Chapter 36: Oolong's Escape

Marcus Flint and Cyrus stood on the high stage at the same time.

The stage looked a bit like it was made of a dining table. Flint looked at his opponent warily, his face flushed with shame.

He was a sixth grade student, but he had to fight against a young wizard of the same grade under the gaze of nearly a thousand eyes. And the other party seemed so relaxed and at ease, not taking him seriously at all.

He felt humiliated and embarrassed, but in fact, except for the Gryffindor students who were deliberately making a fuss, none of the other students thought there was anything inappropriate about it.

After all, a few minutes ago, a first-year student named Ginny Weasley turned more than a dozen Slytherin students into dried snakes and hung them on the ceiling of the hall.

"I'm going to teach you a lesson this time!" Flynn said sternly.

He really had no confidence, and just watching Cyrus's fingertips twirling the wand made him sweat.

"I was expecting you to perform better, otherwise I would be very disappointed with Slytherin's level," Cyrus said nonchalantly.

For someone like Flint, whose muscles were bigger than his brains, Tom Riddle could teach him a lesson at the first-year level of spells. To be honest, it might be more dangerous for him to rush over with his fists instead of holding a wand.

"Come on, I'll let you have a chance." Cyrus said generously, "You can cast the spell first, or you can use a sneak attack."

His arrogant attitude made Flint grit his teeth, but the Slytherin gorilla did not refuse. He just clenched his wand tightly and breathed hard.

'Don't worry Marcus, you were just careless before.'

He kept telling himself this in his mind.

'She's just a first year wizard, you can't lose!'

Lockhart once again said start, and this time Flint did not attack first. He kept looking at Cyrus vigilantly, ready to defend at any time, fearing that the spell he cast would be knocked away by Cyrus like before.

"What's wrong? You're not going to do anything?" Cyrus felt it was a little funny to see Flint's timid look. He used to look like an orangutan, but now he looked more like a turtle with its head huddled.

He took a step forward, and Flint immediately couldn't help but take a step back. This embarrassing appearance made the Slytherin wizards couldn't help but curse.

"What are you doing Flint?"

"a shame!"

"Teach her a lesson!"

"Drop out of school, loser!" Malfoy cursed the loudest.

It was as if they were not the ones who were afraid of Ginny; as if they were the brave ones, and Marcus was the only cowardly wretch.

Marcus glared at him fiercely, and Malfoy immediately retracted his head and dared not speak.

Now, the gorilla is finally forced to do something.

He raised his wand - Cyrus was glad he still remembered he was a wizard - and fired a stunning spell.

Cyrus knew it was a stunning spell because Marcus said the spell out loud.

He still hasn't mastered the trick of silent spells, which means he can cast those minor evil spells more smoothly.

Cyrus did not defend himself. He just turned his head slightly to avoid this direct and excessive attack.

A duel is not as simple as standing there and casting spells. Even Cyrus found the battle with Marcus very boring.

He yielded a few moves, or rather, his intention to fight with Marcus every time he released a spell was so obvious that Cyrus easily dodged it.

This was too easy for him, but it made the audience in the audience shudder with fear.

From their perspective, "Ginny Weasley" did not fight back for some reason, but could only dodge Marcus' attacks. Every time Marcus cast a spell, it brushed past "Ginny's" small body and hit the wall heavily.

"Ginny, fight back!" Ron screamed in fear.

"Knock her down, Flint!" The Slytherin wizards refused to give in.

The students from every house were very nervous. Three of them were worried about Ginny, while the students from Slytherin were eager to see Flint avenge his defeat! Even Marcus Flint himself thought he had the upper hand. He fired more and more spells and moved forward aggressively, trying to put more pressure on Cyrus.

Ginny Weasley? Nothing more!

He thought, feeling that he had a sure win! Only Snape could see that Cyrus was at ease, and even at ease was a euphemism.

His eyes were very gloomy.

It was already a fantasy that a first-year student who had only been in school for half a semester could defeat a sixth-year wizard. Not to mention that the difference in strength between the two was simply like heaven and earth.

No need to think too much, there is definitely something wrong with Ginny Weasley! "You make me feel very bored, Mr. Flint."

On the stage, Cyrus was tired of this childish fight, so he flicked his wrist and his wand made a whooshing sound in the air.

Flint's powerful spell was actually shattered by Cyrus right in front of him. The seemingly powerful spell seemed like just a useless firework in Cyrus' eyes.

Marcus was stunned, as if a bucket of cold water was poured over him. The indomitable spirit he had just had was instantly extinguished. Now, as he was holding the magic wand and being stared at by Cyrus, he actually felt fear.

Cyrus slowly picked up the wand and suddenly shot out a powerful spell!

The light of the spell instantly illuminated the astonished faces of the little wizards surrounding the stage. They subconsciously closed their eyes and couldn't help but take a step back.

"Armor!" Marcus Flint shouted urgently.

“Boom!”

Then there was a muffled sound, as if a firecracker had exploded.

The stage seemed to shake a few times.

"What's going on?" Ron asked timidly.

Harry didn't look away. "Flint blocked the spell."

Flint on the stage was staggering as if he was drunk, his hands were numb, but he managed to block the curse.

Flint breathed a sigh of relief. After all, at least the spell could be blocked, right? But he didn't know that this was just the power that Cyrus used for the duel. Moreover, a qualified armor spell should not only block the attack, but also rebound the power of the spell.

"How many times can you block it, Flint?" Cyrus asked jokingly.

Marcus looked at the lovely face of "Ginny" and swallowed his saliva in fear, as if what he saw now was not a cute little girl, but a beast! He couldn't help but take a few steps back, but heard another more terrifying voice coming from behind him.

"Use the spell I taught you, Flint--" Snape hissed in his characteristic way of speaking.

Flint shuddered and took another step in Cyrus' direction.

It wasn't that he became braver, it was as if thorns grew on his back, forcing him to move forward.

"Oolong out of the cave!"

The front end of his wand exploded, and a black snake sprang out of it, fell heavily to the ground, raised its body, bared its fangs and began to roar! The little wizards who were nearby immediately jumped away in fear, their faces pale.

Marcus saw that the spell taught by Snape had worked, and immediately looked at Cyrus with pride. However, he could not see any fear on Cyrus' face.

In fact, Cyrus was looking at the little black snake he had summoned.

Compared with the basilisk, it is as small as a black tongue, but it also has its teeth grinning. It doesn't look scary at all, but rather cute.

"What's wrong, Flint, don't tell me you're going to scare me with this thing?" Cyrus chuckled. He had a good control over the Parseltongue and would not speak Parseltongue unknowingly like Harry did.

"It's okay, small ones are cute too."

Flint felt humiliated. Even though he had been humiliated enough during this period, he still couldn't swallow this.

Looking at Cyrus's annoying look, he simply made up his mind and cast another spell at the snake.

This time it was a swelling spell.

The black snake seemed to be inflated with air, and it immediately swelled up! Its head almost touched the ceiling, and it swept its tail hard, knocking Flint away first.

The hall was in chaos, the young wizards screamed, ran around like a pot of rats, and bumped into each other. Lockhart's legs went weak and he fell to the ground.
