Chapter 258 Let’s Go and Meet the God of Death

Harry and the others looked at him in surprise.

After all that, Cyrus was almost no different from the professors at Hogwarts. The castle itself recognized him, and Professor McGonagall and others respected him very much.

Even at the beginning, McGonagall suggested to him that he should take over the position of headmaster.

Of course, Cyrus refused.

"We thought you would be busy right now," Ginny and Hermione said happily.

"Yes, I am very busy." Cyrus nodded, "But most of the things can be handed over to others. Breaking the Statute of Secrecy will take time. The most important thing is to let the wizards understand why they have to do this."

"What will happen to Muggles if the Statute of Secrecy is broken?" Hermione asked a little worriedly.

Cyrus naturally understood her concerns.

Hermione is a typical Muggle wizard. Both of her parents are Muggles and she has never heard of magic before. Wizards like her are most concerned about things in the Muggle world.

She must be worried that after the Statute of Secrecy is broken, non-magical Muggles will be discriminated against.

This worry is not groundless. In fact, Hogwarts has the best example - Filch.

This is a Squib with no magical powers. When Filch was revealed to be a Squib, even Ron couldn't help but secretly laugh at him.

"He will yearn for the power of magic." Cyrus just said, he smiled, "but I think, just like some people are good at math and some are not, there is nothing to blame."

Having said that, Hermione felt much more relieved.

She said, “When we graduate, we can help.”

"Then you have to become Minister of Magic first," Cyrus joked.

In fact, the current Minister of Magic means nothing to him, and the position of Minister of Magic in the British film industry cannot have any influence on this matter.

"Don't worry about it, time will give us the answer." Cyrus was confident.

"Are you here for Death, then?" Harry asked cautiously.

This was their biggest concern during this period. Death was like the dark cloud in the sky over London, lingering in everyone's mind. They were reluctant to ask at first because they were afraid of hearing some bad news.

"If Grindelwald could pull himself together, you'd have help," said Harry. "But he's a coward."

They were obviously disgusted by Grindelwald's behavior.

"He is indeed a coward." Cyrus nodded. He agreed more with Harry's words when he thought about how Grindelwald did not face Dumbledore together with him after Dumbledore's sister died, but ran away alone.

He looked from afar at the homeless man lying next to Dumbledore's grave. Who could have thought that such a person had once swept across all of Europe?

However, he also believed that Grindelwald would not remain decadent forever.

"Actually, I came to see you, Harry," said Cyrus.

Harry looked puzzled when he heard this, but Ron looked as if he expected it - he was obviously used to the fact that no matter who came, the first person they would look for was Harry - as for Ginny and Hermione, they were a little angry.

It's Harry again!

If it weren't for Cassandra, they would have suspected that Cyrus was interested in Harry.

"Looking for me?"

"I think someone should take you there."

"What?"

"Godric's Hollow is where your father and mother lived and where they are buried," Cyrus said. "Today is the anniversary of their death."

This sentence immediately stunned everyone. The last game of the Tournament was held during the summer vacation. So much time had passed since then, and so many things had happened. When Harry came to his senses, he realized that today was Halloween.

Now he was even more at a loss.

Over the years, he has even seen the souls of his father and mother, so why has he never thought of going there to take a look?

In fact, if Cyrus hadn't told him, he wouldn't have known it was today.

"Let's go. I've already talked to Minerva." Cyrus grabbed Harry's sleeve and said to Ron and the others, "Do you want to come too?"

Ron seemed a little moved, but Ginny and Hermione held him back.

"No," said Hermione, "Let Harry go by himself." She took a half step back with Ginny and Ron. "We'll save a seat for you at the dinner, Harry."

After saying that, they left.

Cyrus grabbed Harry, took a last look at Dumbledore's grave in the afterglow, and then cast Apparition.

Godric's Hollow was very different from the last time Cyrus was here.

One obvious difference is that it is much more lively here than last time.

Without the Dementors patrolling here, the Muggles' mental state was much better. On Halloween night, the children from Muggle families in the town were all dressed up in strange ways. In comparison, Harry's wizard costume did not look impressive at all.

So much so that when the two of them walked down the street, there were children who laughed at Harry for not keeping up with the fashion and dressing so unfashionably.

Harry felt very curious about all this, he looked around, the light reflected from the pumpkin lantern reflected in his eyes. He had not spent Halloween in the Muggle world for several years, not to mention that he had no chance to go out and play during the festival before, and Dursley would rather lock him up at home.

"If you're interested, you can play for a while. It doesn't matter today," said Cyrus.

Harry shook his head. "No, I'm not that old anymore."

There was always a sense of vicissitudes in his voice when he said this, but to be honest, he is in the fifth grade now and is definitely not at the age to knock on doors and ask for candy.

"Then let's go to the cemetery first," said Cyrus.

They continued to walk forward, and at this time a little boy dressed as a wizard passed by them. The child was holding a very straight magic book with an unclear title, a robe of Gryffindor style, and a short wand in his hand. Harry was startled when he saw it.

When did Hogwarts start accepting children this age? Harry wondered in amazement.

Because the child was probably only about six or seven years old. Children of this age probably couldn't control the magical power in their bodies. It was too dangerous for him to run around among the Muggle crowd with a wand.

"Hey, kid, don't--" He hurriedly called out to the other person, but froze in place the moment the child turned around.

- The child had a round face, messy black hair that flew wildly and lively, he wore round gold-rimmed glasses on his face, his emerald green eyes looked at him through the lenses - for a moment, Harry thought he saw himself.

In fact, maybe it was me.

Because when the boy saw Harry's costume, he immediately became happy: "Big brother, do you like Harry Potter too?" The child jumped for joy as if he had seen someone with the same interests, and opened the book he was holding without saying a word.

Harry finally caught a glimpse of the title.

It took them a moment to say goodbye to the child, and Harry immediately had a strange feeling.

"So, this is the story book you discussed with me before?" Harry asked.

He kept looking at the back of the little child as he happily left, feeling very unreal inside.

In fact, Harry was no longer surprised by his name appearing in books. The first day Hermione saw him, she cited several books that recorded his deeds of defeating the Dark Lord.

But it's obviously different now.

There was a kid dressed up like him and there was even a lightning bolt sticker on his forehead!

"I really want to know what's in that book," he said.

He was obviously a little uneasy, especially after learning that the person who wrote this story was Gilderoy Lockhart.

"Don't worry, I've checked the content of the story, and I guarantee it's the authentic Harry Potter." Cyrus said with a smile, "If you really want to read it, I think we can buy a copy before we go back to Hogwarts."

Lockhart's story is still the first one, and the plot of the Chamber of Secrets is still in the works. The subsequent plot needs Rita Skeeter's promotion to expand the influence of the story. Sellers does not intend to deviate from the original work. In fact, he is going to give the Muggles in this world the original "Harry Potter".

I have to say that Lockhart and Rita are a perfect match for this.

One is good at writing stories, and the other is good at creating some sensational news events. As a result, Harry Potter was already very popular before it was released.

In fact, if Harry didn't live with the Dursleys anymore, he might have seen Dudley holding onto that book and refusing to let it go! "Forget it." Harry couldn't help but shake his head.

Harry couldn't help getting goose bumps as he thought about what Lockhart had written in his own book and then applied it to himself. He couldn't stand seeing other people praising him.

They continued walking and soon arrived near a church - there was a small square in front of the church and a monument in the center of the square.

It's much quieter here on Halloween Eve.

As they continued to approach, the monument suddenly transformed into an exquisite sculpture.

Of course Harry knew who the statues were - his mother, his father, and himself.

This time, he could not help but burst into tears. After paying their respects, the two continued to walk towards the church. When Harry crossed the street, he looked back and saw that the statue had turned into a war memorial.

Then they came to the cemetery behind the church. What surprised Harry, yet somewhat expected, was that another person had already paid his respects there in advance.

Snape, of course.

He looked no different from when he met Cyrus here a few years ago, dressed in black and holding a bunch of white daffodils in his hand.

"Professor Snape," said Harry.

These days, he was more sincere when he called Snape "Professor". But one thing remained the same: it was still difficult for him not to resent Snape, because Snape still liked to find fault with him during class.

"Harry - Pot." Snape turned his head and saw Cyrus, but just nodded and greeted him. When he saw Harry, he slowly uttered the syllables.

"It seems that someone finally remembered that there are people here waiting for him to pay their respects." Snape habitually mocked Harry, then moved his feet and planned to leave.

In fact, he hoped that Harry would forget it more thoroughly. Why did he show up on a day like this and disturb his and Lily's peace? "Wait, Severus." Cyrus stopped him.

"Can you help me take Harry back to Hogwarts later?" Cyrus asked.

Before Snape could answer, Harry shouted, "Aren't you going to take me back?"

"I have other things to do," said Cyrus.

"I'll wait for him in Lily's room." Snape just said this and left without looking back.

Harry and Cyrus were the only ones left. Harry was very curious about the "thing" Cyrus was talking about. He wanted to know what was so important that Cyrus didn't even have time to Apparate and needed Snape to send him back.

Maybe it has something to do with the Grim Reaper?

But he didn't ask.

The two walked through many graves, and Harry saw too many familiar surnames, each of which made him feel deeply moved. There was even Dumbledore here!

"That's Dumbledore's father and his sister," Cyrus explained for Harry.

Harry just nodded.

Finally, they stopped in front of a marble tomb.

Harry had tears in his eyes, but he didn't cry. He just looked at the inscription on the tombstone, then turned his head to look at Cyrus: "The last enemy to be defeated is death. But can death really be defeated?" He lowered his head, "My parents are dead, and Professor Dumbledore is also dead..."

"Death, and the God of Death... I feel like He is simply invincible..."

Harry was feeling depressed, even a little desperate.

There is no one in this world who has defeated death!

The greatest wizard is dead, Voldemort who created the seven Horcruxes is dead, and even the creator of the Philosopher's Stone is still alive or dead.

But Cyrus said: "Of course someone can defeat death, Harry."

His tone was lighthearted and he looked confident. Harry thought Cyrus was confident that he could be the one who had conquered death. But Cyrus said, "Then you."

"I?"

"Of course, first of all, you have never been afraid of death. The power of the god of death does not scare you at all." Cyrus said, "Secondly, you are still alive. He couldn't take your life."

Cyrus used "he".

"You see, you have already defeated Death. You are so good, that's why Dumbledore is proud of you."

"Life, beyond death!"

His hand was on Harry's shoulder, and neither of them spoke for a long time. It was not until late at night and the town was quiet that Cyrus spoke softly.

"Well, it's time for you to go find Severus, Harry," he said. "Your parents' house is at the end of town."

After Harry left, the graveyard was completely swallowed by darkness.

Cyrus stood there, a chill running down his spine.

At this time, there was a sound of footsteps behind him. Cyrus turned around and saw Grindelwald standing not far away, with the flame of revenge flashing in his eyes: "Let's go and meet the God of Death!"
