Chapter 78 Going to the Secret Chamber

When Fudge slowly came to the Ministry of Magic to work, Dumbledore had been waiting for him in his office for a long time.

"Dumbledore?"

Fudge was startled, feeling the trepidation of a primary school student meeting his head teacher.

"You... why are you here?" He looked very uneasy and put his top hat on the hanger very stiffly.

In the more than one month since Dumbledore disappeared, Fudge felt more comfortable than ever before. He did not need to seek advice from him, and all policies were decided by himself. To be honest, this was the first time since he took office that he truly felt that he was the Minister of Magic.

Before this, he was more like Dumbledore's puppet.

All that time had passed, and nothing seemed to go wrong, right? Fudge didn't want to see Dumbledore come back.

It was better for him without Dumbledore. Although it was Malfoy who drove Dumbledore away, Fudge himself became the beneficiary now. After seeing Dumbledore, he naturally felt a little guilty.

"I've come to get a few things, Fudge. I think - Voldemort -"

Fudge's face turned pale, and he said tremblingly, "Don't mention that name, Dumbledore."

Dumbledore said sternly: "I know that this name has caused too much panic and death in the past, but now, it is just a name. Fearing it will only increase the fear itself, which is of no benefit."

"I, I think we should talk about what brought you here specially." Fudge, with sweat on his forehead, skipped the topic.

Dumbledore had no choice but to continue, "I wonder if his wand is still in the Ministry of Magic? No one has come here to steal it, right?"

The Ministry of Magic has a special department that is used to keep the wands of some criminals. Many wands of Death Eaters imprisoned in Azkaban are still well kept in the Ministry of Magic.

The Ministry of Magic does not usually break the wand of a pure-blood wizard as a punishment, because it is easy for a pure-blood wizard to get a new wand. Not everyone believes that the wand chooses the wizard.

"Yes, that person's wand is of course kept in the most secure place, but..."

"I just wanted to confirm, Fudge. And," Dumbledore blinked, "I want to get something for another student in advance." - It takes some techniques and steps to condense the fountain of life into the Philosopher's Stone, but once the biggest problem is solved, the rest will be nothing.

Two days before the Mandrake fully matured, the red "Fountain of Life" in the crucible finally condensed into a bright red, but slightly turbid, irregular prismatic stone.

It looks like a small piece of red crystal, or like a ripe pomegranate fruit.

“Finally succeeded.”

Cyrus was surprised to hold the magic stone. The magic power contained in the stone was enough to refine an endless amount of immortality elixir, and turning stone into gold was even easier. He tried it for a while and immediately turned a table into gold.

It wasn't just the outside that mattered, as Cyrus cut into the table, even the inside turned to gold.

Then, he extracted a bottle of blood-red potion from the Philosopher's Stone and drank it all. As the hot blood flowed into his throat, Cyrus clearly felt a magical force of life begin to spread inside Ginny's body, filling the part of her life that was previously missing.

The Philosopher's Stone is truly complete.

However, whether the Philosopher's Stone can create a living, breathing, living body is still a mystery. Voldemort tried to use the Philosopher's Stone, but he didn't succeed.

But Cyrus had no time to wait any longer.

On the afternoon of the day before the Mandrake matured, Harry and Ron found an opportunity to go to the bathroom. Cyrus didn't want them to discover the location of the Chamber of Secrets at this critical moment, not to mention -

By this time, his breathing was becoming heavier.

He knew it wasn't nervousness, it was excitement.

"McGonagall is patrolling on the third floor. I need to make a noise to lure her over there."

Cyrus walked quickly in the castle, and when he turned the corner on the fifth floor, he met Lockhart, who was fiddling with his hair as he walked back to his office. Then he saw Harry and Ron sneakily leaving the Gryffindor team and turning into a small path.

"Would it be better if we took Mr. Riddle with us?"

he heard Ron whisper to Harry.

"I mean, he and Myrtle are students of the same generation. Maybe Myrtle will be more open-hearted when she sees someone who has experienced similar things to her."

"But we're too late," Harry reminded, "Ginny is not in the same year as us."

"You're right," said Ron. They didn't even have a chance to go back for their Invisibility Cloak.

Cyrus passed the two of them, and suddenly, Harry paused and looked back.

He seemed to see a familiar shadow, and there seemed to be a strange feeling in his heart - it seemed that at this moment, he had passed by his own destiny.

But there was nothing there, only a ray of sunlight shining in, and the dust dancing gently in the empty corridor.

"What's wrong?" Ron asked.

"Nothing, let's go."

The two of them didn't dare to delay too long, but Cyrus deliberately made a noise when he turned the corner, attracting Mag.

"Potter! Weasley! What are you doing?" Professor McGonagall pursed her lips into a line and looked at them sternly. "I heard you guys were going somewhere?"

"We wanna - we wanna -" stammered Ron, "we wanna go - go see -"

"Hermione," Harry said. Ron and Professor McGonagall were looking at him.

"We haven't seen her for a long time, Professor," Harry said in one breath, stepping on Ron's foot. "We just wanted to sneak over to the hospital and tell her that the mandrake is almost ready and not to worry."

Cyrus heard that Mag was almost crying because of the two of them. He continued to move forward and lifted the Disillusionment Charm at the bathroom door.

He looked up at the wall of the corridor. The words he left last time were still there, as if no one in the entire castle could clean it up.

This time, he needs to leave something new behind——

"Her remains will remain in the secret chamber forever."

The bright red words seemed to be written in blood, stinging everyone who saw it with fear.
