He saw some of Snape's memories in a hurry, but it was not comprehensive. What really made him understand those old past events was actually Lily's soul.

"I don't need her to really be alive!"

Snape said angrily, he was hysterical, and the look he gave Harry was as if he was looking directly at his greatest enemy in his life!

"I just need her to be by my side, that's enough!" He clenched his fists, revealing his greedy and selfish nature.

He just wanted to possess Lily Evans!

Gotta get her!

Snape breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed. "The Dark Lord has promised me that he will give me the Resurrection Stone after the competition... I will get everything I want."

He opened his arms, as if he had embraced the non-existent Lily, and his face showed a happy expression. This made Harry shiver all over, and the acid in his stomach almost filled his nasal cavity.

It's so disgusting to him!

Not only because of Snape's infatuated look at the moment, but also because there was a greasy man who never washed his hair and had been eyeing his mother...

"My mother was right to stay away from you!" he said angrily. "You are so pathetic!"

He really felt that Snape's behavior at this moment was very pitiful and sad, and of course, very hateful.

"You know, even if you hadn't said that mudblood, you wouldn't be with my mother!" Harry said, and Snape was shaking in the flames of anger.

"Shut up!"

"Do you think you and my mother parted ways just because of that sentence?"

"Shut up!"

"You're wrong!" Harry shouted.

"You two are not the same kind of people! You mixed up with those pure-bloods, joined the Death Eater reserve army, used dark magic to play tricks on people everywhere, looked down on Muggles, and disdained those wizards from the Muggle world!" Harry spoke louder and louder, and he ruthlessly tore off Snape's fig leaf.

"Actually you just look down on them and think they are mudbloods, right?!"

"You think you are superior to them because you are half wizard, don't you?!"

"Shut up!"

Snape roared angrily.

His body was shaking violently and his face was pale and bloodless. It was obvious that what Harry said was right.

Snape initially only hated Muggles.

All of this is understandable, since he has a hateful Muggle father...

Snape's childhood experiences made him hate Muggles, and when he came to Hogwarts, he was influenced by the pure-blood wizards and even looked down on Muggle wizards.

Except, of course, Lily Evans.

Even Lily's bloodline sometimes made him hesitate.

That subconscious word about the mudblood couldn't just be considered an accident, because deep down in his heart at that time, he did feel that Lily's origins were humble.

"Ever since I entered school, you have been talking about my father - I admit that he is indeed different from what I imagined, arrogant and unreasonable - but what about you? You always think you are the victim, but you are by no means innocent!" Harry said angrily.

"In fact, you are worse than him!"

Severus Snape was a Death Eater!

And he had been a Death Eater from the time he entered the school until the day Lily died.

He was hopeless.

Even though he betrayed me later, it was only because of Lily.

His heart was desolate and empty. Apart from his deformed love and obsession with Lily, all that remained was hatred for James and Voldemort - both of them had taken away the person he loved.

As for the rest of the world, Snape didn't care at all.

He didn't care how many more people Voldemort killed, how many people died before his eyes today...

So, although Harry's words completely broke Snape's heart, they could not change Snape's mind. Cyrus, on the other hand, was more able to hit the nail on the head: "But are you sure he will give you the Resurrection Stone, Severus? He has already lied to you once."

More than a decade ago, Voldemort killed Lily after promising Snape.

"This time is different." Voldemort finally spoke.

With a smile on his face, he beckoned Snape to come to his side, then took out the Resurrection Stone.

"I did do something wrong at that time, and I have already apologized to Severus for that." Voldemort said, "I ignored the importance of Lily Evans to him, thinking that she was just an insignificant woman. But I forgot that everyone pursues different things, and I thought that since Severus wanted it, I could give it to him..."

The Resurrection Stone glowed in his hand.

"As compensation!" Voldemort's words were soft, powerful, and provocative.

Because he knew that this was something Cyrus could never give Snape.

"There are some things that I can do but you can't. That's the reason for your failure, Cyrus." Voldemort said proudly, then he looked at Snape again. Now it seemed that there was only the Resurrection Stone in the eyes of this pitiful man.

"Come here, Severus." He seemed to be hugging Snape.

"I give this to you as an apology and as a reward!" He warmly embraced Snape's arm and held the Resurrection Stone in front of his eyes.

Snape stretched out his hand tremblingly. Rather than picking up the Resurrection Stone, he was reaching out to touch the beautiful skin of his beloved. But when it really came to this, he became afraid again, like a moth flying into a flame, feeling the pain of being burned all over!

"Come on!" Voldemort encouraged, "I will help you revive her, revive Lily Evans!"

"From now on, this girl belongs only to you!"

"She'll be your canary!"

His hand stretched out quickly, like a black shadow!

At this moment, a look of astonishment flashed across Voldemort's face.

Snape grabbed not the Resurrection Stone, but his Elder Wand! "You!"

At this moment, Snape grabbed the other end of Voldemort's old wand, but he didn't expect Voldemort to be so strong. Even with all his weakened body, he couldn't pull the old wand out of Voldemort's hand! This gave Voldemort a chance to react.

He didn't have time to ask Snape why he betrayed him. Just as he was about to cast a spell, Snape stabbed Voldemort's eyes with his own wand! "Snap!"

They scuffled.

But Snape was no match for Voldemort.

He was lifted up quickly. Voldemort's thin body was full of strength! But even so, Snape did not let go of the Elder Wand.

He made a bold decision - since he couldn't get it, then -

Break it! "How dare you!"

Voldemort felt as if his chest was filled with oil and then set on fire!

The anger was not only burning, it was about to explode! He looked at the broken old wand, angrily grabbed Snape's other hand, snatched Snape's wand, then broke Snape's arm and slammed him to the ground! And all this happened in an instant.

Before Harry even got over his hatred for Snape, he saw Snape being thrown to the ground by Voldemort, as if he was throwing away a black torn bag.

"How dare you betray me, Snape!"

Voldemort roared like a devil from hell!

His handsome features were distorted, making him look like his entire face was twisted together. The changes brought about by the black magic experiment were like the appearance of a failed plastic surgery. He was filled with anger and needed to vent! "You ruined everything for me!"

"I promise to give you the Resurrection Stone!"

"I can give you what they can't!"

"But what about you?!"

Voldemort's hoarse voice echoed in the Chamber of Secrets. It was his anger towards Snape, and also like fate's mockery of himself.

And regarding all this, the statue of Slytherin was watching like a ruthless god - watching how his descendants were throwing tantrums like a cursing shrew in the market.

But he really couldn't understand why Snape betrayed him.

But he didn't plan to think about it. The fate of the betrayer was death! "Nagini, it's time to eat!"

He raised his chin arrogantly and looked down at Snape who was lying on the ground wailing. He was waiting for this poor man to be buried in the snake's belly!

But Nagini did not respond to him.

Voldemort was stunned for a moment, then he lowered his head and was shocked to find that Nagini, who had always been by his side, had disappeared.

"Are you looking for Nagini?" Cyrus's mocking voice came.

Voldemort looked over when he heard the sound and saw Cyrus stroking the giant snake's head not far away, while Nagini presented a black stone to Cyrus as if offering a treasure - it was the Resurrection Stone!

"Nagini?"

Voldemort watched as Cyrus reached out and picked up the obsidian Resurrection Stone. The magical stone at his fingertips dimmed as if it had absorbed all the light in the world.

"Do you think Nagini really submitted to you?" Cyrus said sneerly while admiring the Resurrection Stone, "You are not the only one with the power of Parseltongue here."

"But my Parseltongue is the most powerful!" said Voldemort.

He is right.

Among the three people present, Voldemort's Parseltongue is the source of magic, and Harry and Cyrus' abilities all come from him. But what Voldemort doesn't know is that Nagini is a snake, but also a human!

She would not be completely dominated by Parseltongue.

"You just said that there are some things that only you can do and I can't do, and that's the reason for my failure." Cyrus put away the Resurrection Stone and fought back with the same words!

"What I'm telling you is that there are some things that only I can understand and you can't understand, and that's why you fail."

"I can't understand?" Voldemort always felt that these words sounded familiar.

Yes, that's what Dumbledore often said.

He thought it was ridiculous: "You don't mean to say love?"

Cyrus did not object.

"It's just one of them." He looked at Snape, "Do you know why he betrayed you even though you promised to give Severus the Resurrection Stone?"

"I'd like to hear more about it."

"Perhaps you already know that Lily has an irreplaceable position in his heart, but you still don't understand. More than a decade ago, you thought that Lily was just a dispensable Muggle witch who was everywhere and it didn't matter if she died. Now, you just treat her as an object to win over servants, thinking that as long as Severus has her, everything will be fine..."

Cyrus shook his head.

"But he loves her. Just like the second brother in the story loves his lover, he is not willing to watch Lily Potter live in this world in pain as a monster... What he wants is never just the body, but the soul!"

“Your words are absurd!” Voldemort still didn’t understand, but he didn’t want to understand. He just wanted to make one thing clear, which was -

"I haven't lost yet!"

He had a fierce face and looked like a weak wild dog with his tail between his legs, barking like an orangutan:

"I still have powerful magic. More importantly, I am still the master of the Elder Wand!"

"What are you dreaming about?" Harry sneered. "You've already lost, and the Elder Wand is broken!"

"Really?" Voldemort sneered, and this expression gave Harry a bad feeling for a moment.

The next moment.

"Expelliarmus!"

A spell suddenly struck, knocking Harry away! Two wands also flew out of Harry's robes and fell into Voldemort's hands.

Voldemort threw the holly wand and Snape's wand on the ground in disgust, then looked at Cyrus: "I said, I am still the owner of the other old wand!"

"Avada Kedavra!"

The green light pierced Cyrus, and the breath of death filled the entire secret room!

At this moment, Voldemort was in a very good mood! Although the situation was not favorable for him, Cyrus and Dumbledore had been planning for so long, and the plan was linked together, but it failed in the end.

He is still the master of the Elder Wand!

He was still invincible! Those strategies were so pale and ridiculous in the face of absolute power! At this moment, what Voldemort couldn't wait to see was Cyrus' serious and helpless expression.

But when he looked at Cyrus, he saw that the face illuminated by the light of the death curse was extremely calm, as if everything was under the other party's control.

Cyrus held out his hand as Voldemort stared in astonishment...

Under the watchful eyes of wizards all over the world, Cyrus took the killing curse.

“This, is impossible…” Voldemort panicked. He paused and took a few steps back, his eyes seeming to have lost their spirit. “I have the Elder Wand, I have the Elder Wand. You can’t…”

"Are you sure you have?" Cyrus asked softly.

Voldemort's eyes widened. He quickly lowered his head and looked at his hand. He saw that the wand in his hand had turned into ashes like burnt grass and trees...

"This is impossible..."

"Do you think I'll let you get the Elder Wand in Harry's hand?" Cyrus asked back.

He obviously knew that Voldemort would take Harry's wand, which was a trap in itself.

"I have the real Elder Wand!"

Cyrus picked up the incomparable Hallow, which immediately attracted Voldemort's attention.

How he longed to have it! But Cyrus picked up the Serpentwood Wand again, and as for the Elder Wand, Cyrus let it fall as if it were just a small, insignificant branch of a dead tree.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Green lightning struck down! Voldemort's eyes sank along with the old wand. At this moment, the castle seemed to collapse, and the broken world fell into the abyss with Voldemort's pitiful body.
