Chapter 29 Stealing Potions Ingredients

The light in the Potions classroom was very dim. The classroom was located underground, and Snape would close all the windows tightly every time he came in. If there had not been a torch in the classroom, you might not have been able to see anything at all.

But this cannot be blamed on Snape's dark heart - although it is true - most potions cannot be exposed to strong light, and strong light will usually cause the potion to fail.

Cyrus, wearing an invisibility cloak, slowly followed Harry and walked in with the crowd.

As Harry made his way through the crowded desks to his own cauldron, Cyrus continued on his way to the corner of the podium, where there was a wooden door, behind which was Snape's office.

Snape walked with the wind, his wizard robe fluttering up and down like the fleshy wings of a giant bat. After he walked into the classroom, he first glanced at all the students with his sharp eyes, then stayed on Harry for a few seconds, sneered, and then said: "Today - we are going to make a swelling potion -"

"I hope each of you has a sound brain to understand the steps in the textbook. The potion can't be too thick or too thin, otherwise--" He smiled grimly, looking at the little wizards of Gryffindor, especially Neville, Seamus and Harry, his eyes lingering for a long time, "otherwise if something unexpected happens, whether I give you the swelling-reducing potion depends on whether I am willing or not!"

Actually, Harry's talent in potions wasn't that bad, but the bad thing was that Neville and Seamus were sitting at the table to his right.

Putting these two talents together, every Potions class would be on the news unless there was an accident. Moreover, when Neville was in a mess, it would inevitably affect Harry. Even if not, Snape could deduct Harry's points based on Neville's poor performance.

You guys are sitting so close, why don't you help Neville?

There is no unity and friendship at all, ten points deducted from Gryffindor! You dare to help Neville? Do you think your potion is excellent? Ten points deducted from Gryffindor! Snape's words aroused a lot of dissatisfaction. This was simply saying that Gryffindor would not be treated by name, but no one dared to say anything. Only the little snakes in Slytherin felt the favoritism of the dean and laughed in low voices.

Finally, Snape broke the silence himself.

"Now, why don't you start?"

Neville immediately started to operate in a panic.

"What should I add first?" His round face turned red and his hands holding the materials kept shaking.

"You should grind the herbs into powder first, it's written in the book." Harry whispered. But he immediately regretted it. If he didn't say anything, it might be easier to cause a commotion.

Snape immediately said sternly: "No whispering!"

Then, he walked towards Neville's table. Neville, who was already panicking and nervous, had a complete blank mind now. Cyrus even suspected that he had forgotten the meaning of the two English words "herbs" and "ground into powder".

Now, Snape began to find fault with Neville and Cyrus simply picked up his wand and shot a spark into Crabbe's cauldron.

Then Crabbe's potion exploded, showering the class with it. Everyone screamed as the swelling liquid splashed across their faces. Malfoy's nose swelled up like a balloon as he was showered in the face; Crabbe covered his eyes with his hands and stumbled around, his eyes swollen to the size of his lunch plate.

The classroom suddenly became chaotic, with miserable cries coming one after another. Snape roared loudly: "Quiet! Quiet!"

Cyrus almost thought he was exposed.

Malfoy screamed even louder.

"Students who were splashed by the medicine, come to me to get the swelling-reducing medicine. Wait for me to find out who did it..."

Cyrus didn't hear what was said next, as he had already slipped into Snape's office.

"The horn of a two-horned beast, the skin of an African boomslang--" He raised his wand, and the front end of the wand lit up. With the faint light, bottles and jars that filled an entire wall appeared in front of Cyrus.

"Snape has so many good things."

Cyrus was not polite. In addition to the two materials, he also took out other materials that could be used. Most of them were materials that could be used to replenish a person's life energy. He was not worried about being discovered by Snape. Even if he did, what would happen?

Not knowing who the real thief was, he could only report it to Dumbledore, but Dumbledore already knew that "he" or a ghost of Voldemort was causing trouble. Although he has not yet figured out whether it was Voldemort himself, his Horcrux, or just an evil spell or prop that was controlling all this.

But no matter what, he chose to wait and see, and chose to fight against the fateful enemy hand-picked by Voldemort himself.

Since a miracle had happened eleven years ago, and Harry Potter had also defeated Voldemort last semester, no matter how weak Voldemort was at the time, it was impossible for a first-year wizard to fight against him. But the result was Quirrell's death.

In this case, Dumbledore believes that this time, Harry Potter may be able to defeat Voldemort's conspiracy once again.

And from Quirrell's miserable condition last semester, we can see that Tom Riddle's possession alone will consume a person's life. If Ginny Weasley's energy is not replenished, her life will be in danger.

Although Dumbledore was not in a hurry to stop himself, he did not want to see an innocent little wizard die.

Cyrus took advantage of this and dared to take Snape's potion so unscrupulously.

When he put away the potion and quietly slipped out of the office, Snape had already applied anti-swelling agent to all the students who were harmed by the swelling potion. At this time, he was standing in front of Crabbe's cauldron, thinking with his head down.

"Hmph, a faint spark--" His gloomy eyes swept across all the little wizards and finally stopped on Harry and others.

"Smart little trick! Using the spell is your downfall!"

"Harry Pott, why don't you get out your wand so I can see what spells you've cast?"
