Chapter 256 A New Prophecy

Cyrus gestured as she fell to the ground, and he released his magic, dragging Hedwig to his side.

Hedwig seemed to have experienced a long journey. She looked very tired, her feathers were a little messy, and she looked a little weak. It seemed that she had not eaten much for several days.

Cyrus wanted to know what made her so urgent that she didn't even have time to eat in order to deliver the letter.

He cast a summoning spell, got some water and food, let Hedwig rest, and then took out the envelope she brought.

Not surprisingly, this was a letter from Harry.

Opening the envelope, Harry's handwriting was very sloppy. He seemed so anxious to get the letter to Cyrus that he didn't even have time to write a formal greeting.

Of course, Cyrus didn't care about that.

[Cyrus, I need to tell you something. It's about the prophecy that you once brought to my attention—]

prophecy?

Cyrus was stunned.

He thought of how he had once asked Harry to pay attention to whether there were any prophecies about him. The divination teacher at Hogwarts was a wizard with a real gift for languages. Although her bloodline was already thin, she could always glimpse some future scenes and get inspiration without knowing it.

She predicted that Harry would become Voldemort's enemy and destroy Voldemort.

It must be said that even with Cyrus's intervention, this prophecy cannot be said to have been broken. Harry did play a very important role in destroying Voldemort.

Originally, Ms. Trelawney's second prophecy was about Voldemort's resurrection, but since Pettigrew had already returned to his master, that prophecy was not spoken by her.

Now, a new prophecy has emerged.

Without even reading further, Cyrus had a hunch that this prophecy must be related to the god of death.

In fact, it was just as he expected.

The letter reads:

[The God of Death is looking for his three sacrifices. No matter how time changes, he will get the souls he deserves.

[They defeated the powerful enemy together and received praise and gifts from the God of Death. The oldest one got the invincible Elder Wand. He praised the Elder Wand's endless magic power, but was secretly attacked and his life was taken away.]

"The story of Death and the three brothers?" Cyrus frowned. It sounded like this so-called prophecy was just a re-enactment of the story of the three brothers. He could recite the rest of the story without even reading on.

The second of the three brothers was an arrogant wizard who was determined to humiliate the god of death and asked for the power to revive the dead. Later, he resurrected his deceased lover, but was driven mad by his coldness and ruthlessness and chose to commit suicide.

Sure enough, the content of the prophecy written by Harry was almost the same.

As for the third part, there is not so much content boasting about the wisdom of the third brother. The god of death still took His third sacrifice, and then, the unstoppable death finally came to the whole world.

Cyrus suddenly had an indescribable feeling. He looked at this story that he had heard countless times and felt that it seemed to be more than just a story.

"The prophecy talks about three sacrifices, not three brothers." He thought, "Dumbledore was the first one. He held the most powerful Elder Wand, but was killed by a sneak attack from the Grim Reaper. Could the remaining two be Grindelwald and me?"

This thought popped into Cyrus' mind.

"He will get the soul that originally belonged to Him," Cyrus repeated.

According to the original story, Dumbledore would indeed die, and not long after his death, Grindelwald was also killed by Voldemort, so the death naturally took away the souls of both of them.

As for the third one...

[The invisibility cloak protects the third sacrifice, but he will eventually be alone and will be tested by death again at the end of his life]

[No one can escape the judgment of death]

"Is it me?"

In fact, because of his existence, Voldemort had no time to carry out his reign of terror after his resurrection, and almost no wizards died tragically. He changed all that, so it is no surprise that the god of death would target him.

only……

"My soul doesn't belong to anyone." Cyrus sneered.

grim Reaper?

It sounds like that, but in reality, isn't he just a guy who can only trip you up in secret?

If he dares to show up, Cyrus doesn't mind having a fight with him! After putting away the letter, Cyrus looked up and noticed that everyone in the courtroom was looking at him. They looked solemn and even worried. Cyrus couldn't help but laugh.

Obviously, when a person's strength is strong enough, his every move will attract attention.

You don't have to speak loudly, but the sound can be deafening.

"Mr. Cyrus, is there anything I can help you with?" Babajide thought about it for a while, hesitated for a long time, and finally asked.

Although Cyrus only lowered his head to read a letter, his frowning and thoughtful look frightened many people. Who knows what was written in the letter? Cyrus was the one who could decide the life and death of the magic world. They could ignore anyone and anything, but they could not ignore him.

"Nothing, Mr. Akinbade," said Cyrus, smiling.

He did not intend to reveal the prophecy, but simply said, “Thank you, Mr. Akinbade, for defending me just now.”

The old wizard nodded. He looked very old, but still energetic. "I just trust Dumbledore's judgment."

He said, "Albus believes in you, otherwise he wouldn't work with you."

Even though Dumbledore is dead, his influence still lives on, especially among wizards of his generation who understand the meaning of this name best.

Finally, Akinbade pleaded with red eyes: "Can you please find the murderer?"

"Of course, I will find him, if only for myself," Cyrus nodded.

Slowly, those people left. Bella and Cassandra came over, and neither of them asked Cyrus what happened, because they believed that Cyrus could solve any problem.

Cassandra did say, "Do you want me to kill that Nuno Bush?"

Cyrus laughed at this. He shook his head and said sympathetically, "Why bother? It's pitiful enough that he has no brains."

Meanwhile, at Hogwarts.

"I hope Cyrus gets the letter soon," said Harry.

Now, he still thinks of Trelawney's crazy look that night. She seemed to be sleepwalking, walking to the tower where Dumbledore fell and muttering to herself like an insane madman.

She ignored the crowds of people watching her, her eyes glowing, just like the legendary third eye.

Then, Professor McGonagall hurried over and evacuated the crowd. Harry and his friends were lucky enough to stay and hear the prophecy.

This time, even Hermione, who believed the least in divination, had nothing to say, and Trelawney fell into a coma soon after she made the prophecy, and she is still lying in the school infirmary.

Apparently, her divination abilities were backfiring on her, and Madam Pomfrey wasn't feeling so optimistic.

"Because she was not predicting an ordinary person, but a god." She guessed, "Trelawney's magical power is not enough to support her blasphemy."

Madam Pomfrey even thought that Trelawney could get this revelation, perhaps it was a warning from Death himself.

The prophet was in a coma, which cast a shadow over Harry and others.

He lost no time in writing to Cyrus.

"The prophecy may not come true." Ginny said, "At least Cyrus will never die!"

She said it very forcefully and decisively. On the one hand, Ginny was indeed very confident in Cyrus. So far, Cyrus had only lost one battle, and that time he had just been resurrected, and his magical power was far from the peak, and he met Dumbledore holding the Elder Wand.

Since then, Cyrus hasn’t lost to anyone.

Even though the opponent this time might be the god of death, Ginny imagined that there would be no exception.

On the other hand, she is also giving herself confidence.

"If Grindelwald and Cyrus join forces, their chances of winning will be even greater," Hermione said. She subconsciously looked towards the castle's courtyard, where everyone knew Dumbledore was buried.

Ron shook his head, obviously sneering at Hermione's words: "Come on, he's almost crazy."

He was referring to Grindelwald.

"He wanders around the castle dirty every day like a zombie. Do you know how many days he hasn't cleaned himself?" He said in disbelief, "If everyone wasn't afraid that he would go crazy, someone would have kicked him out long ago."

He is telling the truth.

In fact, Harry felt that Grindelwald now looked very much like a human being. The light in his beautiful eyes had long since disappeared, and his eyes looked empty as if they had been dug out.

He was lifeless, and while he stood in the sun he looked as if he were lying in a cold, stinking ditch.

When Harry expressed his feelings about Grindelwald, Ginny, Hermione and Ron immediately thought of another person - Severus Snape.

By now, the prince's story was no secret to the four of them.

Snape also met Harry's mother again through the Resurrection Stone, and this time, Lily finally forgave him.

She had no reason not to forgive him, even though Snape was the murderer who destroyed their family's happiness. However, they lived in an era ruled by Voldemort. Even if the Dark Lord didn't know the prophecy, they might have died in the fight against the Death Eaters.

At least now, Harry survived and Voldemort was finally dead.

Snape played a crucial role - Lily was very happy that her former friend could turn back from his wrong path. The regrets and unhappiness of the past had long disappeared in the face of death, not to mention that her memories of Snape were not all bad.

At least, in 1971, the boy who walked out of Spinner's End Alley gave her great childhood memories, preventing her from being isolated because of her abilities and letting her know that having magical talents was not a bad thing.

Snape now looks much better than before, he finally seems to have struggled out of the soil, sprouting again from his rotten body. Maybe he will never fall in love with anyone again, but at least he knows he is still breathing.

"Perhaps he'll feel better after seeing Professor Dumbledore," said Ron.

"No!" Harry shook his head vigorously.

He knew what Ron meant, there was a resurrection stone in Cyrus's hands.

"Have you forgotten the prophecy?" Hermione also blamed, "And the fairy tale - if Grindelwald really used the Resurrection Stone to force Professor Dumbledore to stay in this world, then there would be no need to wait for the god of death to take action, he would go crazy first."

A cold Dumbledore, it's suffocating just to think about it.

"I'm most worried about Cyrus," said Harry. "I gave him the cloak."

This statement made both Ginny and Hermione scream.

"What are you doing, Harry?" They didn't understand why Harry did this. "The prophecy says that the cloak can't help him escape his fate."

"You're hurting him!" Ginny was angry.

But Harry shook his head.

"Haven't you noticed?" he said, "There are some prophecies that sometimes the more you try to stop them, the more likely they are to happen!"

"More than a decade ago, Voldemort thought he could strangle me when I was young, but instead, a fragment of his soul ended up in my head. I became his weakness and the key to his death.

"It was his own choice that led to all this happening," Harry said. "But if we go along with it, maybe there will be a chance of a turnaround."

After he finished speaking, the others were silent for a while, and then Ron said, "You're speaking more and more like Dumbledore, Harry."

This brings the topic back to the ground.

Is that so, Harry wondered, am I speaking more and more like Dumbledore?

Soon, he realized that this was indeed the case.

If it were before, he would not have thought so much, but now, he tried to think from a different angle, tried to find the answer in another way, but he still realized the difference between him and Dumbledore.

I didn't become as smart as Dumbledore, but I became cowardly.

He had to admit that he was afraid.

But he could even overcome death and even give up his own life, so what else was there to be afraid of? He questioned his heart and soon got the answer.

There was nothing to be afraid of in his own death, he could even say he had died once before, but he was afraid that one day he would wake up and hear the news of Cyrus' death, or even not just Cyrus, but also Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville... and many other people.

Before this, he had never thought that these people might leave him.

But Dumbledore's death told him that this was not the case. Anyone could die, even the greatest wizard could not escape death.

That was the Grim Reaper, the Grim Reaper who created the Deathly Hallows, the Grim Reaper who killed Dumbledore...
